About

Based on Mel Brooks' 1968 film of the same name, "The Producers" is about Max Bialystock and Leo Bloom's attempt to stage the worst musical ever and run away with their investors' money. When the curtain goes up on their gigantic singing-and-dancing spectacular, though, they realize their plan has gone ridiculously wrong. Full of hilarious jokes and sharp satire, "The Producers" is pure fun!

What a great experience. Nice venue and really good seats at a reasonable price! The cast was top notch. I would not only go to see this show again, but I highly recommend it to not only someone who has never seen it before, but those who have seen any of the other forms of this wonderful tale. Whether the original movie with Zero Mostel and Gene Wilder, or the original Broadway production with Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick, this show is a must see!

The production was excellent. The voices were always on pitch and fit the mood of the characters. The costumes were great and we really enjoyed it. Looking forward to more productions.

  • Fabulous production!

I've never seen a better production of The Producers! Never! The casting was fabulous: Both leads were perfect, the dancers and choreography was superb, and the singing excellent. The female lead was astounding and flirted so well with everyone on stage. All in all, we could have been on Broadway--it was that good.

  • Great Show!

The Producers at the Skokie Theatre was a terrific show. The two lead actors were capable of performing on Broadway and I am frankly surprised that they are in a small venue. The staging, orchestra, costumes and set belonged at least in a downtown Chicago theatre if not in New York. Bravo to the entire cast but the actors filling the roles of Max and Leo were truly spectacular.

  • OUTSTANDING IN EVERY WAY

The performances were right on (I liked this Leo so much better than Matthew Broderick!!) Max was great and Oolla was perfect! Loved the energy, pacing and look of the show. The only thing that was a problem was Ticketmaster. Their website did not respond to seeing the tickets and printing and had to go to box office.

  • Extraordinaire

This show was so well cast. The chemistry the energy, the professionalism made up one of the best produce shows I’ve ever seen, and I am very critical. Encourage anyone to see it while it’s here. I may even see it a second time. We all loved it.

I have seen The Producers live before in London and thought that this production of The Producers couldn't live up to that. How wrong I was. The cast did an amazing job. And I can't stop telling people how much of a must-see this is.
