The Marshall Tucker Band on Tour
Southern rock pioneers The Marshall Tucker Band have created legendary music like "Can't You See" and "Fire on the Mountain" since the '70s. While the members have changed over the years, the music that defined a generation remains the same. The rockers still energize stadiums with their iconic sound that combines rock, jazz, country, righteous guitar solos, and instrumental jam sessions. The Marshall Tucker Band hit the road in 2022 for a tour of the U.S. in celebration of 50 years of making great music. So whether you're a die-hard fan of five decades or just looking for an excellent Southern rock performance, be sure to grab tickets to see the band on their 50th Anniversary Tour. You won't be disappointed.
The Marshall Tucker Band Live in Concert
The '70s were a golden age for pop-rock music, and The Marshall Tucker Band led the charge as a new wave of Southern rock bands began to emerge. In 1972, guitarist Toy Caldwell and rhythm guitarist George McCorkle formed the six-piece in South Carolina and named the band after a blind piano tuner whose name they found inscribed on their rehearsal space key. The original lineup consisted of Caldwell, his brother Tommy Caldwell on bass, McCorkle, vocalist Doug Gray, Jerry Eubanks on flute and tenor sax, and Paul Riddle on drums. The group initially gained recognition on tour with The Allman Brothers Band and found continued success thanks to their classic Southern melodies that were perfect for radio. The group's self-titled debut album was released in March 1973 and included the hit single "Can't You See," peaking at No. 17 on the Billboard 200 chart. The Marshall Tucker Band took a brief break in 1980 after the death of bassist Tommy Caldwell, but the band was revived with a new lineup and began touring again in 1983. The group mostly stuck to their musical roots, but they did take some brief detours to explore other genres with 1998's all-blues album Face Down in the Blues and the 1999 spiritual album Gospel. Overall, The Marshall Tucker Band have released over 20 studio albums and dozens of live releases, which have collectively gone multi-platinum many times. The band remains active to this day, touring throughout the United States and celebrate their 50th anniversary on tour in 2022.

Great venue and good to hear old music rock out! Drink lines were smooth and smaller event. Thanks for a good time!
Great show and glad there still performing. Everyone in the group is extremely talented.
I have loved the Marshall Tucker Band since I was a teenager. I saw them several times in concert in NJ, way back when, and they were awesome! Not so much this time. It was impossible to sing along, as Doug Gray was mumbling, losing the beat, missing words. He mentioned several times that he was old (we all are!) and that family and friends have suggested he retire, but he was having too much fun. It was no fun for us, having paid hundreds of dollars, to listen to awful music. Not to mention the flute solo, drum solo, sax solo... enough already, play the songs we all came to hear. Worst concert ever. I am so disappointed.
I hate to say but this was one of the worst concerts I have ever attended. So bad, we left - as did several others -after 40 minutes - kept hoping it would get better but it never did. Music was so loud, off key and just not enjoyable. I loved MTB back in the day. I heard they had a poor performance in Fairhope, Ala as well. Guess they should just hang it up..
The musicians were fantastic and very talented, but little resemblance to the Marshall Tucker Bank we all knew and loved. Lots of jamming and spent very little time on original songs. If you just want to hear some good music, then you were not disappointed, but not enough true tribute music.
It was a pleasant experience. I wish the band had played more songs and no encore. The lead singer is 76 and a pleasure but doesn’t really have the voice anymore. The band is really tight and some great musicians.
We saw them in the fall of 2023 and bought tickets again for the October 2024 show at Saenger in Pensacola. They were fabulous and frankly, a lot better than last year. Thoroughly enjoyed every second, get tickets if you can, you won't regret it.
A personable performance, lots of stories to set up many songs, flute player delivered the sound we've all become accustomed to.
The music was good, but Tucker has lost his voice .
We had great seats. The venue was nice and had good drinks. The acoustics were terrible! The music was so loud that I couldn’t hear the words of the songs or what was being said. I was disappointed. I really like the Marshall Tucker Band.
Don Gray was off just a touch on his sound, but that didn't matter! The band was strong! Great flute, sax, and keyboard from Marcus Henderson (the highlight player!). Fabulous strings from all three and a first class drummer with killer solo near end of show! Intimate stage at Bluesville/Tunica was rocking! Well worth the ticket price! Hard to believe these guys play 150 gigs a year!
The concert was great. The band had very strong interaction with the audience. The band changed up the songs they were going to play because of audience requests
Still excellent entertainment that makes you feel like spending time with family.
Very awesome night of memorable music. The Marshall Tucker Band were superb. Amazing job done by Marcus! A man of many talents!!!
hard to believe they been play for over 50 years. I was 13 when i first started listening to them.. And ended the nite with my all time favorite ((( Cant you see )))
These guys are super great talent, unfortunately lead singer has had serious vocal cord damage and should probably narate more as his voice IMO is not good. Great front man and show...
Loved Jefferson Starship the most. Still going strong after all these years. Especially liked the White Rabbit. It was sung better than when she was younger. Marshall Tucker band good too, especially the flute and sax guy and Georgia.
I went to hear the old songs not old stories and instrumentals with a little stank??? Or whatever he said??? So needless to say we were disappointed and left early. Jefferson Starship did ok 👍
Did not enjoy parking, but the rest of experience was excellent.
I had never been to this venue before and was very pleased with the experience. Marshall Tucker Band put on a good concert but I think Jefferson Starship stole the show. I will be back.
