  • Recent experience at PGA Northern Trust tournament

by Matt S on 8/24/21Liberty National Golf Club - Jersey CityRating: 3 out of 5

Overall great experience. Parking was a bit of a challenge. Also there were very long lines at concessions and they ran out of food. I’ve been to other PGA tournaments and never had this happen. Im glad I went but if there is another event at same venue I would not likely go

  • Best date with my wife! Golf isn't just for the boys!

    by L & L Johnson on 8/24/21Liberty National Golf Club - Jersey CityRating: 5 out of 5

Last minute decision to head up to the Northern Trust to check in my boy JT. I can say I was a bit star struck and my head was on a swivel. Great venture, great day and best date ever!

  • Bad Tournament Experience

by Tiger Woods on 8/24/21Liberty National Golf Club - Jersey CityRating: 1 out of 5

Very disappointing experience. By noon bathroom and food lines were 45min+ and the gift store was entirely XL and above. Terrible fan experience.

  • not enough beverage stands

by Ang on 8/24/21Liberty National Golf Club - Jersey CityRating: 3 out of 5

there were by no means enough food and beverage stands or enough employees/volunteers for the stands they did have. spent more time on lines to get water than i did watching the actual tournament. complete waste of time!

  • Golf was Great! Hospitality was Awful!

by Jack on 8/24/21Liberty National Golf Club - Jersey CityRating: 3 out of 5

I really hate writing this review because I had a great experience a couple years ago. Golf was fantastic! The venue is really special! However, the hospitality at this event was terrible. It really seems like they did not plan ahead for food and beverage whatsoever. One tent for hard alcohol? The lines at these stands were way too long. Someone needs to get into this and completely reorganize the hospitality.

  • Great course. Iffy concessions

by Rory on 8/24/21Liberty National Golf Club - Jersey CityRating: 3 out of 5

Not enough concessions and restrooms for 50.000 people

  • 2nd time going…

by Peg on 8/24/21Liberty National Golf Club - Jersey CityRating: 3 out of 5

It’s a fun event, but the lines for food are way too long. The grounds access tickets are fairly expensive, you should have more air conditioned lounges available. EVERYONE should feel like a VIP attending some place like this. While their could be exclusive lounges, there’s room for a few “regular” once’s as well. It was a extremely hot and humid day, very little Places to cool off and have a beverage.

  • Fedex Cup Experience

by Jim on 8/23/21Liberty National Golf Club - Jersey CityRating: 3 out of 5

The venue is so beautiful and it is great seeing up close the top 125 golfers on Tour. I've been going every year when the event is held here. This was the worst accommodations for concessions since they were extremely limited making it almost impossible to get just a bottle of water. Very poor planning.

  • Beautiful golf course

by Mike Vee on 8/23/21Liberty National Golf Club - Jersey CityRating: 5 out of 5

My wife and I attended the Northern Trust at Liberty National on Friday. We really liked the course and had a great time seeing the tour players up close. We drove to the parking area in Jersey City and took the complimentary bus to the course. The Bus dropped us off at the entrance by hole#5. The food and beverages were reasonably priced and very good. We had general admission tickets and took advantage of the opportunity to sit close to the greens. The event and staff were very accommodating. I can’t wait for another chance to go their again. The only thing I could recommend is to make water availability more accessible. It was a hot humid day and we had to walk far to get refreshed.

  • It's all in the details.

by Spectator 1 on 8/23/21Liberty National Golf Club - Jersey CityRating: 3 out of 5

I would have appreciated advance notice that there would be no program/map available, and that we should have downloaded one at home. While I appreciated the ADA parking, and despite scores of various carts zipping all over, I saw only once an ADA cart--and it was already full of people being carried to the exit. A small ADA platform in front of the grandstand at hole 17 had only one folding chair on it; the other three chairs were inside the fairway rope and occupied by three volunteers. The only available non-commercial shade was in the Patriots' Outpost, and thanks to United Rentals for that. The volunteers were uniformly pleasant, but unknowledgeable about the course. One well-prepared vol generously gave me a copy of the course map he had downloaded. The electronic signage gave no information as to what hole which player is, or was, playing.

  • Great event could be improved

by Russell on 8/23/21Liberty National Golf Club - Jersey CityRating: 4 out of 5

I would have liked to see a more places to get food and drinks. I felt like I spent half the time in line getting drinks. I think more people behind the counter would have been great. I would have also liked to see more of a selection in the fan shop.

  • Excellent experience

by Dort on 8/23/21Liberty National Golf Club - Jersey CityRating: 5 out of 5

The PGA has this so well organized! Great transportation to the event, virtually no waiting, great food and drink options, and great golf...overall wonderful experience!

  • Absolutely amazing

by Tom G on 8/23/21Liberty National Golf Club - Jersey CityRating: 5 out of 5

The staff was so friendly from the volunteers letting you through the fairways to the bartenders. This was my first PGA event and I can’t wait to try and make it to another one ASAP!

  • Fun for family

by Mark on 8/23/21Liberty National Golf Club - Jersey CityRating: 5 out of 5

Great experience at the NT, the setup was highly engaging, ability to get close to t boxes and really feel the pros was extra intimate

  • Very Disappointed

by bavbrielle on 8/22/21Liberty National Golf Club - Jersey CityRating: 1 out of 5

We bought tickets for Wednesday expecting to watch 125 pros hit various shots in the usual “practice round” before the start of the tournament. Nowhere was it advertised that this would be a “pro-am”. We arrived in the morning only to learn there would be 26 groups playing in the morning and in the afternoon with 1 pro and 3 amateurs in each group. Why would anyone pay to see 156 amateurs play golf throughout the day? We can see amateurs play any day of the week at our own golf course. Needless to say, we will not be back.

  • Poor Setup

by Irish on 8/21/21Liberty National Golf Club - Jersey CityRating: 2 out of 5

It was a Practice Round/Pro Am. No pairing sheets/tee times distributed at all so virtually impossible to see what player was playing and when. Also no course maps available. No charging stations but a guy selling charging cases. Many concession stands only had Michelob Ultra beer in stock and told me because it is only a “dress rehearsal “ for the real tournament. Only legitimate public transit was a ferry from city. Meaning anyone from NJ had to drive or take Uber. No shuttle from a train station ???? Will unfortunately not return as this was a great event in past

  • Fan Experience Lacking

by Vinnie on 8/21/21Liberty National Golf Club - Jersey CityRating: 4 out of 5

Compared to 2019, there were fewer food and product venders, general public bleachers, interactive experiences. Also, no handouts. A course map and tee sheet would have been helpful. Otherwise, proximity to players was awesome.

  • Fantastic time at the pro-am

by Kelly on 8/21/21Liberty National Golf Club - Jersey CityRating: 5 out of 5

The pro-am is one of our most favorite days of the year. To see all the golfers in a more relaxed state learning the course talking to the amateurs and their caddies is so fun to watch

  • Nice day at the course

by Richie JR on 8/21/21Liberty National Golf Club - Jersey CityRating: 5 out of 5

The practice round was a nice experience. Players were nice and interacted with the fans. Refreshments and souvenirs were available for a purchase and it was nice to walk pretty freely around the beautiful course.

  • On Par

by La Brisa on 8/14/19Liberty National Golf Club - Jersey CityRating: 5 out of 5

Sunday fun-day watching great golfers! Very well organized with lots of options outside of watching a solid golf game.
