Needed a black experience in Wilkes Barre

    by Flybyrd04 on 4/9/24F.M. Kirby Center - Wilkes-Barre

The band and especially the saxophone player were excellent. The performers were ok. The two performers that gave their all were Diana and Stevie. I enjoyed myself 😁

    Overpriced and underwhelmed

by Laura S on 4/1/24The Stanley - Utica

The historic Stanley theater is beautiful. This show was a birthday gift for my husband who loves Motown music. Unfortunately I felt that the price of the tickets far exceeded the level of performance. Some of the songs were not even recognizable. One of the singers giggled through her entire performance. In the end we learned this is a family affair and all (or most) of the performers are related. This explains why some who couldn't carry a tune were in the show. Disappointing and definitely not recommended.

    FABULOUS

by Deborah on 3/19/24The Stanley - Utica

It was great. Each performer was extremely talented. It was hard to stay in my seat. The musicians were wonderful too. And finding out that most of the cast were related, was cool. I hope they come again!

A walk down Motown memory lane

by SheraJ on 3/19/24The Santander Performing Arts Center - Reading

A walk down Motown memory lane. The performers portrayed Motown artists for a song review of their great hits. Great performances mixed with some humor.

The show was Great ! Everything else needs improvement.

by Williams on 3/19/24The Santander Performing Arts Center - Reading

The Positives: The show was lively, fun and so much talent on the stage. The costumes were colorful and the plenty of costume changes. Personalities seemed to be full of life. The event even gave a little bit of history on each famous singer the character was performing. I went alone and the experience was Great ! The employees were all very nice and helpful. Everyone of them had a smile. The Negatives: Ticketmaster app was not working and kept throwing me out of the app. In order to purchase any drinks or snacks, it was credit card only (NO CASH). I received an email from the event stating no pocket books allowed, must be clear or use a clutch. I left mine home with my credit cards. Yet I saw pocket books of all sizes everywhere. I sat in the front - the first 3 rows are just fold-able chairs attached to each other and there is no room to move let alone any room to dance in your chair. It is a shame for the price of the front row seats I expect more space. The 4th row and farther were wider and more spacious. A few guests were intoxicated by the time the show began. Leading them to make a scene and even a gentleman was removed from the premise about 3/4 through the event. Over all I am glad I went.

    A night to remember

by Vonnie on 3/13/24Auditorium Theatre - Chicago

This show was very entertaining. The performers did their best to engage the audience and kept us dancing the entire show.

    Disappointed

by Maceo on 3/2/24Auditorium Theatre - Chicago

This had all the hallmarks of being a good show….however the MC was disinterested to the point of lackadaisical. The singers were at best mediocre. Everyone was shouting at the lights shining in our eyes. I was more upset that they didn’t spotlight the performers. Lastly it’s a Motown show….why is Aretha spotlighted?? Why are the artists singing songs that are not affiliated with Motown??🤷🏾‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️

    Technically Poor

by Dan on 2/29/24Auditorium Theatre - Chicago

A very talented bunch but the sound and lights were quite poor. For long periods singers were literally standing in darkness as the lights randomly moved around the stage - everywhere but where the singer was standing. Sound quality and volume were an issue. FYI. I am in the staging business so I know good from bad when it comes to tech. Nonetheless, when you could see and hear, it was pretty entertaining.

Was not a good show at all.

by Stan on 2/29/24Auditorium Theatre - Chicago

The first half of the show you couldn’t hear the singing or what was actually being said. To be honest with you, most of the entertainers didn’t sound anything like the group or the individuals they were portraying, they sounded like they needed more rehearsals and they were off key! I really feel we didn’t get our moneys worth. If it had have been a $15 show then we wouldn’t have been so disappointed! Thank you

    Just Okay

by Sue on 2/28/24Auditorium Theatre - Chicago

The show was not exactly what we had expected. The singers were very good but the arrangement of the show was slow and amateurish. There was a host who introduced each act instead of letting the audience just hear the music as we would recognize each artist by the song opening! Some artists only sang one song and we longed for more! Less talking and more medelies of songs would have made it better! It was quite expensive for seats and the show was at times karaoke!

    An injustice to the music

by Sheerq on 2/28/24Auditorium Theatre - Chicago

The band was good, as were most of the singers. Sadly, the schlocky production value lowered the quality of the experience.

    Not what I expected…

by Rick Jones on 2/28/24Auditorium Theatre - Chicago

Paid premium price for front row seats ( which were uncomfortable folding chairs) and saw a show where none of the performers sounded anything like the people they were mimicking. Now a few had great voices and a few were very average. The band was awesome but for the money I spent I feel they need singers that sound more like the Motown legends.

    Amateur show

by MSD on 2/28/24Auditorium Theatre - Chicago

The lighting was horrible and super bright lights were blinding the audience. The stage did not have the WOW factor. Most of the acts sang only one song. The female commentator was not effective and was not needed. The show disappointed me
