About

The Pretty Reckless is fronted by singer Taylor Momsen, who was a child actor and model, including notable credits in "How The Grinch Stole Christmas" and "Gossip Girls." Momsen has always insisted that her first love was music, not acting, and, in 2009, Momsen shocked the world when she announced she would leave TV and film. The Pretty Reckless released their debut album, "Light Me Up" (No. 10; U.S. Alt Rock) in 2010 and quickly hit the road, becoming one of rock's busiest bands. The Pretty Reckless was part of the 2010 Warped Tour before headlining The Medicine and Light Me Up Tours respectively. The band is well regarded for its aggressive, live hard rock sound with a concert that often features Momsen singing while wearing dark outfits, heavy makeup and stripper boots. The band will continue to tour Europe extensively to promote their new release, "Going to Hell." Momsen is highly regarded for her talented voice on-stage yet isn't afraid to get dark with her lyrics. Tickets to the upcoming "Going To Hell" tour are expected to be a hot commodity as The Pretty Reckless have developed a strong and faithful following in Europe, despite being together for less than five years.

The band officially formed in 2009, but Momsen had been working on a rock project with Kato Khandwala, who would produce the group's debut album, since 2007. She has cited Joan Jett and Kurt Cobain as personal influences. "Light Me Up" was critically acclaimed and features the lead single, "Make Me Wanna Die" (No. 1 single; UK Rock), in addition to "My Medicine" and "Goin' Down." The band promoted the album heavily with nearly non-stop touring for four years, bringing venues like House of Blues (San Diego) to capacity, while working on a followup -- "Going to Hell." They are one of the more fiery bands when touring.

    The Pretty Reckless

by LJ on 9/12/22The Wiltern - Los Angeles

The Pretty Reckless and opening band, Ayron Jones, were GREAT! The Pretty Reckless drum solo was epic! I was disappointed in The Wiltern. It was sweltering hot in there. I know we've been in a heat wave but it was ridiculous inside!

The Pretty Reckless rocked. What a fabulous performance. The sound was clean clear and stupendous. The venue was clean and well organised. The band was the best, I love their music, they play excellent hard driving rock and roll music. I loved their performance.

    Teckless at best

by Sunny on 9/11/22House of Blues San Diego - San Diego

Aound at the HOB was mushy.Taylor can sing but she atill lacks polish. Her crowd interaction is immature. Her voice has matured and she will go far if she gets some proper backing..

    Great Experience

by CC on 9/11/22House of Blues San Diego - San Diego

We've seen a lot of shows at this venue and this one ranked right up at the top. Ayron Jones opened and really got the crowd going with their blues based rock, super tight band and would definitely go see them again. The Pretty Reckless far exceeded my expectations, the sound was amazing and the clarity of her voice was perfect. Spend a couple hours before the show at the bar during Happy Hour, super cool bartenders, the appetizers were great, with a more than adequate selection of beer.

Great small venue for great band

by MC on 9/11/22House of Blues San Diego - San Diego

The Pretty Reckless played an awesome set at The House of Blues. They seemed a little bit lower energy probably from a long tour, but we’re still awesome.

    Fun show

by Mudslinger on 9/6/22Moore Theatre - Seattle

I enjoyed The Pretty Reckless especially live. Very impressive show but I knew it would be. I was really impressed by the opening act Ayron Jones since I only knew one song prior. Really good singer, and an amazing guitarist. His band members kept the show fun. The Moore was a fun intimate venu too.

    Reckless in Seattle

by Tattooed Dragon on 9/6/22Moore Theatre - Seattle

The show opened with Ayron Jones, a local Seattle band. If you get the chance to see this band do it. They were awesome 😎. They put on a 45+ minute set that rocked the Moore theater. Ayron Jones could be a headliner for a concert tour they were that good. After that the Pretty Reckless took the stage and stole the night with high octane vocals and instrumentals. Everything I have come to love about the band was realized that night in their performance. If I have one complaint it is that their show was too short. I know they could put on a 2 hour show they have enough songs to do that so I was a bit bummed that they didn't . But it was a great show none the less. I can't wait to see them again.

    ☠️ Death ☠️ By Rock & Roll ☠️

by Robson on 9/5/22Moore Theatre - Seattle

This concert was everything. I only took one star because it was so hot in the theater I had to spend extra money on waters, ac would've been a good idea but had such an amazing experience overall.

2 thumbs up for the band. 1 thumb up for the venue

    by C. R. on 9/3/22Moore Theatre - Seattle

My son and I went to see The Pretty Reckless. Concerts are our thing and we have been to many different venues. This was at the Moore Theater in Seattle. When we took our seat, we were amazed how close we were. TPR comes out and starts playing. They did a great job of playing a balance of old and new songs. Too many artists just promote their latest release and forget that it was all the previous releases that drove people to the concert. The sound was solid but the lighting could have been so much better. Taylor was hardly ever in the spotlight. Then add on the temperature. Just standing there, we had sweat running down our backs. Without exaggeration, it was pushing 100. Stupid hot. All in all, a fun night. Not sure if I would go to a concert at that venue again

    Wow! So good! So hot!

    by K. B. on 8/6/22

Saw them last night in Phoenix, AZ. Taylor worked her ass off giving the crowd an AWESOME show. I’ve been to over a dozen concerts the last couple months and crowds are so lame but they totally STEPPED UP and brought it anyway and those of us rock who ROCK loud totally loved their efforts. The show was one of the best energies ever. Taylor Momsen is legendary!
