Nothing but good things concerning the screw tape letters book but seeing this will make you want to read the book again! Outstanding!
I wondered how they would be able to cover so much from the book. They succeeded and still were loyal to the source material’s narrative. The lead’s voice/tone was perfect for the role. I do not know how he remembered all those lines for basically a play long monologue.
I had never read The Screwtape Letters . I really have no idea what it was about friend Rainy asked if I would go with her. I love the performance of the convention center so I said yes. This was by far the best production I have seen in the last three years at the Cobb in Country center! Although I’ve enjoyed the ballet and many other performances This was captivating, the author, CS Lewis. The performers were amazing. I would say this again
FPA (Fellowship for Performing Arts) production of The Screwtape Letters was superb in every way. Professional production and tremendous execution by Brent Harris as Screwtape and Anna Reichert as Toadpipe. Both well deserving of the standing ovation received.
This marks our second experience with a stage adaptation of C.S. Lewis's writings, and it was nothing short of spectacular. The actors delivered an impeccable and ingenious interpretation. Throughout the performance, we were captivated by their portrayal of Screwtape's intense struggle to keep a soul from Heaven's embrace. We eagerly await the next show.
I personally enjoyed the performance by the cast members. The sound effects were riveting at times and enjoyably laughable when called for at other times. I left with a keen awareness of some things I need to change in my spiritual walk. There is always room for improvement--yes? My only slight criticism, very slight, is I wish for the sake of others who attended with me from my church that there was a short synopsis about The Screwtape Letters in the program. Some had not read the book and were totally lost. It was after we explained what was happening "after the performance"what they wish they had known before the performance. It would have made it more relatable. Overall, a fine play with superb acting.
We had seen this play in Washington DC in 2018 . We were even more impressed this time in Atlanta with the message of the story, items to ponder even more deeply, and the acting ! Superb first class all the way!
VERY faithful to C.S. Lewis, amazing to see the Christian faith understood and portrayed so well. The adaptation to a play was excellently done and it was an amazing opportunity to go out with my girlfriend and see our faith put on center stage. 10/10
It was amazing that every line was memorized with no breaks! So impressive, and it made the book so much more understandable. Great show!
This play really brought the book to life! Funny, intriguing, creative and intellectual. An interesting approach to reveal how the enemy uses lies and manipulation to pervert God’s Truth.
Performance was amazing! Great venue. Enjoyed the day!
This is the second production I’ve seen from this company and hope to see many more. The Screwtape Letters performance was outstanding. The actor who played Screwtape was amazing. He held your attention for the entire evening. His voice and engaging manner put C.S. Lewis’s message across in an impactful way. I will always remember this as one of the best plays I’ve seen.
The performance was spectacular and thought provoking. Enjoyed it very much!
I am so glad to see quality performances of Inspiring material being offered. I hope to see more performances like this. Such great truths were shared at this production of the Screwtape Letters. The main actor was incredible from beginning to finish.
I was expecting some actual acting among and between characters but I guess the book is all letters from one character to another.
Amazing. Compelling. Extraordinary. Please come back!
Memorable! Funny, Thought provoking! There was not a moment I was not a captive audience. The acting was superb. 90 minutes, nonstop. We was so disappointed when the play was over. The subject matter really made you think. The Devil is real. God is alive. CS Lewis was a genius.
This presentation did C. S. Lewis proud. I have read and studied the Screwtape letters several times. this production brought it to life. Anyone who is a C. S. Lewis fan should see this production...as well as those who don't know C. S. Lewis. It is a good way to be introduced to his genious.
Love the way this performance represented the best parts of the book! Extremely well done. Excellent acting and crowd engagement for what is essentially a 90-min monologue!
Great. Great. Great. Great. Great. Great. Great. Great. Great. Great. Great. Great.
