The Offspring are a punk rock band from Garden Grove, California. Led by founding member, lead vocalist and guitarist Dexter Holland since 1986, The Offspring have released 11 studio albums and sold over 40 million records globally. The band’s self-titled debut arrived in 1989, followed by 1992’s Ignition and 1994’s Smash. Behind breakout Mainstream Rock Airplay singles “Come Out and Play,” “Self Esteem” and “Gotta Get Away,” Smash went on to sell over 11 million records, earn six RIAA platinum certifications and set the record for the highest-selling album released by an independent label. Ixnay on the Hombre in 1997 notched The Offspring’s first No. 1 single on the Mainstream Rock Airplay chart with “Gone Away,” while 1998’s Americana hit the band’s chart peak at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 on its way to netting five RIAA platinum certifications and three more Alternative Airplay Top 10 singles: “The Kids Aren’t Alright,” “Pretty Fly (For a White Guy)” and “Why Don’t You Get a Job?” The Offspring later topped the Alternative Airplay chart again with “Hit That” from 2003’s Splinter and “You're Gonna Go Far, Kid” from 2008’s Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace. The Offspring logged two more Mainstream Rock Airplay chart-toppers with “Coming for You” and the title track from 2021’s Let the Bad Times Roll. In 2024, The Offspring released their 12th album Supercharged.

Prob the best concert i've been to just an absolute party opening act was alright but Sum 41 and offspring tore the place down.... a Must see
Offspring was awesome. It was the first time I had been to their show and I can*t wait to go to another one!
First off...where the hell were all the people? I thought The Offsring had a wider popularity than I saw. We saw the show at the Tsongas Arenas in Lowell, MA, and there were seriously 50% of the GA seats still available. That aside, the whole show; from the pre-opener (Frank Turner), to Sum 41, and especially Offspring, was awesome. I love when a live show sounds enough like the CD to be comforatable, but different enough to make the live show a unique experience. Offspring played all of the favs, and mixed it up enough between old and new to keep it interesting. All-in-all, I would definately recomend this entire line-up.
This concert was so good! It was crazy! Sum 41 had awesome stage presence and the offspring sang so many songs. the opening act was pretty good but an odd choice. The fans for going wild and it was a kiler mosh pit. It was an unforgettable show!
this was my first show and it was absolutely sweet!!!!!!!!!!!!!! check it!!
Let me tell you, i have been a huge offspring fan since i was around 10 years old, and i finally had the chance to see them 12 years later. They totally still have all the energy of their younger years and they can preform amazingly. The played all their hits as well as some songs that only true fans would recognize. They finished, and we cheered for like 10 minutes and they returned and played 3 more songs. It was the best concert i have ever seen and i anxiously await their return to Massachusetts so i can see them again!
It was a great show. Sum 41 and the offspring were really good.
Frank Turner was a good opener, but it would have been cool if he had a band supporting him. Having said that I thought it was kinda cool that there was an acoustic opening act. I like Sum 41's music but their show wasn't very good. The lead singer spent too much time talking and showing off. He spent too much time trying to get the crowd to do things. If he hadn't done this then they could have played a few more songs. Also, their set wasn't that good. They only played a few songs and didn't stretch into some of their albums. On to The Offspring: They've been my favorite band since middle school. They put on a great performance, and put a lot of energy into their show. The only thing I was disappointed with, was the fact that they didn't play anything off of half their albums. They were amazing!
Tsongas arena lowell, ma 7/10/09. Offspring came out and didn't fool around, hit song after hit song. I wish Gone away was done normally and not on the piano. Awesome concert
The Offspring were truly great. They played an awesome mix of old and new hits. Dexter's piano version of "Gone Away" was well done. The sound was mixed well, all the instruments and vocals were perfect. Nothing was over-the-top or over done. These guys just played their music and did it well. Sum 41 was not even close to them, they were the low point of the show. They tried to play too loud, too fast and were very sloppy. The singer cursed far too much for my liking, and tried incessenantly to hype up the crowd. He was jumping around the stage and standing on speakers all the time in a very tacky way. Maybe he was trying to hide his bands below par musical ability. The Offspring were very much worth it, but don't waste your time with Sum 41.
Well.. I only watched Sum 41.. I like the Offspring somwhat but their fan base that was at this show made me feel like I was at a pep rally... I had to get out of there. I think they should scrap the opening act (I forgot his name) and let Sum 41 play for another half hour. By getting shorter time slots, Sum 41 stick to the harder-faster stuff from their catalog skipping some really great slower songs. This should be a double-headliner tour and each band should get the same length of time to play. Also, why was it in Lowell? They could have done it at Boston University's Agganis Arena, they are almost exaclty the same AND it is in Boston. Overall, Sum 41 were incredible but with the limited time, Deryk could have shut up a little bit and squeezed a couple more songs in. They're still one of the best band's ever.
Overall, the concert was great. The two opening bands were good. I think I would have liked the show better if it were held in a bigger venue. Starland was a little too small for this type of concert, however, the bands were awesome.
One of the best concerts that I have been to in a while, the only thing that topped this was project revolution last year. Tsongas arena is a great venue, and easy to find.
So I have no problem with The Offspring or Sum 41 their performance was phenominal. However the crowd was awful, the pushing and moshing I'm used to but this must have been a lot of people's first concert. They didn't pick people up who fell down in the pit, people far too large to crowd surf where launching themselves off of me without asking for my permission. So often that I actually hurt my shoulder. While these aren't really issues of Offspring or the Tsongas arena I felt I needed to vent these issues.
The Offspring was Incredable, sum41 was awfull. Drop them
This show was sick! My little brother and I attended and this was his first rock concert. We have both been huge fans of Sum 41 and The Offspring for a long time so it was great to see them locally. I had seen The Offspring once before at WBCN's 2004 Riverrave and they were great then too. I was pumped to hear some of the songs off their latest album, and thank God we got to hear Hammerhead in the encore! I only wish they had stayed on for longer.
honestly one of the best concerts i have been to in my life.there was amazing energy in the crowd and from the bands as well. if i can see either band again i will.
The show was sickkkkkkkk! Sum 41 was energetic and played all their good shit, and the Offspring are still as good as they've ever been. kick ass show.
Fairly simple stage show, but awesome. Lots of good music, offspring played and played and the pit rocked! tons of crowd surfing, moshing, jumping, and good music! I felt like it was 1998 again!! haha sum41 was good. Derek talked a little bit too much and i think he needs to get laid, but good music!
I have all of their CDs and have been listening to them since they started getting really popular in the early 90's. They played most of their hit singles and came out for at least 3 or 4 encore songs. Sum41 was great also, but I was kind of bummed they didn't play "No Brains" which is their biggest single that I remember. The lame part was that acoustic dude who sounded kinda like the lead singer from Dropkick Murphys. All he did was strum the same chords over and over and sing about how cool it is to be an angsty teen who's into punk rock. Ugh. The Offspring still sounds as good as they ever did. It's great seeing a band with such a huge collection of recognizable hits over a newer band with only one or two cds that play a bunch of tracks nobody listens too unless they bought the album. This was a fantastic concert full of hit singles that was performed really well for an older band. Awesome show!
