If PRINCESSES BRIDE is your favorite movie, then...

    by BillGreene on 12/12/22

... this is a "Bucket List" must see! PB is my wife's favorite film, not mine, but this was a lot of fun, hearing other fans recite the best lines - and laughing and cheering. I thought that might be annoying but it was kind of warning to feel that love. The VIP Meet & Greet was worth it, too. We were the very last in line, so the time pressure with Cary wasn't rushed - and he didn't seem the least bit tired. I've worked with many celeb level actors in my TV career, and he's as nice and down to earth as they come.

    Very Disappointed

by Unhappy on 12/4/22Chevalier Theatre - Medford

This event was rescheduled twice and insufficient notice was given for the second rescheduling. I contacted TM for a refund and while all TM personnel were professional and escalated the issue, I have yet to hear from the event promoter. I am very disappointed in the manner in which this (is not) being handled.

    Not worth the money

by Anjie on 11/29/22Toyota Oakdale Theatre - Wallingford

At $70 a ticket, I would expect more than a showing of the movie, and a pre-approved Q & A session. Then to have an autograph session with Cary Elwes and need buy his book? I thought THIS was going to be an interactive session about the making of the movie, not a book promotion! If I knew I was just going to see a movie I NEVER would have paid this amount of money. Also, these $70 were far away, and it would have been nice to see Cary Elwes' face on the monitors, instead of seeing a tiny head. In addition, parking was extremely far away, and we needed to walk through hundreds of EMPTY parking spaces to get to the car. The lot was extremely dark, and hard to see people walking back to their cars. VERY unsatisfied.

    Loved it!

by Cpcrew5 on 11/29/22Toyota Oakdale Theatre - Wallingford

I came with my husband & kids and we all loved it! The movie showing was a lot of fun with such a big crowd cheering & clapping and reciting our favorite lines, but getting to hear from Cary in person was amazing. Huge fan and ways will be!

    A Truly Inconceivable Experience

by Erica Watters on 11/29/22Toyota Oakdale Theatre - Wallingford

I had a magical time viewing The Princess Bride with fellow fans. Cary Elwes talked for an impressively long time - he may not have answered most of the questions but he certainly gained my respect. Thank you for such a wonderful evening. ❤️

    Not worth the money

by Donna P on 11/29/22Toyota Oakdale Theatre - Wallingford

I thought that this was going to be a play staring Carey Elwes. I was very disappointed to know that I paid as much to simply watch the movie that I’ve seen many times growing up. Though I thoroughly enjoyed seeing Carey Elwes, it was not worth the money!!

    Meet and Greet chaos

by JanR on 11/29/22Toyota Oakdale Theatre - Wallingford

We loved seeing the movie with other fans - it was fun reciting the lines along with the movie! But the Meet and Greet afterward was pure chaos! The instructions we received beforehand said we needed to wear masks and to stay in our seats after the movie. Both were incorrect. Only a small percentage of people were wearing masks; and after waiting in our seats for about 15 minutes, we saw a crowd of people (who were obviously also going to the Meet and Greet) start exiting. Turns out, instead of having some sort of order to how groups were brought in to meet Mr. Elwes we were told to get in line with no order whatsoever. The line stretched quite a way back but we were lucky enough to be about in the middle. It took us well over an hour to get into meet him (including probably 15-20 minutes of standing with no movement or instructions at all). On the plus side, he was incredibly charming and gracious! I don't know how he had the patience to meet so many people, but he was such a pleasure to talk to. He spent several minutes chatting before having a picture. We were not allowed to bring our phones in to take our own picture; and 3 days later we have not received instructions on how to get the picture that was taken.

    Disappointed

by Amy on 11/29/22Toyota Oakdale Theatre - Wallingford

Movie screen was very small....would have been better on my phone. Q & A with Cary was awesome, but again couldn't see him at all. Was assuming they would have a camera on him and project to the entire theater. Will never attend an event like this again.

    Good

by FS on 11/29/22Toyota Oakdale Theatre - Wallingford

Was disappointed in the screen size for this viewing. It should’ve been bigger. But otherwise it was a lovely evening.

    Ok. Small screen.

by Hardwebb on 11/29/22Toyota Oakdale Theatre - Wallingford

The movie was great of course. However, paying $80 per person to watch it on a 12 foot wide screen with 5000 other people was disappointing. For that kind of money it should have been a jumbo screen. Listening to Carey was fun and interesting. He spoke and answered questions for about 45 minutes.

    Inconceivably INCREDIBLE

by G-RET on 11/29/22Toyota Oakdale Theatre - Wallingford

Rewatching a classic film with a like-minded audience kindled love and excitement for the characters and the story. It was an incredible collective experience hearing so many people recite and laugh over iconic lines from the film. Separately, Cary Elwes was immediately charming and energetic. His tales concerning the filming, the mishaps, and the circumstances that surrounded the making of the film were refreshing and awe-inspiring. I was so happy to have been able to share this experience with my daughters as they are huge fans of the story as well.

    A unique experience in Medford

by Mara on 11/28/22Chevalier Theatre - Medford

First of all, the Chevalier Theater is a cool venue. We had decent seats, but tbh they all seemed fine. The movie is a cult classic for sure. Kennedy did a great job with Cary at the Q&A. And Cary did not disappoint. He was charming and generous, and gave some great behind the scenes info to a crowd that hung in every word. It was my first time seeing this movie and I’d definitely go to this kind of event again. Big thumbs up!!

    Wonderfully fun evening

by RondaB on 9/24/22Warner Theatre - Washington

The only downside was the VIP Meet & Greet instructions after the event were unclear. We were told to stay in our seats until further instructions were given, no one ever gave us details, and everyone eventually just lined up, but some direction would have been appreciated.

    Fantastically Entertaining

by Mark and Becki on 9/22/22Warner Theatre - Washington

Have always loved the film. Seeing it on the big screen in a packed theater with others who equally love it was a treat. And having Cary Elwes do an audience Q&A after the screening was great fun. His insights and behind-the-scenes stories were both poignant and hilarious. Worth it!

Loved the group atmosphere watching such an iconic movie (everyone chanting the famous lines!), and the discussion afterwards with Cary, and the meet & greet made my year!

by Cindy on 9/19/22Warner Theatre - Washington

This was to celebrate my husband and my 15th wedding anniversary. What a great time! The audience all loved the screening, and Cary Elwes was engaging, fun, and full of great tidbits about the filming. This was such a wonderful evening and could have listened to Mr. Elwes for hours more!

This was a fabulous event, and Cary was great.

by Glen on 9/19/22Warner Theatre - Washington

Obviously one doesn't go to this event unless you love the movie. And we love the movie. Getting to watch it with a large group was fun, and then the q & a with Cary Elwes was huge fun! If you love the movie, you would love this evening.

    Had fun storming the castle

by Had fun stoeimg on 9/19/22Warner Theatre - Washington

It was a wonderul experience. Enjoyed watching the film with other fans. The Q&A session was great. The ticket prices were decent. The theatre allowed the purchase of food and beverage, and you could bring your purchases inside the theatre with you... not something you find alot at "stage" venues.
