THE OAK RIDGE BOYS IN CONCERT:
The Oak Ridge Boys' timeless country and gospel classics may date back to the World War II era, but the band is still a force to be reckoned with in the 21st century. Their showmanship is unstoppable -- whether they're playing oldies like "Elvira" or the smash-hit "Leaving Louisiana In the Broad Daylight," they always keep the energy high at their live shows with perfect harmonies and tight fingerpicking. It's been over 50 years since the Oak Ridge Boys first performed together, and their voices are still sharp as ever as they treat fans to their gospel-infused country tunes on the 2014 Boys Night Out tour.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
The Oak Ridge Boys' founding member Wally Fowler started the band in 1949, recruiting an existing group called the Calvary Quartet to perform with him as the Oak Ridge Quartet. As a nod to their country gospel roots, the quartet changed their name to the Oak Ridge Boys, and their career took off from there. The group has had several personnel changes over the course of their tenure, but that hasn't stopped them from producing hit after hit during their decade-spanning career. The Oak Ridge Boys have released 31 studio albums -- a number of which have reached gold certification or higher -- and over 30 Top 10 singles, an enormous feat for the world-renowned country quartet. With numerous Grammy, Dove, CMA, and ACM Awards under their belt, the Oak Ridge Boys are truly a one-of-a-kind act. After over 60 years of touring together, the group is set to delight fans once again with a string of highly anticipated shows.
FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

"The Oak Ridge Boys are still so good and brought back so many memories. Absolutely loved them!!!"
"Cannot believe what incredible voices they have. They really give you your money's worth. I've seen the Oak Ridge Boys so many times and can't believe what a show they put on!"
really enjoyed the performance; saw them years ago and found the same enthusiasm we enjoyed then.
If ya didn't see the greying, thinning hair...you would think they have not aged a minute!!! outstanding concert...well worth the money!!
I would go see them any time any place and I am looking forward to seeing them again here in Tucson.
Watching the Oak Ridge Boys for the first time was a lot of fun for me! They sounded great and their performance was very enjoyable!
Just One Word "AWESOME". It was worth the money!!!
This is the first return for The Oak Ridge Boys since the hurricane hit, and they hit Biloxi Hard Rock with hurricane force! With a new cd released just a couple months ago, they were armed with alot of new music plus all the classics like "Elvira" that everybody loves! The venue was packed and sold out, everyone had a great time. I hope they come back to Biloxi Hard Rock soon!
There was way too much focus on solos and on new religiotic (religious/patriotic) themes. I'm patriotic, but when you start mixing the two we're talking theocracy. That's a scary theme and not what I went there to enjoy. They skipped a lot of their really good old songs in favor of stuff from their new CD. The lead singer did a lot of unnecessary posturing on stage for the amount ot talent he was able to display. I was very disappointed and so was my guest. Won't be seeing any more of their shows. I saw them only once before--back in the 60s when they were a gospel quartet. They were a lot better then.
....in a rocking chair!!! I love the Oak Ridge Boys and have seen them many times over the years; however, they don't have the crowd appeal that they had in their heyday!! I would recommend that someone go see them if they have not seen them for awhile; however, I would not go back.
The Oaks have always been a favorite group of mine and seeing them live was great. William Golden is a tremendous talent as well as the rest of the group.
I loved seeing them. They were very very good and sounded like they always have! 2 thumbs up!
The Oak Ridge Boys first half comprised of major past hits were awesome The second half after intermission that consisted of new hits was rather weak and kind of depressing. They should stick to their old material and pick a new direction for original music.
Fantastic! I sat in second row so didn't miss one beat.
Nine times out of ten our trips to Branson are planned around when the OAKS are going to be there! We never get tired of seeing them. Not only are the FOUR OAKS amazingly good, the members of the MOB (Mighty Oaks Band) are exceptionally talented musicians and singers also. GREAT bunch of guys!
The "Boys" put on a fabulous very energetic show. It was well worth the money. We were 2 rows back near center stage...awesome.
