The story, music, sets, actors, theater and audience made this one of the best shows I have ever seen. I cried, laughed and tapped my toe. The actors were perfectly cast, some in a nonconventional way. I am so thankful I made the choice to drive into the city for this joyful experience.
They did an excellent job casting the tour. Except for a Trent who is too young (but otherwise, excellent), everyone else matched the talent and enthusiasm of the original troupe. They kept the heart in the show and brought joy to every moment. It is a well-constructed musical, without any padding. After the heartless, miscast thing that was the movie, this production reminds you that movie glitz does not equal heart. You will not be disappointed.
The Prom was a great musical. I got to see it in Cleveland, Ohio in July and got tickets with my daughter when I saw they were coming to Hershey, PA. Hershey Theatre had great sound and seating. The Prom cast was awesome. Enjoyed seeing them both times. Highly recommend! I also liked that Hershey collected prom outfits for kids in need.

i discovered this show when it came out as a movie on netflix and i absolutely fell in love with it. i was so worried i would never be able to see it live since it closed on broadway but when they announced the tour i never bought a ticket so quick in my life lol the cast was phenomenal and everything about the show was perfect! this show means so much to me and i’m so grateful i was finally able to see it live ❤️
Funny, fun, moving and real. Choked me up at times and had me dancing in my seat at times. Loved it!
Being fans of "The Prom" on Broadway (saw it 3 times), we wanted to experience the musical AGAIN and noticed that it was traveling around the country. We saw it at The Hershey Theatre lasty week and, along with the ENTIRE audience, gave it a STANDING OVATION at the end! It was absolutely true to the original, the dancers and leads were terrific with their portrayal of the characters and with the energized and intricate choreography, and it still resonates in our hearts in these troubling times with both its humor and poignancy! If anyone can get a chance to see this show, Don't hesitate! You won't be disappointed! It's a real treasure!
The show was great! I had gotten tickets for the back row and ended up sitting close to the stage it was great. The staff was so nice as well!
Free parking was a plus we made a whole Hershey mini vacation over seeing this play

I really didn't know what to expect, but this show was awesome, the songs were fun, the message was so good and all the actors were great! Can't reconnect it enough!
The Prom at Hershey Theatre was a wonderful performance and we loved every second of it. The show was really funny and touching, we had a blast watching it! The only negative part of the show was a family that had their masks down two rows ahead of us, as they were not corrected by Hershey Theatre staff even though masks were required at the show.
Saw it on Broadway & film. Several key roles were taken by understudies but no announcement to that effect. The one cast member we knew was off that night. Were people sick, just taking the night off, or is this rotation of roles routine for this company?
We thoroughly enjoyed the show on 12/29/21 2pm matinee. It contained many understudies and everyone was so amazing! The message was very good as well.
Three of the major roles were understudies, including Emma, Alyssa Greene, and Mrs. Greene. Emma was good. Alyssa was mediocre. Mrs. Greene was bad, and her costumes didn't even fit. The set was really minimal. The orchestra was good. I wish I hadn't wasted my money. We saw this show on Broadway and it was excellent. Too bad the touring company didn't live up.
The show is fantastic! The cast is so good, and the dancing is out of this world! Highly recommend!! Don’t miss this one!
This first national tour delivers all of the FEELS of the original Broadway show, and Patrick Wetzel in the role of Barry Glickman is STELLAR. The show looks and sounds fabulous and got the audience up on their feet before it was over. LOVED IT.
Loved this show and the touring cast is awesome! Highly recommended to any theatre fans!!
Hershey theater did not disappoint with this musical. They also took great precautions regarding social distancing. My only disappointment is they did not ask for our vaccination card. Masking was required and most people adhered. Overall, I would do it again. I thought it was handled very well and the production was fantastic.
