About

The Offspring are a punk rock band from Garden Grove, California. Led by founding member, lead vocalist and guitarist Dexter Holland since 1986, The Offspring have released 11 studio albums and sold over 40 million records globally. The band’s self-titled debut arrived in 1989, followed by 1992’s Ignition and 1994’s Smash. Behind breakout Mainstream Rock Airplay singles “Come Out and Play,” “Self Esteem” and “Gotta Get Away,” Smash went on to sell over 11 million records, earn six RIAA platinum certifications and set the record for the highest-selling album released by an independent label. Ixnay on the Hombre in 1997 notched The Offspring’s first No. 1 single on the Mainstream Rock Airplay chart with “Gone Away,” while 1998’s Americana hit the band’s chart peak at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 on its way to netting five RIAA platinum certifications and three more Alternative Airplay Top 10 singles: “The Kids Aren’t Alright,” “Pretty Fly (For a White Guy)” and “Why Don’t You Get a Job?” The Offspring later topped the Alternative Airplay chart again with “Hit That” from 2003’s Splinter and “You're Gonna Go Far, Kid” from 2008’s Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace. The Offspring logged two more Mainstream Rock Airplay chart-toppers with “Coming for You” and the title track from 2021’s Let the Bad Times Roll. In 2024, The Offspring released their 12th album Supercharged

  • awesome offspring

by amym on 7/12/09City Market - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5

FIrst of all, city market was the perfect place for a rock out concert. Plenty of room to move around and vendors to get eat and drink. Plenty of bathrooms too. Second, Offspring are great performers! They interacted with the crowd and played a great selection of songs. They are so much fun! Third, there was a great prodrome of cool bands before offspring to enjoy. The one thing I regret is that Offspring did not play nearly long enough! It seemed they had as much play time as the other bands. I definately could have gone for a little more Offspring! They rock!

  • The offspring put on an amazing show!!

by lilbritt on 7/12/09City Market - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5

It was incredible. The opening bands were good overall, but lacked sometimes, but the used and the offspring were absolutely amazing.

  • Show Me Showmanship!!

by stepheng on 7/12/09City Market - Kansas CityRating: 4 out of 5

Everyone knows Derek has some of the most amazing chords ever. He didn't disappoint live and was very impressive on some of his notes. but the bands showmanship was only mediocre. they basically just ran through their list with minimal talking here and there. I wish they would have tried connecting with the audience a bit more.

  • THE OFFSPRING will rock your face off!!!!

    by IKE711 on 7/12/09Tsongas Arena - LowellRating: 5 out of 5

The best concert of the summer, sum 41 was great and the Offspring was epic. Go see them in concert they play a lot of music and are amazing in concert.

  • Alkaline Trio was the best ones there

by skibafan on 7/12/09City Market - Kansas CityRating: 4 out of 5

Alkaline Trio was the best ones there. The Offspring were good. The Used just seemed the same as last time. Taking Back Sunday was good in there usual mic throwing show lol, just to many vocal effects. Anberlin was a joke. Well worth the money, I dont know about the 500 mile drive though.

  • Taking Back Sunday was Awesome!!!

by ponyboy on 7/12/09City Market - Kansas CityRating: 4 out of 5

The Used was great live as always, but Taking Back Sunday stole the show. First time to see them and they were awesome. Offspring was good as well. Highly recommend this show.

  • Offsprin, Taking Back Sunday and Anberlin rocked!

    by Katiem04 on 7/12/09City Market - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5

I give it a 8.5 out of 10. One of the bands was kind of boring and the location didn't have enough vendors. But all the other bands were awesome and The Offspring put on an unforgettable show!

  • great concert

    by lilmike08 on 7/12/09City Market - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5

this concert was amazing. All the bands were good. the venue was great to, good weather and good bands what more could you ask for?

  • Offspring was amazing

by Merickson on 7/12/09City Market - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5

When Dexter played Gone away on the piano, I was blown away. They played all of my favorite songs. I am so glad that I was there to see it.

  • Offspring = Worst Show of the Night

    by uph3aval on 7/12/09City Market - Kansas CityRating: 2 out of 5

The only reason why this show was mildly enjoyable was because Taking Back Sunday, Anberlin, The Alkaline Trio, and The Used all opened up for them. The Offspring themselves were lame, they had an incredibly short set list, and between every 2-3 songs they had to take a break. If you are that old then you shouldn't be playing at all.

  • The Offspring was awesome

by blackcat on 7/12/09Tyson Events Center/Gateway Arena - Sioux CityRating: 5 out of 5

They were great. Sounded just like their CDs only much louder and more intense. All the songs they did were well known by everyone and done with alot of fun. Would definitly recommend this concert.

  • The best concert i have been to.

by Costamerican on 7/12/09City Market - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5

This concert was by far one of the best ever. The line up was amazing and everybody played great. The Offspring was the best by far and they played with such energy that it reflected in through the audience. Amazing concert.

  • Kick Ass Show!!!!!

by KidsArentAlright on 7/12/09Tsongas Arena - LowellRating: 5 out of 5

The Offspring were better than I have ever seen them!! Dexter's voice is still awesome, and the unplugged version of "Gone Away" was amazing. I loved the idea of texting to pick a song, but disappointed that my song didn't win. It was apparent that there were more "newer" fans there when they picked "Walla walla" from Americana. I really wanted to her "Burn It Up" from Ignition because they don't play their early stuff nearly enough. As I predicted, they opened with "(Stuff is Messed Up)", I don't think I can post the real title, but you know what I mean. It was incredible, along with all the other songs. Disappointing as well was the fact that the arena was only slightly more than half full. I think the Offspring need a better Northeast promoter-- I am volunteering my services!! Kudos to the Tsongas Arena and Kim, the Assistant General Manager who went out of her way to personally accommodate my group because my daughter was in a wheelchair.

  • SICK!

by Americanaman on 7/12/09Tsongas Arena - LowellRating: 5 out of 5

The show was wicked good. Everyone was sick especially the offspring. Definitely say you should see them if you get the chance

  • Awesome

by Mone on 7/12/09Tsongas Arena - LowellRating: 5 out of 5

Had a great time! The show was awesome. Really would see them again and loved SUM41... SHUT UP DEREK lol...

  • Offspring rocked!

by squam on 7/12/09Tsongas Arena - LowellRating: 5 out of 5

The concert was awesome! Most of my favorite songs were played, and I loved being just a few feet from the stage! I wished that they had sung Original Prankster, but otherwise, the show was great! Sum 41 also put on a great show, and the arena was definitely high energy.

  • SUM 41

by joelleyyf on 7/11/09Tsongas Arena - LowellRating: 5 out of 5

sum 41 was so amazing live, ive been trying to see them for YEARS. and finally, it definitely met my expectations :)

  • The Offspring was Great, moshing sucks

    by tony3456 on 7/11/09Tsongas Arena - LowellRating: 4 out of 5

The bands were great, but all the moshers and crowd surfers took up a pretty large section. I wish bands didn't allow this, it ruins it for all the people who actually want to watch without having to worry about some out of control 20 something male slamming into you or dropping or diving on top of you.

  • Self-Esteem

by nbxbeanie on 7/11/09Tsongas Arena - LowellRating: 5 out of 5

This was the best concert out of 6 I have seen. I would see it again in a heart beat. OFFSPRING!!!! :D:D:D

  • OFFSPRING KILLED IT!!!
