About

The Smashing Pumpkins are one of the most influential alt-rock bands of the ’90s. Billy Corgan formed the band in 1988 with guitarist James Iha. In the 1990s alone, the band released classic albums like the four-time platinum Siamese Dream (1993) — which was ranked by Rolling Stone as one of the greatest albums of all time — and the double album Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness (1995), which debuted at No.1 on Billboard 200 and produced hit singles like “1979” and “Tonight, Tonight.” The Smashing Pumpkins have toured with acts like the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Guns N’ Roses. They’ve made guest appearances on The Simpsons, won two GRAMMY Awards and have sold over 30 million albums.

    Pumpkins never disappoint!

by JuanitaC on 9/11/23FirstBank Amphitheater - Franklin

Billy and the band were great Friday night at First Bank Amphitheater in Franklin, TN. They played all their "hits"and a few from the new record. True professional musicians who "gel"so well on stage and it shows.

Smashing Pumpkins put on an amazing show

by Riley on 9/11/23FirstBank Amphitheater - Franklin

This was the first time seeing the Pumpkins live and I thought they put on an awesome show! They performed a good mix of classics and new songs. Stage presence was great and the lighting really enhanced the show. Very glad I went.

    Fun was had by all.

by Tutu Lou on 9/11/23FirstBank Amphitheater - Franklin

We unfortunately missed Rival Sons, but Interpol did not dissapoint in their limited time alot. As for The Smashing Pumpkins, they did a great job of covering most of the hits and still making time for some deeper cuts for the diehards. They still have it and seemed to enjoy their time with the crowd.

The show was incredible. Billy has still got it! I originally saw SP back in 1996 and was so excited to get to see them again. My first concert in over a decade. I hope they come back to Middle Tennessee again soon!

$1500 VIP package got nothing for it overall waste of money

by Guy with a Kid on 9/11/23FirstBank Amphitheater - Franklin

Never received any information about day of. My daughter and I arrived at 5pm, an hour and a half before the show, to find that all the vip posters were gone, we missed a tour that was set for 430pm without any correspondence, received a bag with a pair of socks in it and a hat. The lounge didn't even have drinking water, had to use tap. No food. No greet or point of contact. Overall, 1500 for the vip package not to mention the cost of pit tickets, was a complete was of money.

by Alfred on 9/11/23FirstBank Amphitheater - Franklin

This was the best concert! I missed Rival Sons but I did catch Interpol and finally the main act, The Smashing Pumpkins. I’ve been a fan since ‘93 and 30 years later I caught the show live! The performances from both bands was awesome. I’m new to Interpol but The Smashing Pumpkins did not disappoint! The sound, the experience, the venue. Everything was amazing!

Fun until the monsoon rain arrived

by Woody on 9/9/23Pine Knob Music Theatre - Clarkston

All was good and the band and atmosphere was great. We weren't able to see the entire concert do to weather conditions and the concert was called due to lightening.

    Disappointed with the venue

by Wanda on 9/9/23Pine Knob Music Theatre - Clarkston

As far as the Smashing Pumpkins go, the show was excellent but unfortunately because of a bad call on behalf of the venue Pineknob, they ended the concert about an hour early due to bad weather, which honestly only lasted 10 minutes when the week before I was there for a different show and they let the show go on with thunder and lightning going on at the same time, and you could tell that the band was taken by surprise that they were stopped in the middle of their show due to weather. Pineknob made a very bad call and to be honest, they should be compensating everyone who was there that night

    Put your phones away

by Mayonnaise on 9/9/23Pine Knob Music Theatre - Clarkston

The artists, venue and staff were outstanding. What my friends and I were discussing is that we do not plan on attending as many live concerts in the future. And this is because disrespectful attendees take their phones and record entire songs. This obstructs the view of the people behind and we all end up looking to the side television screen to see. Why pay money for that?

Rained out, no big hits played!

by Alek on 9/9/23Pine Knob Music Theatre - Clarkston

They played their recent songs, then it rained an hour in and they cancelled! Im mad but I love smashing pumpkins and know they couldn’t have done anything about it. Oh well, but not impressed.

    Yah

by Crypto Red on 9/9/23Pine Knob Music Theatre - Clarkston

SP are a consistent 7/10. I went for the nostalgia. They should stick to the heavy cuts. Jelly belly was beautiful. Too bad the show got cut short.
