The Rock Orchestra By Candlelight are a band of classical musicians from the United Kingdom who transform rock and metal songs into dark symphonies. The group of 14 musicians regularly performs concerts bathed in an ethereal candlelit glow as they turn songs by AC/DC, Metallica, Rage Against the Machine, Foo Fighters, Nirvana, Linkin Park and more into swirling, dark rhapsodies that bridge the chasm between metal, hard rock and classical music. In 2024, The Rock Orchestra will embark on a tour of their native U.K. as well as Europe and the U.S. to present their thrilling new 90-minute show.Â

It was pretty good đ Volume was way too loud! All seats are good in this hall.
We really enjoyed the show. They played a lot of our favorite songs. The singers were great and the musicians were amazing. Had a wonderful time.
Great music. Awesome musicianship. Theatrical presentation. Event staff smooth! Beautiful, historic venue with good memories of prior events...including the McClatchy media Christmases as a child.
Didn't know what to expect as this was a first concert of theirs i went to. They were very talented and would definitely be down to watched them live again!
Everything was excellent about this show. All the singing, instruments and high energy was contagious. One of the best shows I've seen. HIGHLY recommend!!
This was my first experience with the Rock Orchestra and I will definitely be back! Amazing! Unable to adequately describe the event - it is so original!
Love the orchestral version of popular Rock đ¸ songs. The show was highly entertaining. The orchestra looked like they really enjoying entertaining the audience. Definitely will see them again when they return.
I had seen the Zombie video on YouTube and loved it, so based on that alone, I got 2 tickets for my wife and I to attend the performance. First of all, what a beautiful venue, I had never been to McCaw Hall, and it exceeded expectations. About the performance itself... well nothing short of wonderful. From the opening of Thunderstruck, to the finale of Enter Sandman, it was excellent. So seldom do I (64) and my wife (58) get to attend something where we both know all the songs, but this was it. The performance itself was excellent, the musicians are extremely talented, and pretty much blew us both away. Lead vocals? Wow. Both singers complemented each other perfectly, and the energy they pushed out into the crowd was electric. All in all, an amazing night out, in a wonderful venue, seeing an amazing group of talented musicians.
Had to leave, feared hearing loss. Loved the songs, loved the music, but volume way too loud for the venue.
This was almost entirely monotonous heavy metal or speed metal music that didnât really translate well to orchestral instrumentation. Vocals were overpowered Colorful, but uninteresting stage theming. Uncomfortably bright strobe lighting effects. Performers brought high energy and some worthy musicianship but it was too loud. I think many attendees were surprised. Needed a real producer to improve this concept.
The music was great! There were moments when the singers were overly theatrical, which distracted from the talent on stage. It would be cool if they toned down the production (e.g., strobe lights, giant skull swinging wildly) and let the music be in the forefront.
The performance was amazing. Great music talented musicians awesome performance â¤ď¸
I thought the rock ânâ roll Orchestra was very good. My only problem was with some of the lighting. There are times when the bright white Spotlight goes directly into the audience and that drives me crazy. Other shows have done that also. It takes away from the experience for me. But overall, it was entertaining. I look at this type of show as a one and done. Probably wonât go see them again because now I know what itâs about. But again, I did enjoy myself.
What an amazing experience. The orchestra is so talented and the female vocalist made those songs her own. The male vocalist also just as talented as the female vocalist. Loved the show and will definitely see them again.
Would highly recommend, was better than I could have ever expected!
The musicianship is of the highest order! I smiled the whole show!
We enjoyed the stage decorations, costumes, singers, and about 2/3 of the music. The other third was hard rock choices we had never heard of and their finale of FU seemed rude to say the least. I left when they flipped off the audience. I WAS considering recommending a field trip for our middle school orchestra students. Also, it seemed the second half of the show got extremely loud and I was sorry I didnât bring earplugs to an orchestra performance. The audience was mostly age 50+ and we were hoping for more recognizable songs.
It was a high energy show that truly ROCKED! Hard to believe that there were no guitars. Great vocals as well. Would see it again.
The "Orchestra"wasn't a full Orchestra and there were quite a few moments that myself and others around me caught them missing notes... yet the music never had errors. So lipsyncing but with their instruments???? The show was a fraud. And the audience... I felt like I was in some sort of senior citizen field trip or something. I'm in my 40s and I felt like I was the youngest there. Needless to say, ill never go again to this show and I surely won't recommend it to others. This was like ordering something off of temu or wish!
