Amazingly professional rendition of a family treat--and all for a good cause. Loved voices and energy of lead roles as well as charm of lots of kids in cast. My grandchildren loved it! Kudos to Pleasure Guild for their tradition with Children's Hospital.

    Loved The Music Man!

by kogiesmom on 3/15/10Palace Theatre Columbus - Columbus

I went to see the matinee showing of The Music Man on Saturday, March 13. The acting, singing and music were all wonderful. There were a few minor glitches with some microphones, but you could still hear most of the dialog and lyrics and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it!

    The Music Man...

was a fun way to spend a rainy afternoon! We took an 11 year old and an 8 year old and they both enjoyed it very much. We were very impressed with the quality of the show, scenery, costumes, music and performers. A lot of fun for a reasonable price and a worthy cause!

The Music Man was more or less community theater, overall good, but could be better.

    As good as the movie

by picktowndk on 3/14/10Palace Theatre Columbus - Columbus

I was very impressed with the the whole viewing experience. The actress who played Marion couldn't have been better. Her acting and voice was just phenomenal. The choreography was spectacular and the play moved from scene to scene flawlessly. It was so good that we considered purchasing tickets to see it again the next day.

    The Music Man

The play was very intertaining. The characters portrayed were very realistic to their parts. The costuming was extraordinary. The children were so energetic and full of life. It was an afternoon that is something to talk about. We thoroughly enjoyed the play and highly recommend for all to see including children. Also, the music was most enjoyable.

The Music Man rocked the house!

by MsCaddie on 3/13/10Palace Theatre Columbus - Columbus

The cast and crew outdid themselves in this production. Rich Stadler (Mayor Shinn) is an actor for all seasons and really added depth to this character. I now have a new expression "watch your phraseology". Patrick Walters (Harold Hill) has an incredible voice and is quite an agile dancer (thanks to his years with the OSU Marching Band). When Patrick proposed to his girlfriend at the end of the show, there wasn't a dry eye in the house. Definitely a must see! Looking forward to next year's production - let's hope they engage the same talented thespians.

    Great Show! Great Value!

by Millema5 on 3/13/10Palace Theatre Columbus - Columbus

What a terrific show! The cast is fabulous and to see a show at the Palace theater of this caliber for $20 is a great opportunity! My family, including my four year old daughter thoroughly enjoyed this production and it is all for a wonderful cause for Nationwide Children's Hospital Hospice and Palliative Care Program. Don't miss this show!
