    Wonderfull Evening with Cary

by KB on 9/19/22Warner Theatre - Washington

We had a wonderful time watching one of the best movies. Cary was gracious, friendly and funny. If anything could have imporved it would have been the venue letting us know what to expect in regards to lining up, time it would take, etc. However, the experience and evening was perfect regardless.

    More than expected!

by DavidDeuce on 9/19/22Warner Theatre - Washington

The movie is the cult classic, that’s established. Seeing it with wholly appreciative was amazing. Cary’s stories were amazing, funny and engaging. If I were to issue a complaint, it’s that the show ran well last 11pm. Not that I have a bedtime, but the parking garages do - and we were warned by a theater employee to be prepared. An earlier start time would be appreciated so we don’t have to worry about parking issues.

    Best night

by Nonnie on 8/2/22Embassy Theatre - Fort Wayne

I was with family and we loved seeing the movie on the big screen! Mr Elwes was funny and engaging in relating his memories. We also did the meet and greet and while these are always short they did give enough time for a quick meeting and he was friendly and very sweet!

    Expected a little more

by Daveh on 8/1/22Embassy Theatre - Fort Wayne

Without any real details about the night I made some assumptions about what would happen. I thought maybe he would come out initially and talk about the making of the movie or other interesting fact that wasn’t in his book. Thought maybe he would do a commentary as the film played interjecting interesting stories or little known facts. Nope, they just rolled the film and played it all with the crowd quoting all of the lines along with the actors on screen. (Very Rocky Horror kind of thing) Cary came out for a Q&A session for about 30 minutes after the movie which was interesting, but again I just expected more and found the audience questions to be uninteresting. Still I am a huge fan of the movie and the actor. If you are looking for true insight about the movie, buy his book.

    Great Fun and Experience

by Kelli on 8/1/22Embassy Theatre - Fort Wayne

I wasn't sure what to expect but loved seeing the Princess Bride on the big screen in a historical landmark. The venue was beautiful. I was also only expecting about 4 - 5 fan questions that were carefully selected. I was happy to see that they got through nearly the entire box of questions and very few were skipped over. Cary Elwes is as entertaining off screen as he is in his funny roles on screen.

    Amazing Night!

by Faith on 8/1/22Embassy Theatre - Fort Wayne

We went to this for my birthday and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better birthday! It was so awesome to watch the movie on the big screen and hear all of Cary’s stories. He is hilarious! I wasn’t sure what to expect when meeting him but he was the nicest person ever. And the fact that he wished me a happy birthday was really the icing on cake and will hold that memory for years to come. Thank you for an amazing night!

    Lovely Experience

by Loree on 8/1/22Embassy Theatre - Fort Wayne

This is Nirvana for Princess Bride fans. Watching the movie in a massive theatre, cheering for our heroes and booing Prince Humperdink, then listening to Cary Elwes talk about making the movie. Enchanting.

    Amazing, BUT there were requirements

    by N. P. on 8/1/22Embassy Theatre - Fort Wayne

The show itself was amazing. We did a viewing of the Princess Bride and Cary came out and answered some questions from the audience. We paid extra for meet and greet tickets and as we were heading out to meet him we were told that a mask, vaccine card or a proof of negative test was required. We had none of those things on us. We were treated rather rudely and was told that five emails went out about it, but there was nothing posted on the event and I received no emails about it from the event hall or ticketmaster. We we unable to do the meet and greet.

Amazing! Cary Elwes was humble, engaging and very funny!

by Sullioli on 8/1/22Embassy Theatre - Fort Wayne

Engaging seeing the movie with a big group of people who knew and loved it! As much fun as a midnight showing of Rocky Horror Picture Show. Cary Elwes was so entertaining recounting funny moments of filming the movie and relating how the group of actors were so close and the time filming was like being at camp. Bad food and making up evening entertainment. Hearing the human side of actors was wonderful and showed their just like us.
