About

The Offspring are a punk rock band from Garden Grove, California. Led by founding member, lead vocalist and guitarist Dexter Holland since 1986, The Offspring have released 11 studio albums and sold over 40 million records globally. The band’s self-titled debut arrived in 1989, followed by 1992’s Ignition and 1994’s Smash. Behind breakout Mainstream Rock Airplay singles “Come Out and Play,” “Self Esteem” and “Gotta Get Away,” Smash went on to sell over 11 million records, earn six RIAA platinum certifications and set the record for the highest-selling album released by an independent label. Ixnay on the Hombre in 1997 notched The Offspring’s first No. 1 single on the Mainstream Rock Airplay chart with “Gone Away,” while 1998’s Americana hit the band’s chart peak at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 on its way to netting five RIAA platinum certifications and three more Alternative Airplay Top 10 singles: “The Kids Aren’t Alright,” “Pretty Fly (For a White Guy)” and “Why Don’t You Get a Job?” The Offspring later topped the Alternative Airplay chart again with “Hit That” from 2003’s Splinter and “You're Gonna Go Far, Kid” from 2008’s Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace. The Offspring logged two more Mainstream Rock Airplay chart-toppers with “Coming for You” and the title track from 2021’s Let the Bad Times Roll. In 2024, The Offspring released their 12th album Supercharged

  • Great show but highly disappointed

by Me on 8/19/25Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre - Tinley ParkRating: 5 out of 5

Jimmy eat world and the offspring put on a great show, however, I was extremely disappointed and heartbroken that New Found glory didnt play. No one can predict the weather, but a 2 hr delay was a bit much esp when it was still lightning when the doors did open. I wish new found glory was able to play at least a few songs. A lot of people came out to see them. It was still a great show and I am happy we waited and were able to see them perform.

  • Almost rained out.....

by HVA on 8/19/25Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre - Tinley ParkRating: 2 out of 5

Because there was lightening in the area, the show was postponed 2 hours. Doors were supposed to be at 5:30, did open til 9. Then before we can get inside, one of the bands starts playing. So kind of a bummer to miss that. It seemed like a cash grab at that point. Just cancel the show so we can get our money back. What about all the people who had already left?! Obviously The Offspring was great, but would have been better with a full set.

by Char on 8/19/25Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre - Tinley ParkRating: 4 out of 5

Show was good once we were to get in to the venue after 2 hour rain delay

  • Bad decision making

by Kelsey on 8/19/25Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre - Tinley ParkRating: 1 out of 5

I understand weather is unpredictable but the forecast had not changed when the gates were opened after 3 hours. There was still lightning in the area and not projected to go away which is what led us to leave after waiting it out for 3 hours. It was disrespectful to make that decision with no changes in the forecast and for the bands to start while fans were still entering. Most fans missed part of or the whole show because of this poor decision making. It gave my daughter a horrible first impression of what live music should be.

  • Horrible

by Nic on 8/19/25Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre - Tinley ParkRating: 1 out of 5

The Credit Union 1 Amp had delayed entry all evening due to lightning and even sent out a message stating lightning had to be clear within 8 miles for the show to happen. Until 9 p.m. when the storm and lightning was at its worst and the show was magically ok to happen. One band was cut, and the other opener, Jimmy Eat World, started playing immediately when doors opened playing maybe 4 songs, but people were still way outside in line to even see them. The Offspring came on, played a shortened set, most of which was covers, not their own music. Completely disappointed and did not experience what I paid for at all. Hard to say I'll ever go back to Credit Union 1 Amp or see the Offspring after both of their poor decisions.

  • Wished we actually saw the concert..

by Bubs on 8/19/25Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre - Tinley ParkRating: 1 out of 5

Credit Union 1 refused to open the doors for two hours past the start time due to lightning being within 8 miles. They opened the gates at 8:58 just so they didn’t have to issue refunds even though there was still lightning that was too close by their safety protocol. They risked the lives of concertgoers to save a dime and I wasted my hard earned money trying to go to this venue.

  • What a joke

by Mike on 8/19/25Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre - Tinley ParkRating: 1 out of 5

The only reason there was a show is because they didn't want to hand out refunds. Show delayed over 2 hours. First opener cut. 2nd opener and main both abbreviated sets. Very little communication all we were told is it was delayed for lightning which I get. But if the show was delayed for lightning why was it ok to perform with lighting still visible during the concert and lightning tracker showing some of it was within their 8mi guidelines. Show only went on to save cash. Having said that the bands did their best under the circumstances to put on a good show but it did seem rushed to get as much in as they could.

  • 3/5 at best

by Roman on 8/19/25Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre - Tinley ParkRating: 3 out of 5

Well, show was constantly being postponed due to weather. Venue didn`t allow people in, we had to wait in our cars or parking lot (cause that it safer way to hide from lighting...) Organizer keep us updated via text/social media (this was okay). Gates were opened at 8:58pm. It took some time to get all people in (who decided to stay and wait). The biggest downfall was shortened set list. Only 1 hour compared to 1.5hrs in other places. Only 1 opening act band (again, very short setlist) just for the time to get people in.

  • Disappointed how this was handled

by Bloodparrot on 8/19/25Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre - Tinley ParkRating: 1 out of 5

Completely disheartened on how the venue handled this concert. There was a delay due to lightening weather, which is completely understandable. What I dont understand is how the venue delayed opening the gates for 2 hours AFTER the show was supposed to start at 7pm, started letting everyone in with lines still flooding the entrances at 930pm and expect to continue a show with 3 acts when there is a known noise ordinance in place at 11pm. It was still lightening and raining MOMENTS BEFORE they announced the gates opening. I know its all about making money for these places, but after a 2 hour lightening and rain delay, dont you think the show should be rescheduled/canceled?? People are already losing out on the value of what they actually paid for, and you let them in when there is still active lightening happening in the area?? Ridiculous.

  • Great time, in a no win situation

by Easy on 8/19/25Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre - Tinley ParkRating: 4 out of 5

The lightning made it a no win situation, personally I’m glad the show went on, I wish Jimmy eat world would of played less songs to give The Offspring more time, also wish The Offspring would have skipped the cover songs to play more of their songs on a shortened set list, Everyone did the best they could and we still had a rock show!

  • Disappointed with the venue...

by Cw on 8/19/25Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre - Tinley ParkRating: 1 out of 5

I have been waiting for 3 years to see the offspring... it was all but rained out. Didn't get to see the show. Venue waited until 8:56 to open the doors and by then we had already for home instead of being left in the rain and lightning. Others that stuck it out said they got half a show because they had to be done by 11 pm. Super sad and disappointed.

  • Offspring/Rain

by TW on 8/19/25Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre - Tinley ParkRating: 4 out of 5

Offspring put on real good show once they took the stage. Waited 21/2 hrs to get in,everyone was cool to each other while we did. So that was good. Disappointed New Found Glory didn't play, really was looking forward to seeing them. Overall it was an experience.

  • Great due to circumstances

by Racho on 8/19/25Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre - Tinley ParkRating: 5 out of 5

The show was really great & the offspring did great. Our show was started really late to due to a lighting warning but thats out of anyone's control. The performance was amazing and everything i expected

  • Long wait!

by AJ on 8/19/25Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre - Tinley ParkRating: 4 out of 5

The only reason there are four stars is the Offspring. It would be more but the venue brought them down. Music and show 5 stars. Venue one! Should have canceled the concert due to the weather instead of letting everyone sit in their cars for hours!

  • Pissed but Loved it

by Erin on 8/19/25Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre - Tinley ParkRating: 3 out of 5

The show was cut in half because of lightning that they then decided to ignore and play in anyways. We didn't see New Found Glory, we got a half set from Jimmy Eat World, and Offspring was a giant party. They should have offered a partial refund, because I was there for all 3 bands (Jimmy Eat World was why I bought the tickets), not just Offspring. They started the show before anyone could even get into the venue. They really put money first for the concert, and it sucks. Had a lot of fun with The Offspring, but it was undercut by the way they handled things.

  • I paid $180 for a concert I didn’t get to see

by Pretty Lame for a Concert on 8/19/25Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre - Tinley ParkRating: 1 out of 5

What a nightmare of a concert experience. We got to the venue for a 7:00 PM start time, but there was lightning in the area. The venue announced they couldn't open doors until lightning had cleared an 8 mile area. A huge crowd was stuck waiting outside. By 8:00 PM, people were already giving up and leaving since the weather wasn't improving. On top of that, the town where the venue is located has a sound ordinance staring at 11:00 PM (I believe bands can still play past that time as in this case but there might be fines for them). We figured with the continuous lightning and the short time frame, there was no way the show was going to happen. We made the call to leave, driving home right in the middle of a storm. The kicker? I checked online at 9:00 PM and saw the doors had finally opened. I'm out $180 for a concert I never got to see, making it one of the worst concert experiences I've ever had.

  • Offspring - Tinley Park

    by Mastertech7 on 8/19/25Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre - Tinley ParkRating: 5 out of 5

Offspring tore it up! Had a great time with friends. Rain delay made it a shorter show for Jimmy Eat World, but they were great as well! Venue drink prices are out of control, but that's what it is I guess. Sound was on point at this show. Great job!

  • Sat in parking lot

by K Shaw on 8/19/25Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre - Tinley ParkRating: 1 out of 5

Waited in car for almost 3 hrs. Several delays. Ended up leaving. Did not see show. Venue should have cancelled. Band ended up playing at 9 shockingly. Still lightning

  • Awful Experience

by Bad Times on 8/19/25Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre - Tinley ParkRating: 1 out of 5

Three hours in the car waiting for the delayed gates to open. Cut the first band. Second act played for literally fifteen mins. Offspring cut seven songs from their set list and still went twenty mins over. Lawn was a muddy mess. Still charged full price for rental chairs. A future credit is nice, but doesn't make up for this awful experience.

  • the Offspring Rocked the Target Center!!

by Dawg on 8/19/25Target Center - MinneapolisRating: 5 out of 5

I had a blast at the Offspring, New Found Glory and Jimmy Eat World Concert!!! I sang every single song from the Offspring, my throat hurt for 2 days, it was soo much fun!! I didn't realize I knew as many of the New Found Glory songs as I did, I sang along with all but 1 of their songs. They were great too. I only knew a few of the Jimmy Eat World songs, but they were still fun to see and funny too. Jim the lead singer had me cracking up with the rips he made... I would 100% go and see these guys again, especially the Offsrping, I've been a fan for a very long time and have been wanting to see them for just as long. I couldn't make it last year to the Yacht club show they were at due to being at Rockfest.. Would love to see the Offspring at Rockfest next year!! If you have a chance to see the Offspring, go and see them! Highly Recommended show!
