About

The Offspring are a punk rock band from Garden Grove, California. Led by founding member, lead vocalist and guitarist Dexter Holland since 1986, The Offspring have released 11 studio albums and sold over 40 million records globally. The band’s self-titled debut arrived in 1989, followed by 1992’s Ignition and 1994’s Smash. Behind breakout Mainstream Rock Airplay singles “Come Out and Play,” “Self Esteem” and “Gotta Get Away,” Smash went on to sell over 11 million records, earn six RIAA platinum certifications and set the record for the highest-selling album released by an independent label. Ixnay on the Hombre in 1997 notched The Offspring’s first No. 1 single on the Mainstream Rock Airplay chart with “Gone Away,” while 1998’s Americana hit the band’s chart peak at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 on its way to netting five RIAA platinum certifications and three more Alternative Airplay Top 10 singles: “The Kids Aren’t Alright,” “Pretty Fly (For a White Guy)” and “Why Don’t You Get a Job?” The Offspring later topped the Alternative Airplay chart again with “Hit That” from 2003’s Splinter and “You're Gonna Go Far, Kid” from 2008’s Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace. The Offspring logged two more Mainstream Rock Airplay chart-toppers with “Coming for You” and the title track from 2021’s Let the Bad Times Roll. In 2024, The Offspring released their 12th album Supercharged

  • They've still got it!

by WEAPONZERO on 7/8/09Starland Ballroom - SayrevilleRating: 4 out of 5

I've been an Offspring fan since the early 90's, watching Taylor Steele videos with my cousin. Oddly enough, I'd never made it to a show, until now. The opening acts were terrible, but the Offspring, although getting older, maintained the power that their music has always possessed. The "intermission" was comical, and the piano variation of "Gone Away" was very cool(both unexpected). What was expected, was that they basically just played their hit singles from each album, and played nothing from the self-titled album or "Ignition", which was a major disappointment. Those two albums were better than their last few. Even still, they played great, and it was awesome to be able to see them at a smaller venue.

  • The Offspring was AWESOME!!!!!

  • Offspring was freakin great

by Daddyrotten on 7/8/09Starland Ballroom - SayrevilleRating: 5 out of 5

This was the first show for me to take my 13yr old daughter and 11 year old son. I had had them close to the stage and near the flow of the pit so they could get the full experience yet If things went bad I could get them to a safe place. Dexter and Noodles seemed liked they thrived on the Crew from NJ and for a bunch of 40 something rockers they kicked ass.

  • Offspring Amazed Last Night!

by JMiles on 7/8/09Starland Ballroom - SayrevilleRating: 5 out of 5

The show last night at Offspring was one of the best shows I have seen ever. They were incredible.

  • The Offspring concert was an adrenaline rush

by offspringrox on 7/8/09Constellation Brands Performing Arts Center - CMAC - CanandaiguaRating: 5 out of 5

So much fun, belted out 21 songs. Crowd was great. Everybody was screaming at the top of their lungs singing along. I'd go see them everyday if I was rich.

  • The Offspring were pretty much amazing...

by Sami on 7/8/09Starland Ballroom - SayrevilleRating: 4 out of 5

...however, if it had taken them any longer to get on stage I think there would have been a riot, and Frank Turner was definitely the wrong choice for an opening act. Does anyone know the name of that first band that played? I liked them.

  • High Energy

  • Offspring was amazing

by njbauter on 7/8/09Starland Ballroom - SayrevilleRating: 5 out of 5

This concert rocked one of the best I have ever been too. They blew out one of the speakers during the first few songs, but they got it fixed. They played all the old stuff and some of the new stuff and overall it was amazing and I wish they played 3 hours longer!! OFFSPRING ROCK HARD!!!!!!

  • The Offspring concert was terrific!

by fangirl on 7/8/09Starland Ballroom - SayrevilleRating: 5 out of 5

The warm-up acts were mediocre--the audience was so excited to see The Offspring, that neither warm-up could hold their attention. The Offspring were fantastic! They had tons of energy and really swept the crowd into the show. I had an excellent time.

  • offspring was fantastic!

  • THE OFFSPRING WAS AMAZING

by smurphyg on 7/8/09Starland Ballroom - SayrevilleRating: 5 out of 5

The wait till The Offspring actually got on stage was 3 hours from when they opened the doors, but the wait was well worth it. Non stop music for an hour, 15 songs played, great energy and stage presence. Awesome concert, definitely something to experience.

  • Pretty Fly for all white Guys!

by JohnOC on 7/8/09Starland Ballroom - SayrevilleRating: 5 out of 5

So I just saw The Offspring last night in Sayreville NJ. I've been there for many concerts but this one was the best. The first two openers (Milan and Frank Turner) were okay but The Offspring stole the show. Coming out to "Sh*t is F*cked up, the energy was great! Throughout the set they played timeless classics such as Pretty Fly, Come out and play, Gone Away and others. They even had an "intermission" where one of the roadies threw out 2 beach balls while another juggled 3 balls. It was hysterical and entertaining. Offspring closed the set with their famous "The Kids Aren't Alright". As soon as the song was over, they rushed off stage but the crowd wasn't satisfied. They came back out for their encore playing "Hammerhead" and then closing out the night with their first single ever, "Self Esteem". After the show, the roadies threw out setlists and Noodle's (guitarist) guitar picks. I caught one of the picks and that just capped off one amazing night. If you ever have the chance to see them, I STRONGLY RECOMMEND IT!!

  • offspring was kick ass

by puma on 7/8/09Starland Ballroom - SayrevilleRating: 5 out of 5

music was great good sound crowd really got into it, gets alittle hot in there tho should install some kind of mist system for the crowd we end up taking a nice beatin and dripping wet with sweat cant go to get a drink or u lose ur spot kinda sucks more air more water = $$

  • The Offspring rocked!

by Barbsage on 7/8/09Starland Ballroom - SayrevilleRating: 5 out of 5

The Offspring put on a great show. The band interacted with the audience well and they sounded fantastic! I'd have to say this is one of the few bands that actually sounds better "live" than on cd's. Everyone in the audience had a blast. The place was filled with positive energy. I'd definitely see these guys again.

  • Offspring never disappoints

by Noodles on 7/8/09Starland Ballroom - SayrevilleRating: 5 out of 5

Seen them a few times now and they definitely do not dissappoint. They rock hard from the minute they get on the stage until the last note of the night. Great show and I love that they played a club venue, such a different and more personal atmosphere then a stadium show which is why I enjoy club venues. My only gripe which is very small because I was just chilling by the bar with others anyway but the set change between the opening and Offspring took way too long in my opinion. But again that is only a minor thing. They friggin rocked!!!

  • JUST OK

by CAPTNBOOTY on 7/8/09Starland Ballroom - SayrevilleRating: 2 out of 5

starland is usually a great place to see a show but not last night. shortly after offspring got started there was a loud buzz coming from one of the speakers. it was so loud that you could hear it over the music even when they were playing at full volumn. i have been going to live shows my whole life and technical problems happen, no big deal. the problem last night is that they let it continue for 30-40minutes. for me my daughter and the people i was standing next to it pretty much ruined the show. i still love offspring and would go see them again and i still love starland and expect to back but last nite basically sucked.

  • Offspring awesome as expected

by PsychoL on 7/8/09Starland Ballroom - SayrevilleRating: 4 out of 5

Kick-ass show by Offspring. They are a five-star act. Four stars for the crap monitors at Starland that kept buzzing through their set and the REALLY unfortunate choice of an opening act. Felt sorry for the guy. Next time, don't book a sensitive Billy Bragg-type British guitar-playing singer-songwriter to open for America's best party band.

  • offspring rocked

by grappler on 7/8/09Starland Ballroom - SayrevilleRating: 5 out of 5

AWESOME SHOW, AWESOME SONGS, CROWD WAS GREAT, CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THEM AGAIN
