New album Always With Me out now. The Movement has been winning the hearts and minds of alternative-reggae fans since their inception in Columbia, SC in 2003. Drawing inspiration from Sublime, 311, Slightly Stoopid and John Brown's Body, they've made a name for themselves as reggae shapeshifters with a foundation of heavy drum and bass. Today the band consists of founding member, lead vocalist and guitarist Joshua Swain, bassist Jason Schmidt, drummer Gary Jackson, and keyboardist/multi-instrumentalist Matt Goodwin. Their seventh studio album, Ways Of The World (2019) debuted at #1 in the Billboard Reggae Chart, and remained in the Billboard Reggae Top 10 for more than 40 consecutive weeks. The band's eighth studio album Always With Me - out July 29, 2022 on the band's R4RE Records imprint - explores new musical territory while staying true to their champion sound. Featuring collaborations from their influences-turned-peers, Slightly Stoopid, Iration, and Clinton Fearon, and contemporaries HIRIE and Soom T, for The Movement, the only path is forward; pushing the boundaries and the future of reggae.
They are amazing! Love them! Great music and vibes!
The movement is an up & coming band ready to spread the good vibes and a message in the music.
Seeing The Movement for my fourth time over the last two years, I’ve seen them grow in popularity which is attributed to their great music. The band delivers an upbeat, fun experience while playing such great music. I’m 64 yrs old and I’ve turned so many people on to this incredible band. This is easy to do by simply sharing just about any of their songs. Josh Swain is a great song writer and performer. It won’t be long before this band is filling large venues so make sure you see them soon so you can get up close and live their songs with them.
Venue's great. Very intimate. The Movement was even better than anticipated. New favorite band!
The venue was beautiful. The drinks were good and decent priced, wheels pizza was delicious. Definitely will recommend
Love the concert great venue. Great music, love my tshirt I purchased. Clean and organized event.
The band and venue are the best. The Live Nation part, like service and availability of products, could be much better! They ran out of water for the entire venue, only sparkling water was left. No thanks! They had also run out of 2 of the few beer options offered. Also the drink lines were extremely slow. A long line is fine as long as it’s moving. There was only 1 person working that station. And there were way to may very small children for this band. I literally almost stepped on a baby they had set on the ground!
Awesome show! Great opening acts from Little Stranger and Hip abduction! The Movement absolutely killed it, great Vibe and Great Crowd!! Live Nation was a little short on bartenders this time around though so I hope they get that corrected. Nobody wants to listen to a show waiting on line!
Amazing show!!! Wonderful well run safe venue. Fantastic experience
The Movement absolutely killed it. The crowd was so into every song and you could tell the band members were excited to play in that atmosphere.
We got to the show as the first act was getting off stage, both Ballyhoo! and The Movement put on a great show. We look forward to seeing them again next time they are in Boston.
Super nice group of “uplifting” people, The Movement, incredibly tight and talented band. They played all their popular songs and sounded sensational. I am especially grateful for the love they show to all who attended. One of the best shows I’ve been to, hands down.
Teragram Room is a great venue, entrance was quick, bars with great service, free water on the side and ballroom comfortable to move around. The show was spectacular, last in tour, just WoW. Always loved the Movement and their show did not disappoint. I could not find the setlist anywhere, but playing, Habit, Take me to the Ocean, Orange Sky, Redwoodz, etc., Batucada was awesome. Not sure why close with “Jump Around”, but great show, I recommend it to any music lover. See you again at Cali Vibes!
First show since pandemic and it was dope! Venue, price, show, location, and sound was top notch.
The evening could not have been better! We parked right in front of the Venue and it looked sketchy but the old adage not to judge a book by the cover applies to this venue! Inside is clean and immaculate and the staff is friendly and helpful! They are there to make sure you have a great night of entertainment and without doubt we had an amazing night. The Venue is small enough that you may meet the artist and get that autograph you been hoping for!!! The rest rooms are clean and well managed and the Venue had a couple of bars to get your drinks and munchies. The sound in the auditorium was spectacular and the performers can see you out in the audience. There is a small V.I.P loft on a balcony at the back of the auditorium and the light effects still looked great. Overall a spectacular evening with great parking, friendly staff, and a warm party atmosphere!!!
One of the opening acts Denm was so entertaining! Denm's stage presence and delivery was on point. The Movement simply killed the entire set. Flawless precision. I would highly recommend that you go out of your way to see them live. The venue was excellent! Great vibes, close proximity, perfect music/vocal mix.
Great venue (other than the smoking in the casino) that you have to walk thru. Staff for the show did a great job. The Movement is an amazing band. Fun, talented, great songs, great performance. Their live play of “Fair Warning” is a must experience.
Amazing shows put on by all the bands! I wish it would have been at a lightly larger venue vs a max capacity show at the depot though. Bathrooms only located upstairs. Long lines for drinks. 0 extra dance space for anyone. I normally will be up front with friends but hung up in the very back due to how crowded it was.
Awesome amazing experience. So entertaining and fun!! These guys are talented as hell and love their music and they were great live!!!
Everything about this band is absolutely beautiful. It’s more than just music , it’s knowledge and spirit the people need to hear
