    What a Night

    by 1Bear on 9/14/09Brookhaven Amphitheatre - Farmingville

I thought I was just going to see a tribute concert, but it turned out to be one of the best shows I have seen in a long time. Randy was excellent . He got better as he went on to each song.I know it was a long day for him two shows in one day,but he did not let us down. The band and the symphony were tight they didn't miss a lick. Also the sound tech's did a great job on the volume of everybody . Guitar, Drums we had it all. Excellent show... Know for the Queen tribute, did I say tribute. Simply amazing. If you thought Freddy Mercury's voice was Great you would have been in awe at last night's show . This was not an opening act. And of course the weather was perfect for an outside concert. Yea... this was a Great concert.

Not as good as the past performances

    by Olds442 on 9/14/09Brookhaven Ampitheatre - Famingville

I have been going to the Led Zep performance for 4 years, the first 2 were excellent. The sound was sooo great it brought tears to my eyes. Last year (2008) the sound was not as great but we figured - The sound man was off. Last nite we attempted again and in comparison to the previous years it was a disappontment. We have continually brought new people, but dont know if we will attend anymore. Randy Jackson is still amazingly great and the Queen tribute was great but again, the sound had no punch.

Windborne's music moved my soul last night

by Danyell on 9/14/09Brookhaven Amphitheatre - Farmingville

I can not stop talking about last night's performance from The Windborne's orchestra the music of Queen and Led Zeppelin at the Brookhaven Amphitheatre it was simply beautiful-the music, the vocals, the sound, the atmosphere- everything. The solo drum performance, by Powell Randolph, Allegra on the electric violin and the solo performance by George Cintron with Randy Jackson's vocals made it an unforgettable night. I went with a friend of mine and we both live on the upper east side of Manhattan and I said to her there is nothing in the city tonight that's better than being here! She agreed:)

    Led Zep :)

by LedZepMom on 9/14/09Brookhaven Amphitheatre - Farmingville

Although, the Queen show was amazing ... I didnt go there for that so I was disappointed that the Led Zep portion was only an hour. I think Queen should have their own show and Led Zep should stay the same. Love Randy Jackson...didnt get enough.

Bring them backe next year again. The girl on the vipe is amazing. We also got treated the music of Queen this time around and this also was a great show that we would like back next year. Keep bringing us this great Rock and Roll music. Thank you for a great night of music.

    Not worth being excited for

by DJKC on 9/14/09Brookhaven Amphitheatre - Farmingville

I just got into the music of Led Zeppelin and was so excited to see a band play it live. Half the show was the Music of Queen which I was not particularily interested in. The music was good, but there were way too few music played of Led Zeppelin. The show could've lasted another 20-30 minutes with 3-5 more songs. If the show was longer with Zeppelin music instead of half of Queen and half Zeppelin, I would've enjoyed it a lot more.

    Great performers, so-so show

by Mirrorsaw on 9/14/09Brookhaven Amphitheatre - Farmingville

The orchestra and band were really good and of very high caliber. However the overly long presentation of The Music of Queen beforehand really wore me and some other people out. Not that the Queen stuff wasn't good, it just, as a Led Zep fan, I expected the "preview" of the Queen stuff to be limited to an encore style presentation after the Led Zep show. No, it turned out this was an "opener Orchestra", hah, and the queen stuff lasted an entire hour. Good in its own right but not what I paid to see so much of. That being said, their performance of "Who Wants to Live Forever?" from the Highlander soundtrack was absolutely amazing and a real treat to actually hear live with an orchestra. The singers attempts to get the crowd into it really falls flat - it's not his fault, but he has to realize the general crowd of large 'cover band' style concerts is family oriented and extremely diverse - so its best to just shut up and play. When Led Zep got started, it was pretty good, but the setlist was a little off-kilter and very early material centered. After enjoying it for an hour we left early as the grass was getting wetter, the temperature cooler, and presentations of songs like "Trampled Underfoot" sounding more and more unlikely. I'd go again but if they ever do a "preview" I'll be sure to arrive an hour late.

Great performance by all, but especially the guitarist George Cintron. He can really make that guitar sing!

    Loved Queen Singer

by SierraDiamond on 9/14/09Brookhaven Amphitheatre - Farmingville

Overall the event was outstanding. This was our first time to Brookhaven's Amphitheatre. We were very impressed with the setting. I like the fact that you can buy tickets in the seating section as well as on the grass - nice setting. I was very impressed with the Queen's portion of the event and would recommend having it be a full show on it's own. You cannot go wrong with Led Zeppelin music either. The band and symphony made the show that much more fantastic. I would like to see more shows like this added to next years schedule - I would come to all events and bring friends.

    Double Whammy!

by GeekSoccerMom on 9/14/09Brookhaven Amphitheatre - Farmingville

Symphonic Queen, the opening act, was impressive. The vocalist, Brody Dolyniuk, has a range which almost captures Freddie Mercury's essence. He's certainly better than any other Queen tribute I've heard. The backup singers gave the performance a vocal effect that gives respect to the material, as that was something the real Queen never skimped on during live shows. This group even took a whack at the mid section of Bohemian Rhapsody, and Brody (who had merely had the microphone 'til then) sat down and played the piano during that song. Even Queen themselves played the record for the "Galileos" etc. I hope they return to do their own full concert next year. Same wonderful orchestra and band for the Led Zep portion of the show. George Cintron was his usual brilliant self. The electric violinist Allegra returned to wow us. Of course Randy Jackson was great on vocals as usual.

    Randy Jackson Led Zep Review

by Dainee on 9/14/09Brookhaven Amphitheatre - Farmingville

The concert was amazing. It doesn't get any better than a 90 piece orchestra playing Led Zeppelin. What an experience and you couldn't ask for better weather. I wish they would have played longer but some is better than none. A really a great musical experience of symphonic orchestry......

    Great symphonic show

by rushtrader on 9/14/09Brookhaven Amphitheatre - Farmingville

This was the first tiem the Queen show was performed around here and I was quite impressed with Brody's voice and style. The Led Zeppelin show was just simply amazing. The band was tight, with special kudos to George Cintron on guitar, and Randy Jackson's voice is everything Robert Plant always wished his was in concert.
