The Sandy Arts Council has a wonderful, fun, performance of Music Man. The entire cast did a wonderful job. The singing was fun and right on! The tempos were everything that I expected of them. I was very impressed.

I've never seen or even heard of Music Man, but after witnessing the amazing talents of the Sandy Arts Guild cast perform it, I love it!

  • There’s nothing half way about this production

    by E. W. on 7/2/22Rating: 5 out of 5

I love the og show and j was not disappointed seeing this! I thought it might be not great beacuse of star casting but boy was I wrong! The whole cast (everyone leads to ensemble) we’re great full of engery! Sets were amazing during Marian the Liberian I thought we were in an actual library! And the costumes were rimless! This production made me fall in love with this show again! Go see it if you have the chance.

  • Music Man-Terrific performance and extremely talented cast

by Sherry on 10/30/19Fred Kavli Theatre- B of A Performing Arts Center,Thousand Oaks - Thousand OaksRating: 5 out of 5

Wow. We had great seats and a great time. Adam Pascal and cast were totally amazing. Great singing and dancing. The orchestra was professional. The kids were so very talented. I love broadway. As a former New Yorker, I’ve seen many Broadway shows. This Performance was very comparable. My only complaint was the sound could have been a bit louder. Sometimes I couldn’t hear dialogue and I was pretty close to the stage.

  • Such Fun!

4.5 stars. I've seen The Music Man (play and movie) numerous times and it is always a joyful, high-energy experience. This production was no different! I really enjoyed it. The performances were wonderful across the board. I did wonder at the deletion of the first "Gary, Indiana" and the switching of scenes (different from the program). In addition, there were times when we could see the backstage crew standing on the side of the stage but that was probably due to our seats, which were all the way to the right of the third row, orchestra. But, overall, a fun afternoon and a wonderful introduction to live musical theater for my grandchildren (ages 5 and 4) who sat in their seats, entranced. Thank you for providing them with such a terrific and enriching experience!

Everything was excellent- singing, acting, dancing, costumes, sets, orchestra, choreography-everything! Best show I’ve seen in a while. I took my Mom for her birthday and we thoroughly enjoyed the show.

  • Excellent Evening of Entertainment

by Stum on 10/29/19Fred Kavli Theatre- B of A Performing Arts Center,Thousand Oaks - Thousand OaksRating: 5 out of 5

The Music Man was an outstanding production...Acting, music, set design, all first rate. Adam Pascal did a fine job in the lead role... I was somewhat expecting a Robert Preston close performance, brt Pascal made the part his own, yet stayed well within the context and intent of the original role. Tbe rest of the cast was terrific, especially the children... Venue was very good for such a production...

  • Music Man

by sd on 10/28/19Fred Kavli Theatre- B of A Performing Arts Center,Thousand Oaks - Thousand OaksRating: 4 out of 5

Great production, choreography. Katharine McDonough has a exquisite voice, perfect for the role. Adam Pascal, was very strong in depicting the role of the wheeler dealer salesman. Unfortunately, he seemed to be dealing with some vocal issues, his voice especially in the 2nd act sounded strained, pushed.

  • Excellent

by Mitchie K on 10/23/19Fred Kavli Theatre- B of A Performing Arts Center,Thousand Oaks - Thousand OaksRating: 5 out of 5

I'm generally skeptical and a tough audience for most shows, but Music Man is a childhood favorite so I thought I'd give it a try especially since Patrick Cassidy, who has very close ties to the original, is the Artistic Director. I was not disappointed in the least. The show was very true to the original with excellent acting, amazing voices/singing, noticeably well-rehearsed choreography, and nicely presented lighting, sound, and sets. I highly recommend this show for a good time!

  • Awesome show

by Coach on 10/23/19Fred Kavli Theatre- B of A Performing Arts Center,Thousand Oaks - Thousand OaksRating: 5 out of 5

Never saw or knew the story line of the Music Man. Like the King and I, a story of a woman entering a mans life, the Music Man is full of well known songs that will warm your heart. High recommend you see the show.

  • Good show!

The choreography was great along with the dancing and in general I liked the leads. I felt that the Harold Hill role was miscast in that the songs were too low for Adam Pascal since it is a real baritone role and even personality-wise, I had a hard time finding his character believable.

  • Fabulous, increditable, top notch, over the moon, the best

by Shannon and Tom Ray on 10/21/19Fred Kavli Theatre- B of A Performing Arts Center,Thousand Oaks - Thousand OaksRating: 5 out of 5

The performance was absolutely in creditable. One of the best performances we've ever seen. We are so fortunate to have a top notch performing art center with top notch performers and programs. We will be coming back to see "Music Man" again before it closes. We saw Adam Pascal perform in the first performance of Aida after Sept. 11 in the in NYC at The Palace and we were so happy to see him again-an outstanding artist. Thank you, Thank you :)

  • Great experience

I loved being able to let my kids experience this form of art and entertainment that we normally could not attend due to finances! We all loved it and felt it was a quality performance full of truly talented people involved in performing, lighting, sets, etc! The parking attendants, ushers and refreshment salespeople were all friendly and helpful! I was super impressed by all of it and will spread the word for next year!

  • Lots of fun and escellent performances.
