When Bob and Tobly McSmith took the stateside sitcom series and created a theatrical version, the pair had already let their satirical minds loose on musical takeoffs of everything from Friends to Full House, so by the time they tackled The Office, they were fully primed. But this is far from just a stage re-creation. As a musical parody, the production mines the medium for even more comic gold -- and gives you something to hum on the way home. by wasadancer on 10/21/18The Theater Center - New YorkWe Loved this. I was always "sort of" a fan of the TV show,and my husband much moreso: we both had a blast. The actors are so good, so versatile, and the wardrobe and hair people did a great job! (The person or persons helping with the costume/hair changes should get a curtain call!) Good songs, a solid band, great staging and inventive scenery - and it's freakin' funny!!. It's a parody, but its clear the creators are very fond of the original material and its people. These days we all can use a good laugh - THE OFFICE is the ticket for that. Big fun.

There were some well acted moments, some of the actors truly captured the essence of their characters. The lead character, Michael Scott, was played by a female. It is one thing to play the opposite gender, but this is a musical and the voice was very much female. Ultimately there was no original humor. These actors simply repeated the same storylines and dialogue that were played out in the series without putting a humorous spin or anything new on the original punchlines. Whatever the other reviews may say, my opinion was shared by a majority of the audience upon leaving. Just not that good.

Only three members came out, and about 15 minutes in we were told that they had to get out of costume and we had to go, but we could see them outside if we wanted. Everything else was stellar and I'd see them again.

It was hilarious and I laughed the hardest I have in forever. If you're an office fan definitely dont miss this! I never do reviews but need EVERYONE to know how great this was lol

The cast was outstanding and really played their parts well. This was a perfect mesh of our favorite episodes/scenes tied nicely together with a musical rendition of some of the funniest moments. I think the part of Jan could use a more serious tone in her initial dialog, but that's about it for changes I would make. If you're a big fan of the show I highly recommend seeing this!
