About

The Offspring are a punk rock band from Garden Grove, California. Led by founding member, lead vocalist and guitarist Dexter Holland since 1986, The Offspring have released 11 studio albums and sold over 40 million records globally. The band’s self-titled debut arrived in 1989, followed by 1992’s Ignition and 1994’s Smash. Behind breakout Mainstream Rock Airplay singles “Come Out and Play,” “Self Esteem” and “Gotta Get Away,” Smash went on to sell over 11 million records, earn six RIAA platinum certifications and set the record for the highest-selling album released by an independent label. Ixnay on the Hombre in 1997 notched The Offspring’s first No. 1 single on the Mainstream Rock Airplay chart with “Gone Away,” while 1998’s Americana hit the band’s chart peak at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 on its way to netting five RIAA platinum certifications and three more Alternative Airplay Top 10 singles: “The Kids Aren’t Alright,” “Pretty Fly (For a White Guy)” and “Why Don’t You Get a Job?” The Offspring later topped the Alternative Airplay chart again with “Hit That” from 2003’s Splinter and “You're Gonna Go Far, Kid” from 2008’s Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace. The Offspring logged two more Mainstream Rock Airplay chart-toppers with “Coming for You” and the title track from 2021’s Let the Bad Times Roll. In 2024, The Offspring released their 12th album Supercharged

  • Loved it!

by CassKay on 7/13/09City Market - Kansas CityRating: 4 out of 5

Offspring played as a part of Buzz Under The Stars concert series. I loved the idea of the summer series and Offspring certainly didn't disappoint. Had a great time, loved all the bands - good mix. Nice venue. Parking was crazy, but that's to be expected. Had a great time.

  • Offspring gives you your money's worth

by dagriff on 7/13/09Nokia Theatre At Grand Prairie - Grand PrairieRating: 4 out of 5

This was the second time I have seen them. I was a little spoiled because the first time was in a very tight venue and I was basically on the stage the entire show. However, this venue is a great alternative with exceptional sound and great views from everywhere. I thought they sounded on point and the set list lasted almost two hours. I was really pissed off that they did not perform "Original Prankster" and that they dumbed down "Gone Away" into a solo acoustical version. However, the energy and overall experience of the concert was definitely worth it.

  • the offspring was amazing live!

I loved all the bands at this concert... the used, taking back sunday, anberlin, and most important the offspring. The offspring was amazing live like i never have heard before i would totally recommend to all my friends!

Really really great show. Both bands got the whole arena jumping and pumping their fists.

  • Great Show

by hrdendinge on 7/13/09Tyson Events Center/Gateway Arena - Sioux CityRating: 5 out of 5

My husband has been an Offspring fan since the beginning of time. He had a great time at the show and screamed every word to every song! There was a TON of energy at the show. We didn't especially care for the opening acts, but The Offspring ROCKED!!!

  • The Offspring Rock

by CTOldTimeRocker on 7/13/09Tsongas Arena - LowellRating: 5 out of 5

This was the third time I have seen The Offspring and they get better every time. I go to a lot of Metal and Hard Rock shows, but nothing beats a good old Punk show. Dexter has so much energy. He totally rocked the Tsongas Arena. The show was well worth the two hour drive from CT. Sum 41 suprised me by how hard they rocked. It was a great show from start to finish.

  • Amazing!

    by Madroxx84 on 7/13/09Tsongas Arena - LowellRating: 5 out of 5

The Offspring was one of the best bands I've sen play live in a long time. They sounded like you put the CD into the player. The crowd was riled up and was very into the music. I would see them again in a heartbeat.

  • Good times!

by Vron on 7/13/09Tyson Events Center/Gateway Arena - Sioux CityRating: 4 out of 5

The concert was lots of fun. The Offspring did an awesome job of playing some of their new songs as well as all of their known favorites. They even played an acoustic version of Gone Away. It was a really good time. If you like moshing, there was a lot of that going on. I think the moshing takes away from the music, but thats just me. All in all, it was good.

  • Buzz Under The Stars 1 Kick Butt

by AndieZ on 7/12/09City Market - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5

(I should mention that i have seen every band except offspring at least once before)I was slightly dissappointed in Anberlin, not their best preformance, and the fans that only new feel good drag, tisk on you they have so many other great songs. Alkiline trio was also dissappointing, not ment for that type of venue. the used were amazing, they really kicked up the energy. Taking Back Sunday was amazing, they had so much energy and really was the second best band there. The Offspring was amazing, 1st time seeing them and they rocked it out. loved that it was theartical, it only drew you in more, and any band that pulls out a piano (a real piano) always has a thumbs up vote to me.

  • The Offspring were amazing!!

All bands rocked! I really enjoyed myself all throughout the night. I love Anberlin, Taking Back Sunday, and The Offspring but Alkaline Trio was also really good. It was my first time seeing all of these bands and I must say I will be seeing them again if they ever come back.

  • Buzz under the Stars is a fantastic event!

    by renees2dogs on 7/12/09City Market - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5

I didn't go for The Offspring. I went for the four other bands performing that night. Those bands were Anberlin, Taking Back Sunday, The Used and Alkaline Trio. Those bands rocked it! The Offspring were ok, but I'm not a big fan. I hope to see Taking Back Sunday again later this summer. They were fantastic!

  • The Offspring was ROCKIN!!!!!

by Thesnake08 on 7/12/09Nokia Theatre At Grand Prairie - Grand PrairieRating: 5 out of 5

I have seen The Offspring in a few venues, but the last time I saw them at Nokia in Grand Prarie Texas and it was the Bomb diddy Bomb. They are still rockin and their punk style is still the most amazing experience. This was my sons first time to see a punk show and he loved it. The energy at the concert was great and the people were awsome. I hope they come back to Texas my family and I will be the first ones in line for tickets. Thanks for a great and ROCKIN time!!!!

  • The Used was awesome!!!

by greendb on 7/12/09Tyson Events Center/Gateway Arena - Sioux CityRating: 5 out of 5

Everything was perfect. The sound was good for a small venue, loads of energy on stage, talking to the crowd a lot and the light show was amazing!

This concert was awesome. Both of the bands sounded great. I'm so glad I didn't miss that concert!

  • Great lineup of bands with an unforgettable finale

    by cdl676 on 7/12/09City Market - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5

When me and my buddy found out that our most favorite bands in the world got together for the Buzz under the stars we knew this was going to be one of the biggest concerts we've ever been too. Not only did the four bands before the Offspring meet our expectations they exceeded them with flying colors. As for The Offspring, they were the veterans and they showed it. They were there for their fans and made it seem as though they were putting on their last show and wanted it to be the best they've ever done. Nothing about any of their songs (some being older than some of the kids at the concert) seemed routine. I was impressed and fortunate to have been there
