The sound had to be turned up, very hard to hear some of the people on stage. Even people around us had a hard time trying to hear.
Really great show! Had a blast. The Band was amazing!
Enjoyed the show and the performers, but sound system was too soft. The dialogue could not be heard, too bad. But the worst was the ending. The big finale when the professional marching band busts into the auditorium and belts out "Seventy-six Trombones" didn't happen! The marching band was all in place but they didn't get the cue. So, no big ending, they never played. What a blah- let down.
The Music Man was a pleasant experience that does justice to Broadway productions I've seen in the past. The dancing was great, and vocals were precise and on note. Female lead Megan Buzzard alone was worth the price of admission. Her vocal range and acting abilities were brilliant! On the down side, there were one or two mic problems, but thew were quickly remedied. Recommended for a happy evening out!
The cast did a great job at portraying their characters and the music was great! I had a blast, even having seen it before. I plan on checking into further productions put on by the Pleasure Guild because they did such a great job and it supports such an important cause.
High energy show with amazing local talent. The Palace was a beautiful backdrop. Thanks
It was an amazing performance by the entire cast and orchestra!
We took our grand-daughter who is 7 and grandson who is 9. They both loved it and sang the songs all that evening and the next day. Their school is doing "the Music Man" in May and our grandson is Marcellus Washburn. I believe he is now more excited about being in the play. I am looking forward to next years "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat".
I took several of my leads from our school production to watch this production for inspiration and character research. We were pleased with the overall production. Wondered why some music was cut. Liked how overall staging was handled very much. Felt the barbershop could have been a little better polished on first numbers but by the end of the show they were good.
Took 11 year old granddaughter and she loved it too!
My husband and I took our two children to see this production and it was truly pure family enjoyment. Every aspect was wonderful. It also made us feel good about helping out Children's Hospital. Thank you for such a wonderful event.
I thought the Music Man production was fantastic, we enjoyed it immensely. Patrict did a great job as Professor Hill and Brooke did a great job on choreography and directing. These shows are a wonderful experience and definitely goes to a great cause. Keep up the good work.
I love the old movies and definitely musicals. I was just Amazed at the talent that made this show so wonderful. I am definitely looking forward to attending more shows.
Great show and good for kids, of which there were a lot present. Actors were exuberant and professional. Best scenes were the group ones, where a large crowd of actors were organized and even the young ones showed some dancing skills. Great show.
Could have been more exciting. Lacked humor. Not as enjoyable as past events.
I love musical movies and 'The Music Man' is one of my all time favorites. I was concerned about how it would translate to a stage performance, but I'm more than pleased with the results. This was one of the best stage presentations that I have ever experienced, and I would see it again, if given the chance. Not to mention, the proceeds were for a good cause!
OUTSTANDING!!!!! Love the Pleasure Guild, God BlessThem All!
We thoroughly enjoyed seeing The Music Man at the Columbus Palace Theatre. The set was great, the costumes were so pretty and the acting was fabulous. Marian's voice was beautiful!
"The Music Man" was a lively and entertaining performance put on by the pleasure guild of Children's Hospital. The performance was family friendly and entertaining for all ages. We had a very enjoyable time.
