The Platters Tickets

We had a wonderful time at the Platters,Coasters, and Drifter's show at the Golden Nugget 3-9-19. Cornell Gunter's Coasters sang many of their greatest hits including " Poison Ivy" and my favorite "Zing Went The Strings of my Heart". They gave a first class performance with very rich harmony and clarity. Cornell Gunter is still belting out that marvelous bass melody. The tribute to the Drifters was also good. The four men doing the tribute had good voices and harmony. The Platters performance was excellent. They sang a mix of old Platters standards such as "Smoke gets in your eyes" and some modern melodys, some classical "Ava Maria", a musical tribute to our veterans and many other great songs. The Platters were simply outstanding. There is definitely a market for "Old School"music and I hope that more and more venues will be opened to quality groups keeping this wonderful, timeless music alive. We never get tired of hearing it and seeing it performed well.

Show was GREAT! Seats could have been even closer so we could sit on the next person instead of sitting halfway on the next seat. Very uncomfortable!!

The Platters were wonderful. Some of their selections blew me away. I hope this group continues to perform the classics as they evolve and expand their catalog. Unfortunately, the sound at the venue was not very good. At times it was difficult to understand when they spoke. Nevertheless, I’m sure glad I went.

This show is unbelievable! Brought back good memories of songs I know and love. But even if I didn’t know the songs the performers are awesome singers! Oh my! The voices are amazing and the energy in the show is high! Even the band was extraordinary . Would see again. Just go you won’t be disappointed.

Show was fabulous! Way more than we expected! Such great performers.

It was a gift for my mom for her birthday I thought it was horrible we didn’t even stay till the end the strobbing light were to much in our faces and the background music completely cancelled out the singers hanging with my mom awesome the show not to much

The Platters were fabulous The lead was as Good to better than the original voice of Williams. The drifters were unbelievable. The coasters who were the opening act need some improvement. Too much fooling with the audience and not enough singing. Do not miss this show

My husband and I truly enjoyed the show at the Tilles Center in Brookville, New York, the price was reasonable, the location was GREAT, the parking was adequate, I hope more similiar shows are brought to this location or other locations on Long Island. It sure beats going into NYC and paying a lot more when seniors are on fixed incomes and just want to go out and have a nice evening.

Better than i expected. I was pleasantly suprised.Would see it again.

We had such a wonderful time at this concert! It was truly special to see three different bands, all of whom complemented each other so well. I took my parents, and it was such a special experience to see them sing and talk about songs they had grown up with. My favorite moment was when my mom sang a song I had never heard before. I believe it was the song, “My Prayer,” by the Platters. I’m so glad I had this experience!

Fine performances by all.Brought back many good memories.Would have preferred that the groups stayed with their original hits a bit more.A dedication to another artist is fine,in moderation.

The actual show was great. Show started 1/2 hour late. Seats were horrible as they were dining room chairs that were butted against one another and not roomy enough to be comfortable for 2 1/2 - 3 hours.

Entertainment was great. Emcee should have gotten off stage after introductions. Seating was difficult.

The evening was EXCELLENT ! Each group put on an amazing performance. Their voices were strong, the music just as good as the original. We slipped back to that time so many years ago. My complaint? it didn't last long enough! Hopefully, they'll be back soon.

The Platters keep on reinventing themselves. Who would think that a group would continue to be a crowd pleaser after almost 60+ years. The newer members have carried on the group's popularity. The group performs both as a group and as solo performers. And they adapt to current events like the tributes to Aretha Franklin and the veterans. I expect they will be around for a long time to come.

Loved the energy and audience interaction with all three groups and of course of still love those 50's, and 60's songs. They had people singing along and dancing. All great singers.

The songs were carefully picked, the musician were excellent, their whole performance was great. BUT the theater was terrible, the seats were very small, no armrest and attached by a plastic tide, it was unbearable!! this is the second time I go to a concert in Golden Nugget this year and its always like that, everyone around me was complaining but I really hope they do something about it Other than that it was great!!! Please tell the administration about this issue, over 85% of the audience were senior citizens, handycapped, this is not right.Hope to see this issue corrected, I like the shows but the seatting need improvement, at least 4" in between. Brought back a lot of memories. Cudos to lead singer for being a first responder on 9/11 and serving in Iraq.

The Platters show was the best I have ever see. They kept everyone singing to all the songs. I highly recommend seeing their show.
