The Marshall Tucker Band on Tour

Southern rock pioneers The Marshall Tucker Band have created legendary music like "Can't You See" and "Fire on the Mountain" since the '70s. While the members have changed over the years, the music that defined a generation remains the same. The rockers still energize stadiums with their iconic sound that combines rock, jazz, country, righteous guitar solos, and instrumental jam sessions. The Marshall Tucker Band hit the road in 2022 for a tour of the U.S. in celebration of 50 years of making great music. So whether you're a die-hard fan of five decades or just looking for an excellent Southern rock performance, be sure to grab tickets to see the band on their 50th Anniversary Tour. You won't be disappointed.

The Marshall Tucker Band Live in Concert

The '70s were a golden age for pop-rock music, and The Marshall Tucker Band led the charge as a new wave of Southern rock bands began to emerge. In 1972, guitarist Toy Caldwell and rhythm guitarist George McCorkle formed the six-piece in South Carolina and named the band after a blind piano tuner whose name they found inscribed on their rehearsal space key. The original lineup consisted of Caldwell, his brother Tommy Caldwell on bass, McCorkle, vocalist Doug Gray, Jerry Eubanks on flute and tenor sax, and Paul Riddle on drums. The group initially gained recognition on tour with The Allman Brothers Band and found continued success thanks to their classic Southern melodies that were perfect for radio. The group's self-titled debut album was released in March 1973 and included the hit single "Can't You See," peaking at No. 17 on the Billboard 200 chart. The Marshall Tucker Band took a brief break in 1980 after the death of bassist Tommy Caldwell, but the band was revived with a new lineup and began touring again in 1983. The group mostly stuck to their musical roots, but they did take some brief detours to explore other genres with 1998's all-blues album Face Down in the Blues and the 1999 spiritual album Gospel. Overall, The Marshall Tucker Band have released over 20 studio albums and dozens of live releases, which have collectively gone multi-platinum many times. The band remains active to this day, touring throughout the United States and celebrate their 50th anniversary on tour in 2022.

  • Original Marshall Tucker fan.

by Jani on 10/11/25Uptown Theatre Napa - NapaRating: 3 out of 5

I think these guys could have played MT’s music a lot closer to the originals. The keyboard/flute player was exceptional as well as the drummer. I think the bass player was a little difficult to follow as he was all over the stage and never looking at the audience. Both guitar players were really good.

  • Great show - Great venue

by Dan K on 10/11/25Uptown Theatre Napa - NapaRating: 5 out of 5

First. Uptown theater is a really nice venue. Sat in the balcony section and was a great view. Marshall Tucker was great. Hadn’t seen them since 1979. Great to hear all their music again. Really nice night!

  • Good Show, lots of energy, incredible sound

Great show, but really missed Doug Gray.. They rocked it anyways..

  • Country Escape

by Dori B. on 10/8/25Harrah's Resort SoCal - The Events Center - Valley CenterRating: 5 out of 5

Venue was comfortable. There was room to walk around not congested or packed in like sardines. Able to see the performers. I would recommend a big screen for those in the back. Music was great! Takes you back to a simple time that we all miss. Thank you Marshall Tucker Band!!!

  • False Advertising

by Abused on 10/8/25Rating: 1 out of 5

No original band members. Not advertised as cover band. Sound man was brutal! Instruments too loud and distorted. Vocalist was poor. Lots of folks left early at a short concert. Love Marshall Tucker, but not this band!

  • Vocals overbearing

by rick on 10/8/25Harrah's Resort SoCal - The Events Center - Valley CenterRating: 2 out of 5

when playing without vocal the musicians are talented. Vocals were literally screaming the mic.

  • We left after 5 songs

by Mimi on 10/7/25Harrah's Resort SoCal - The Events Center - Valley CenterRating: 2 out of 5

They were good musicly...except for the flute! He was showcased in every song and it was really terrible ...

Thoroughly enjoyed our MTB show in Cerritos, CA. Fantastic musicianship & showmanship! As a decades-long MTB fan since 1978, I'm very thankful for such an outstanding and entertaining concert this last Friday Oct 3, 2025.

This is one of the best concerts I have ever seen. They just jammed. I would see them again in a heartbeat.

  • Unknown songs. Terrible sound system. Background noise

by Pili on 10/7/25Harrah's Resort SoCal - The Events Center - Valley CenterRating: 2 out of 5

Not a good performance. Bad selection of songs. Bad sound system

  • Terrible

by Tucker 1 on 10/7/25Harrah's Resort SoCal - The Events Center - Valley CenterRating: 2 out of 5

The sound engineer made the concert terrible. It wasn't the band's best performance but the sound engineer failed miserably, not tuning into the flute, with the base and the drums. The volume was turned up on all instruments so that none were featured. I wanted to ask him to stop vaping and pay attention more to the sound but that wasn't possible.

  • Disappointed

by Anonymous on 10/7/25Harrah's Resort SoCal - The Events Center - Valley CenterRating: 1 out of 5

I have always enjoyed the harmony, lyrics, rhythm, and vocalizations of the Marshall Tucker Band. This is NOT that band. They were so over amped it was hard to listen to. There didn’t even seem to be an attempt to harmonize vocals. We’ve had good experiences at Harrah’s before so I’m not going to blame the venue. It felt like the band was just rushing through and trying to get done.

  • Best show in years

by Country Rocker on 10/6/25Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts - CerritosRating: 5 out of 5

I love Marshall Tucker. I’ve seen them at least 10 times. I know we’re all a bit older but this concert brought back so many memories. The band was great. Played all my favorite songs. Met the band at their bus. They were very nice and answered our questions. Took pictures with us. Totally recommend.

  • Wow, great concert!

by chicknchips on 10/6/25Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts - CerritosRating: 5 out of 5

I went with a friend to see them in Cerritos but only knew a couple of their songs. Wow, I knew more than I thought I did. It was such a great concert and everyone was having a good time! The guy that played flute, sax and keyboard added so much to the tunes. Southern rock with a touch of blues and other melodies tossed in. Something for everyone and it's fine for younger kids too....

  • Time to Hang It Up

by Old Soul on 10/6/25Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts - CerritosRating: 1 out of 5

The venue was outstanding, at the Cerritos Performing Arts Center...Top Notch. Unfortunately, the lead singer no longer has the voice, as in his younger years. It seemed as if they stretched out their performance by too long instrumentals and solos. After a while, it all sounded the same, with the exception of their 3 top hit songs. The gentlemen running the sound boards, put the flutist sound too loud. Couldn't understand half of what the lead singer said, and he didn't introduce his band mates until the last minutes of the concert. Truly disappointing.

  • Marshall Tucker

by Suz on 9/29/25Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

Best concert I’ve been to in a while! The guys still have it!

  • Did not care for

did not think it was that good, left after 40 minutes.

  • Fire On The Mountain

by Ryan on 9/16/25Peabody Auditorium - Daytona BeachRating: 5 out of 5

It was a great show! The MTB was electric, the venue was laid back, and good vibes all the way around. If they come to your town make it a must see.

Great show. Love the Peabody auditorium in Daytona beach However. Should have been disclosed that the original singer was not touring No original members Soooo it’s more or less tribute band which is fine. They were good but……..

  • Chicken Pickin'

by RoosterMan on 8/26/25Hollywood Casino Gulf Coast - Bay St LouisRating: 4 out of 5

Doug Gray keeps this band going with his guitar playing and strong vocals. It's great to hear old bands that you listened to in your teens and twenties. The Casino venues are great to see them since they are normally small and the sound it good.
