About

The Rock Orchestra By Candlelight are a band of classical musicians from the United Kingdom who transform rock and metal songs into dark symphonies. The group of 14 musicians regularly performs concerts bathed in an ethereal candlelit glow as they turn songs by AC/DC, Metallica, Rage Against the Machine, Foo Fighters, Nirvana, Linkin Park and more into swirling, dark rhapsodies that bridge the chasm between metal, hard rock and classical music. In 2024, The Rock Orchestra will embark on a tour of their native U.K. as well as Europe and the U.S. to present their thrilling new 90-minute show.

  • "You Shoulda Been There"Experience

by Gigi on 12/1/25Rating: 5 out of 5

This experience was one to remember. From timeless songs being played to awe-striking performance and sound, I was thoroughly impressed. My only disappointment is that the show had to come to an end. The Ace of Spade's performance was 11/10. The ladies had beautiful voices. The instruments were played beautifully and the solos did not disappoint. This is a "do not miss"experience for any person who enjoys rock or metal.

  • Phenomenal Night

by Abi on 11/27/25Lyell B Clay Concert Theatre - MorgantownRating: 5 out of 5

This was such a fun night. The energy is upbeat, the atmosphere was so fun. When I was leaving, I heard sooo much "That is not what I was expecting but I really liked it."Feels like an understatement. I loved this and would absolutely go again.

  • Amazing and unexpected

by WV Fam on 11/26/25Lyell B Clay Concert Theatre - MorgantownRating: 5 out of 5

The experience was awesome! Did not expect it would be as good as it was. To be honest, sounded better than many bands performing live. Very friendly for all ages. I hope they decide to go to other locations in WV.

  • too far away

by eric on 11/26/25Chrysler Hall - NorfolkRating: 3 out of 5

The show was great and I wish we had seat closer to the show! From the pictures on line from the balcony the stage looked closer. It was nice to see the seats closer to the stage were not jammed on top of one another and I believe there was more elbow room there then in the balcony. Foe us being comfortable in our seats is what helps make a show and the balcony was not the place.

  • Very Entertaining

I really enjoyed it . I would have loved to have a program that listed the song titles and original artists.

  • Fun experience!

    by Justine227 on 11/24/25Chrysler Hall - NorfolkRating: 5 out of 5

The musicians and vocalists were fantastic. Great set list. Only critique was when the sax took the lead. The horns took away from the orchestral vibe of the strings. Overall, it was a super fun show that I would recommend to others!

Excellent....I didn't know what to expect but myself, husband and 22 year old daughter loved it.
