About

The Offspring are a punk rock band from Garden Grove, California. Led by founding member, lead vocalist and guitarist Dexter Holland since 1986, The Offspring have released 11 studio albums and sold over 40 million records globally. The band’s self-titled debut arrived in 1989, followed by 1992’s Ignition and 1994’s Smash. Behind breakout Mainstream Rock Airplay singles “Come Out and Play,” “Self Esteem” and “Gotta Get Away,” Smash went on to sell over 11 million records, earn six RIAA platinum certifications and set the record for the highest-selling album released by an independent label. Ixnay on the Hombre in 1997 notched The Offspring’s first No. 1 single on the Mainstream Rock Airplay chart with “Gone Away,” while 1998’s Americana hit the band’s chart peak at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 on its way to netting five RIAA platinum certifications and three more Alternative Airplay Top 10 singles: “The Kids Aren’t Alright,” “Pretty Fly (For a White Guy)” and “Why Don’t You Get a Job?” The Offspring later topped the Alternative Airplay chart again with “Hit That” from 2003’s Splinter and “You're Gonna Go Far, Kid” from 2008’s Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace. The Offspring logged two more Mainstream Rock Airplay chart-toppers with “Coming for You” and the title track from 2021’s Let the Bad Times Roll. In 2024, The Offspring released their 12th album Supercharged

  • Taking Back Sunday stole the show!!!!

    by Zach565Hill on 7/12/09City Market - Kansas CityRating: 4 out of 5

Don't get me wrong Anberlin and the Used were awesome! And the offspring was pretty good. Uh Alkaline trio, eh... But taking back Sunday stole the show. No question. Adam lavert's mic swings, so high they were nearly tangled up in the lights and catches that surely would've broken the mic had it not been caught in his fine trained hands are something so unique and really spice up the performance, I mean everytime he threw it I was thinking, what if he drops it?!? No other bands do that, nor do they scale the stage and hang upside down close to 50 feet in the air with no support singing one of the best rock songs of 2006, now do they? I came to the show psyched for Anberlin, but Taking back Sunday won me over, doubtless.

  • Offspring Live... Great Show!!!

by Joshuab on 7/12/09City Market - Kansas CityRating: 4 out of 5

Overall i would say Offspring live was great! They didn't play a bunch of new songs from new albums like most bands do when they are have been around a while and found a new young scene of listeners. Offspring picked great songs to play and was not one of those bands who played every hit song they ever had! Great show...

  • the offspring rock

by gottalovethemusic on 7/12/09City Market - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5

This was by far the best show i have been too in many years all the bands were great and The Offspring was the best way to end an amazing show!!!!

  • Awesome Concert

by Chipmunk on 7/12/09City Market - Kansas CityRating: 4 out of 5

The offspring was really good live. i have seen them before at another event, but they are even better headlining. Loved how they did a mix of there older stuff and not too much of there new CD (its good don't get me wrong), just a fan of there older CD's is all. Overall a great experience, liked how the city market was setup, never been to that venue. recommend this concert to anyone that likes offspring or just a fan of music in general. See you guys next time your in town in KCK!!

  • The Offspring put on an amazing show!

by Xila on 7/12/09City Market - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5

I haven't been to many shows, that much is said. That aside, this was one of the greatest concerts ever!

  • Offspring brings what the fans want

by HippyJoeCool on 7/12/09Nokia Theatre At Grand Prairie - Grand PrairieRating: 4 out of 5

The opening bands werent too exciting so I was kinda scared that the Offspring wouldn't be that good, but I was wrong. They played all the best songs and a lot of songs from Americana and good amount of songs from other albums. I wish they would have played a couple more songs from Smash though.

  • The Offspring and Alkaline Trio rock. The rest?...

by Cosmopalooza on 7/12/09City Market - Kansas CityRating: 4 out of 5

The show began with a stumble as Anberlin sounded just terrible. Bad sound and bad songs. Alkaline Trio were next. They played a great set of punk rock inspired music. The only drawback was the short amount of time they were allowed to play. I would have loved to see them play more than 35 minutes. Prior to the headliners, The Offspring, we were forced to suffer through boring, unoriginal sets from Taking Back Sunday and The Used. Nothing wrong with their performances, just...? Meh... The Offspring delivered the set I was hoping for. I had never seen them perform before and was hoping for a 'greatest hits' show. Which is exactly what they did. They sounded great.

  • The Motherlicking Offspring!

by punkity on 7/12/09City Market - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5

This was probably the most amazing concert I will ever have gone to. The bands were incredible. I went to see The Used, Taking Back Sunday, and The Offspring, but found that I really enjoyed Anberlin as well. The venue was perfect and I was able to get on Barricade. The sound beat most indoor venues. It was rough and hot up front, but absolutely unbeatable. The Used were great and I am really looking forward to their new cd. They played stuff off their first three albums, including Box of Sharp Objects and Pretty Handsome Awkward. They played a new song off it. (plus Quinn was pretty cool when I met him after.) The crowd was really crazy and into them. Kids were dropping in the pit left and right. Taking Back Sunday I've seen three times and they just keep getting better. There was an amazing energy onstage. Rubano bassed around the stage like a cyclone of Rock. Adam came out and started with some oddness no doubt inspired by their then current touring partners Envy on the Coast's Ryan Hunter. My favorite part- other than singing along to all my favorite songs- was when Adam climbed the lights and swung from the catwalk. I got to meet all of them, except Mark, afterwards and as always, they were great. Fazzi and his friend Isaac- who played back up guitar that night- remembered me from when I met them earlier. They were all great to hang out with after. This was the first time I'd ever seen The Offspring live and they completely killed it. It was fun and the crowd was totally into it. The lead singer had an awesome way of engaging the audience. They played all the old favorites, like "Pretty Fly" and "Come Out and Play" plus some new songs.

  • Buzz Under the Stars 2009 Night One

by VICKITORIA on 7/12/09City Market - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5

SO Buzz Under the Stars 2009 Night One I saw Anberlin, Alkaline Trio, The Used, Taking Back Sunday, and the Offspring, all for less than $40. I kicked ass and TBS and the Offspring's sets were the best. Although Offspring was headliner, TBS stole the show in someways. Offspring got it back though when they performed--their set included everything from the classics to their new hits and Dexter even jammed on the piano for a badass version of "Gone Away." Overall, it was a very memorable show. ohh yeahhhh

  • Offspring, SUm 41 concert

by SirPrometheus on 7/12/09Tsongas Arena - LowellRating: 3 out of 5

The young folk singer at the beginning had no business opening for this kind of concert. He was actually pretty good, it's just his music was in no way in tune with other two bands. Both Sum 41 and The Offspring performed well, but some of the sound engineering was pretty bad, leading certain instruments and tones to sound weird. There was also absolutely no cause for an hour long wait between Sum 41 and The Offspring. Everyone was packed in and miserable, it was really retarded.

  • Offspring rocked the house!

by InstantClassic on 7/12/09Nokia Theatre At Grand Prairie - Grand PrairieRating: 5 out of 5

Seeing The Offspring at Nokia was an amazing experience. It was very cool to see a band that has been around as long as they have still playing all the great songs like never before. I had pit tickets so it was a really good time being up close and hearing many of my favorite tunes including Self Esteem, Gone Away, and Come Out & Play. Was much fun jumping up and down, screaming the songs and people crowd surfing all over the place!

  • the offspring rocked!

    by Russell09 on 7/12/09City Market - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5

i had fun i went mainly for the used then i found out anberlin and TBS were gonna be there and wow.. those are a few of my favorite bands.. it rocked

  • it was awsome!!!!!!!!!!!!

by mikelon on 7/12/09Tyson Events Center/Gateway Arena - Sioux CityRating: 5 out of 5

the concert was full of energy, they really know how to play with lots of energy

  • Offspring was off the hook

    by Cupcake77 on 7/12/09City Market - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5

The whole concert was amazing. The energy was so hype. Not since I have seen Flogging Molly has there been a better concert.

  • worst offsrpring show ever

    by amberleanne77 on 7/12/09City Market - Kansas CityRating: 1 out of 5

Too many bands therefore Offspring didn't play nearly long enough. Seen em every time they've come through KC and this show was hands down the shortest and lousiest show ever. Very disappointed. Waste of money. So sad.

  • AWESOME concert!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

by EllaW on 7/12/09Tyson Events Center/Gateway Arena - Sioux CityRating: 5 out of 5

WOW I am not sure what words would describe this concert besides, amazing, exciting, awesome, the best! I have seen a lot of bands in concert, but these guys kept things moving along well, the music was amazing, they intereacted with the audience, what more can a fan ask? I have liked these guys since the 90's and am so happy they decided to tour after years being off the road. They still have it after all these years! Well worth seeing if you are lucky enough.

  • Amazing!

by UsedLvr on 7/12/09City Market - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5

The show was unforgettably amazing! Offspring was great, I'd recommend anyone to see them. The Used was fantastic, although their set could have been a bit longer.

  • Offspring Rocked

by Laiheniel on 7/12/09City Market - Kansas CityRating: 4 out of 5

I had some slight doubts but the Offspring layed them all to rest. It was a great show and I liked the venue. It was open and inviting. The Offspring put on a great performance, full of everything that makes live shows great.

  • I liked Taking Back Sunday

    by NwSuz1214 on 7/12/09City Market - Kansas CityRating: 4 out of 5

I was a little disappointed with the Offspring's performance only because they didn't seem to have as much enthusiasm for their performance as Taking Back Sunday. The other two bands at this show were mediocre at best, but Taking Back Sunday was much better. I am an Offspring fan and have seen them perform before with more excitement and guts. They did a great job of making sure they played all the fan favorites.

  • Flat out Amazing!

by Candicole on 7/12/09City Market - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5

Loved the Venue, Love ALL the Bands, It was definitely a once in a lifetime event!
