The Price Is Right Live on Tour

Seeing The Price Is Right Live is a little bit like being reunited with a childhood friend. Anyone who grew up anywhere near a TV from the early 1970s onward probably has the classic game show embedded forever in their consciousness; seeing it play out in front of you (and maybe even taking part) can be a thrillingly surreal experience. But it's much more than just a nostalgia trip. Whether you're a lifelong fan of the show or it's your first exposure to the whole concept, the stage version of The Price Is Right is an enormous amount of fun, with random audience members picked to compete for cash and prizes by playing challenges like Plinko, The Big Wheel and The Showcase. If you're among the lucky attendees who get the famous call to "Come on down!" you just might feel a little chill go up your spine. But even if you aren't, it's still a blast to be part of the whole thing as it happens.

About The Price Is Right Live

In 1972, a part of TV history began its journey with the premier of The Price Is Right on CBS. When contestants heeded host Bob Barker's iconic call to "Come on down!" and take part in what has become one of America's most beloved game shows, a legacy started that would last for decades to come. The Price Is Right is one of the most popular, longest-running TV shows ever, so it's not surprising that it spawned a stage version in 2002. When you attend The Price Is Right Live, you may not be on TV but you're still getting the full experience. Whether you're one of the randomly selected contestants or a spectator, you see the classic game played out before your eyes, as people do their best to guess prices in order to win cash and prizes.

To expensive $$, to little entertainment,

by LolaJane on 4/9/15Mid Hudson Civic Center - Poughkeepsie

For the $ paid to see this show I was very disappointed. First.. the seating was horrific (Not the shows fault) But that really had an impact on the show. You were sitting arm to arm, leg to sweaty leg in folding chairs with peoples coats and belonging falling on your lap. You could not move from your seat once you finally found it. The whole row would have to stand with their belongings if you wanted to get up. soo uncomfortable. couldn't see past the mans head in front of me so I had to watch the whole show on the tv screen. I paid for good seats and would have been more comfortable in the stadium seating. Lesson learned. there. Second. The prizes and $ were not much. people only won $ in the hundreds Third. Its almost impossible to win the show cases. you have to be within $100 of the actual price to win. Bummer... Was very disappointed crappy venue and the show was a let down. Oh well

This IS The Price is Right!

by Starwolf23 on 4/3/15Cross Insurance Center - Bangor

If you're a Price is Right fan, a game show fan, or just enjoy having an all-around good time (with the chance to win some prizes, of course), you owe it to yourself to go to The Price is Right Live. SOME IMPORTANT THINGS TO NOTE: 1. READ THE OFFICIAL RULES!!!!! I heard sooo many people while waiting in line having no idea how the show was going to work, and were constantly spouting off misinformation to others around them. If you read the rules, it tells you absolutely everything you need to know. 2. If you read the Rules, you'd know this, but the show has a SLIGHTLY different format (only 5 games, one Wheel spin, one Showcase) than the TV version and the prizes are not quite so luxurious as what you'd find on the TV show. Again, if you read the Rules you'd know this, but I figured I'd state it here just to be sure. 3. LINE UP EARLY! To have a chance to be a contestant, sign-ups start 3 hours before showtime until 15 minutes before the show begins. We arrived exactly when sign-ups were due to begin, and there were at least 300 people in line ahead of us. It was an hour and a half before we were through the line and registered, and the line was just as long then as it was when we got there. If you want to make sure you get a chance to play, get there nice and early! And with that out of the way... the review! I'm going to assume that you know at least some basic knowledge about the Price is Right (i.e. have watched the show before). With that said, onwards! The traveling version of the show we watched has 5 pricing games, one round of "The Big Wheel," and the Showcase round to end. "The Big Wheel" is played in-between the third and fourth pricing game, to emulate where it is played in the actual show. Each pricing game is preceded by an item up for bids, and every time they call down 4 new contestants. This means you get ONE chance up there... but you will get a nice T-shirt even if you don't win. The Big Wheel, unlike the TV show, calls up 3 more random contestants for a cash prize for coming closest to $1 without going over. Likewise, the Showcase is also 2 randomly chosen contestants... and they both bid on a single showcase. Like I said above, if you read the Rules, this will come as no surprise to you. The games they played were a nice "best of" selection... we had Punch-A-Bunch, Cliff Hangers, Any Number, Hole in One, and (of course) Plinko. In-between games, random audience members were awarded gift cards. In all, there were plenty of chances to win something that night! But how (you may ask) was the show... did it feel like the Price is Right? YES... a million times yes! This was the best episode of the Price is Right that I've watched/been a part of since the days of Bob Barker... Todd Newton and crew did an absolutely AMAZING job. It doesn't matter that we were rooting for someone to win $2,500 instead of $50,000... the money doesn't matter, it's still the Price is Right. They had that certain something... a kind of vibe that you can't really put into words. That night, for two hours, we weren't just in a crowded, stuffy auditorium... we were the audience of the one and only Price is Right. It's an experience I won't soon forget, and I urge any and everyone who would take the time to read through all this to take a chance and go see the show. You won't be disappointed. (Also, you can pay $20 after the show and get a T-shirt and go up and spin the Big Wheel. Can anyone say dream come true?)

Todd and Andy are the best!! SO MUCH FUN!!

by RadioShmadio on 3/31/15Eastlink Centre - Charlottetown

While I didn't get called to COME ON DOWN, it was such an outstanding night! It was just like really being there and Todd Newton was such an awesome host! Charismatic, funny, and just plain awesome! We love, love, loved Andy Martello too! The two of them together made such an awesome team!!! We wish we could go again! My hands hurt from clapping, my face hurts from smiling, and my belly hurts from laughing! I even got nervous every time they called more people up for their chance! Such a fun night! Thanks Todd & Andy!!!! A night we'll never forget!

Come on down!! a fantastic experience.

    by FanGirl3 on 3/27/15Entertainment - Dartmouth

Wow, what a fantastic, fun experience! Such a great tick off the bucket list for an awesome game show to tour around and come to your town for you to have such a wonderful experience. My most favorite game show since I was a child. It was nice to see how they brought people up for every round and in between also ensured that they gave out gift cards just so more people had an opportunity to receive a little something. A long, long wait but well worth it. The host, Todd Newton was funny and entertaining and more importantly he interacted really well with everyone in the place. The announcer Andy Martello was great at what he does, Had an opportunity to meet him prior to the show and he pumped me up for the show!! Not every day you get to hear your name being called up to contestants row, even if it was before the show started! He is a very kind and charming man. Great for any show! Would've like to have been able to buy (or win) a souvenir! Although, they gave opportunities to have your pic taken spinning the Big Wheel and a t-shirt for a small cost after the show which was great idea but unfortunately I couldn't wait any longer. Thanks for coming to Dartmouth! Ya'll come back now ya hear!

by AMoos on 3/16/15Jubilee Theater at Bally's - Las Vegas

What a great fun show. Took my family to see this even though they hadn't seen the tv version, and it had been years since I had. From the moment the announcer, a very talented Andy Martello, picks up his microphone until the Wheel has spun for the last time it was a blast.

    Great Show

by Hotarini on 3/4/15Lakeland Center - Youkey Theater - Lakeland

We were able to see the show in Lakeland in November 2013 and we had a great time. The show was fun to see and even though we didn't make it on stage we still felt the excitement when the contestants played each game. We are planning to see the show again when it visits St. Petersburg in a few months.

    by Showstopper2127 on 3/3/15Coronado Theater - Rockford

Had an absolute blast. The announcer, Andy Martello, was a hoot to watch. He really got the crowd going. And the games, all my favorites from years of watching the shows were there. My only bummer is that I didn't get called to "come on Down!" maybe next time. And I will definitely go again. Loved it!

    by redhead15 on 3/3/15Coronado Theater - Rockford

We laughed so much and had a great time!!! The show was a lot of fun with more "winners" than on t.v. The Announcer and Host were FANTASTIC... great working as a team. The Announcer has an amazing voice. They both got everyone involved in the show and just had us in stitches. I highly recommend seeing this show if you just want to go and have a fun night out. We would definitely go again and take more friends with us.

So much fun even without getting to play

    by Fozziebear1 on 3/3/15Corando Theater - Rockford

What a great time my family and I had. Get there early as the lines to register are huge. It was in many ways just like the TV show only better. Minor difference in the way people are picked, but it was great. I thought the prizes were really good considering their is no TV money to back it up. $5000 for Plinko, a stainless steel Fridge, several trips and a new car. Plus they had lots of little prizes for audience and contestants as well. People came in the shirts and costumes like on TV. Definitely do that if you can. The host MC and model have fun pointing them out and reading them to the crowd. That is where the real difference between the TV show and the live show is. The MC (Todd Newton) and announcer (Andy Martello) played off each other and the crowd wonderfully. Lots of audience participation and family fun between games that you don't see on the TV show. Throw in the lovely Ashlee and it was a great time for everyone. I would highly recommend this show to all who love the game and the causal fan as well.

Great show, but don't expect Hollywood

by Jimaferpalooza on 3/2/15Coronado Theatre - Rockford

We actually thought the show itself was very good. It started about 15 minutes late but lasted 1 hour and 45 minutes. The emcee and the announcer actually did a very good job but dragged things out a bit too long. Some of the games were Cliffhanger, Punch a Bunch, Plinko, Money Game, and Hole-in-One (or Two). They also have the Big Wheel for 3 contestants. This is not Hollywood and things were done a bit different. More contestants were called than normal to give more people a chance. (which meant you didn't stay on Contestants' Row longer than one turn, as other people were called). The cash prizes were lower as to be expected. Some of the gift prizes were Coach bags and sunglasses, TV/Entertaintment Center/PS4, a $12,000 car, SS refrigerator, trip to Hawaii, trip to Las Vegas, a guitar, Extra names were drawn for Subway and Target gift cards. A couple of people in the audience got t-shirts. One girl got $1.00 on the big wheel and won $100. But did not advance to the Showcase, as other contestants were called. The showcase consisted of 2 contestants and 1 grand prize (not 2 separate showcases). If they were closest without going over they won the camera. If they guessed within $1000 dollars without going over, they won the Hawaii trip and Vegas trip. It they guessed within $100 without going over, they won everything in the showcase including a $12,000 car. Both were way over. The worst part was the registration and lines to get in. Doors opened 3 hours before showtime. The lines were nearly 3 blocks long in 20 degree weather. Most waited in line a minimum of one hour even if you had tickets. Only later did they open a 2nd entrance but very little if any effort was made by the Theatre to keep the crowd informed, as the 2 lines were for 2 different reasons (no signs, no communication, nothing on website). Registration to "Come On Down" was open to everyone including those who walked in off the streets with no tickets. This was very disappointing since we paid for our tickets 3 months in advance. People walking in off the street had just as much chance to "Come On Down" as we did. The website said they would be put in a holding area and if their names were not called they were sent home. Some of our friends registered early, but then were told to leave the theatre and not come back until 1 hour before showtime. They were not allowed to stay at the bar. A lot of misinformation regarding registration and waiting in line. Employees could have done a better job of informing the people in line and the Theatre should have had better information on its website. It was an absolute madhouse. Very crowded at the doors and a lot of misinformation. While we thought the show was very good, we don't have to do it again. And the Coronado could have made the registration process much better through simple communication. But the actual show was very good, as long as you weren't expecting it to be exactly like Hollywood.

    A great time!

by managerzilla on 2/28/15Star Plaza Theatre - Merillville

My coworker and I took a little break from college in Chicago and road tripped to see this live in Indiana. I was worried with the terrible reviews it had been receiving, but I think they're just coming from sore losers. Marc Summers (of Double Dare and Unwrapped fame) was the host so that brought a bit of nostalgia, and the announcer was hilarious as well. The prizes aren't as big as the television show, but they ranged from 3D television, trips to Hawaii, and even a new car! You register beforehand (get there early, the line can get long), and then people from the audience are called up for each round. After each round there are also random giveaways to give more people chances to win. The audience is encouraged to cheer and yell along, and everyone seemed to be having fun.

    So much fun!!!

by MsTruffle on 2/28/15Carson Center - Paducah

I have seen this show twice now and I absolutely love it! The crowds are out of this world fun. People come dressed in home made T-shirts and just getting that name tag makes everyone happy and excited. When Andy Martello takes the stage and says "Come on Down!" people go nuts! The energy in this show is fantastic. I love how everyone gets a chance to win something. It's exciting waiting for Andy to call you name! Getting to see the games in person is very cool. They don't play every game from the original show, but they play the best ones, as far as I'm concerned. You can tell the cast is having as much fun as the audience. I really love this show and I will definitely see it again.

    Awesome TIme

by JillNiss on 2/25/15Stranahan Theater - Toledo

I was a little worried on how this would be going into it. I was worried about how to register, how the show would go, and if it would be legit. Needless to say, registration was a breeze, the show was amazing and so very similar to the real deal on TV! We walked away with a pretty cool prize even though we weren't called for Contestant's Row. Had we not even won anything, I would still have said it was an amazing experience just from the standpoint that you're cheering on and helping the contestants win, making you feel involved in the entire show. I would recommend this to anyone!! Thanks for the memories and great time!

The Price is Right Live was worth it!

by IowaTammy on 11/21/14Five Flags Center - Dubuque

First of all...after some of these reviews...I was wondering if it was even the same show. What a fun show! They kept it moving, the prizes were not cheap, but great, they did the show a little different so more people could get called up. So after they called up the contestants, the winner went on stage and the rest got shirts and sat back down. But this gave more an opportunity to play. They played some fun clips from past shows. Played the funniest games from TPIR Show....Plinko, Hole Punch, Himilaya Climber Guy, ...3 contestants got to spin the wheel...and two in the final showcase were picked. If you go in the future....BID LOWER THAN YOU WOULD THINK..... I did not get called, but we had a GREAT TIME! I would recommend it. I think if you did not have fun, you might be a little grumpy.......... Here in Iowa the show was fun.....worth the $60 ticket. It was also fun looking at all the shirts people made.........others made some hats...but in my opinion, people are trying to see...that is kind of disrespectful with these big clunkin hats...glad they were not in front of me. All in all...it was fun...and it's what you make it.... Happy Holidays !!!!! Smiles:)

    Entertaining Show

by DavenportGirl on 11/20/14Five Flags Center - Dubuque

I was very unsure what my experience would be when I read the reviews after I purchased our tickets. Some of these views make the live show sound horrendous. I was pleasantly surprised. First thing, this is NOT the show seen on TV. It's a live stage show not recorded to be televised and less extravagant winnings. Our event was hosted by Todd Newton(had to look him up# who did a decent job, not Bob Barker or Drew Carey, but did well at hosting. The show started about 10-15min late waiting for everyone to be seated. During our show they played a handful of games and called up 4 new contestants for each game to allow several people to be involved. New contestants were called up to spin the wheel and participate in the final showcase. In between games several $25 gift cards and t-shirts were given away at random. During the games we saw people win $750, $1400, $200, a flat screen, xbox 1, Madden 2015 and some other prizes. During the final showcase there was opportunities to win a trip to Hawaii#with stipulations, bid being within $100), a trip to Hollywood to attend a Price is Right taping, a Volkswagen Jetta, luggage set and so on. Unfortunately both contestants overbid and both were awarded $200 anyways. Overall I'd say 50 or so people were involved with playing games, random prizes or at least getting called to contestants row. If you go in, expecting it to be like the actual Price is Right and winning a car and a new dining room set, you'll be disappointed. If you go in with an appreciation for the show and the potential for winning small prizes and watching others excitement, you'll enjoy it. Our venue was filled with mostly older people but it is fun for all ages! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars because I had a hard time seeing with my floor seats and wish I was in the elevated seating. Plus who wouldn't enjoy seeing a couple more games played? I'd go again if given the chance!

    Was a joke!

by conjoy on 11/20/14Five Flags - Dubuque

Well this definitely is NOT worth the money you pay to attend. The show was supposed to start at 7:30 and didn't start until 8:00. It barely lasted one hour. I kinda feel like they make a mockery out of the Price is Right. I would definitely not go to this again. The show case was a HUGE joke! It had a three piece luggage set, camera, trip to Hawaii, a trip to Hollywood and a brand new Jetta and they say the value on it was $21,000. So, of course, both of the people playing for it over bid. Seriously??!! All of those things value way more than $21,000. As I said, I think they mock the game show. Love watching it on TV. Will stick to that, unless some day I get to head to LA and be on there live!
