Would give the Coasters 1 or 2 stars max, would give the Drifters 3 stars and would give the Platters 5 stars. I am going to give the overall concert a 5. Without the Platters the concert would have been rated a 2 or 3 star max. Platters were really really good
Loved it. Our seats were in the back and it was still terrific. No bad seats at PV Concert Hall.
Excellent voices and showmanship with audience engagement.
It was a great show I would pay to see them again.
Everything from the entertainers to the security group , the bar tenders and food servers. Live the venue
They are very talented but did not connect with the audience as well as the Drifters & Coasters.
What a wonderful show. I surprised my mother, who loves the music from her teens and twenties. All three groups sounded exactly like the original bands did back in the day. I wish it was a little longer ,but it was fantastic just the same. The venue was beautiful. I would highly recommend this show to anyone that loves that era of music. I just wish my dad could have been with us, but I think he was in spirit.
Saw the Platters and the Coasters at the Clearwater Casino. First time at this establishment. Have been to most of the casinos in Washington. Consider this one to be the cleanest and best (so far). Casino was clean and the air, even in the smoking section, was good. Had a view room. The accommodations were excellent. The food was good and the drinks, especially during Happy Hour, were well worth the price. Truly enjoyed the Coasters as well as the Platters. Could have listed to both or either of them all night long. Sufficiently comfortable seating. Good sound quality. The groups were exquisite, each in their own way. Everyone in our group unanimously agreed, we'd go again, given the opportunity and location.
The lighting, setting just the whole program was a delight to attend.
It was more than we ever expected! A room full of people singing and dancing while listening to the songs from the 50’s! The Coaster’s and Platter’s were FANtastic with their vocal range singing sang their hit songs and other songs that we all knew and loved! The audience participation was total fun!! Thankyou Clearwater for a great concert presented in our very own county!
My husband rarely dances but the Platters were able to convince him to get on his feet and join the fun.
Wow! Absolutely delightful! Both groups were polished to perfection with world class talent . I'd go again today if they were performing anywhere nearby. Don' t miss them if you have the chance!
What a great show!!! Even though the faces and names have changed from the original group, the music, the sound, the voices still remain incredible!! I am so happy I was able to see them in Las Vegas for their 1st (and way too brief) appearance in many years. Hopefully, it won't be too long before they return!!
We truly enjoyed the selection of music The Platters chose for the night. We appreciated the respect and honor they attributed to the original group while showing their uniqueness as the new Platters. We really enjoyed the tribute The Platters gave to the men and women in the Armed Forced as well as to the artists/musicians we have passed. We highly recommend these talented artists!
OMG this was the best show ever - The Platters are so entertaining and boy they sure can sing and sing - I am so glad they came to Las Vegas - I wish they would come back more often, because I would love to see them again. If this show is ever near you, you must go, you will not be disappointed and will enjoy every minute of it. Thank you Platters for the memories - you rock!!
We attended the concert at the Grand in the Golden Nugget, Atlantic. We have been their before and didn't like the narrow, crowded and uncomfortable seats. However, The concert, itself, was fantastic. The Platters were great, their selection of songs could not have been better. Being a Vietnam veteran, I also appreciated very much their salute to veterans. I look forward to seeing more of their concerts in the future.
Their voices are still amazing. I wanted to get up dance in the aisles.
We had a wonderful time at the Platters,Coasters, and Drifter's show at the Golden Nugget 3-9-19. Cornell Gunter's Coasters sang many of their greatest hits including " Poison Ivy" and my favorite "Zing Went The Strings of my Heart". They gave a first class performance with very rich harmony and clarity. Cornell Gunter is still belting out that marvelous bass melody. The tribute to the Drifters was also good. The four men doing the tribute had good voices and harmony. The Platters performance was excellent. They sang a mix of old Platters standards such as "Smoke gets in your eyes" and some modern melodys, some classical "Ava Maria", a musical tribute to our veterans and many other great songs. The Platters were simply outstanding. There is definitely a market for "Old School"music and I hope that more and more venues will be opened to quality groups keeping this wonderful, timeless music alive. We never get tired of hearing it and seeing it performed well.
Show was GREAT! Seats could have been even closer so we could sit on the next person instead of sitting halfway on the next seat. Very uncomfortable!!
