About

The Lumineers are a Grammy-nominated indie folk band from Denver, Colorado. Led by founding members Wesley Schultz (lead vocals, guitar) and Jeremiah Fraites (drums, percussion, piano), the band is often credited for helping mainstream the Americana genre in the 2010s, the band has cultivated a following thanks to their vivid storytelling, dynamic live shows and catchy choruses. Their 2012 hit “Ho Hey,” from their self-titled debut, reached No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100. In 2016, they released their second studio album Cleopatra, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. The Lumineers headed out on their first headlining arena tour in 2017, and opened for U2 at stadiums on the band's Joshua Tree Tour that same year. The band’s anthemic ballad “Ophelia” also went viral on TikTok in 2020–21, with help from a dancing kangaroo, and introduced the band to a new legion of fans. In January 2022, The Lumineers released their fourth studio album, BRIGHTSIDE, which peaked at No. 6 on the Billboard 200 and was described by The Telegraph as “a sweet slice of Americana that will get right under your skin.”

Missed half the show cause no one was allowed to enter

by Worst concert ever!! on 9/11/23Gorge Amphitheatre - George

Horrible Gorge experience... we had to wait 4 hours before being able to enter the venue.

    Sad

by JLK on 9/11/23Gorge Amphitheatre - George

This was my first concert with my girls and at the Gorge. We had been looking so forward to this concert. We missed the whole opener (whom my youngest was also so excited to see) and then waited for over an hour for the Lumineers to hit the stage. :( Thier performance was incredible, the experience as a whole was disheartening. Not how I wanted to remember the first concert with my girls. I’d love to have a redue!! ❤️🫶🏻😢

    Great Show, Poor Venue Conditions

by Pet on 9/11/23Gorge Amphitheatre - George

The show was absolutely remarkable! Will definitely go see the Lumineers again. Live Nation, however, really fell short with the venue. Several people waited for hours to even enter the parking lot. The show started late to attempt to accommodate all of the people arriving late. We arrived early, parked, scanned our tickets into the show, and then had to wait 45 minutes for the lawn to actually open up. We were standing in the sun with all of our gear in tow and just waiting for the lawn to open up. It also made the entrance of the venue very congested.

    Music was great! The Gorge...hmm

by JellyBean on 9/11/23Gorge Amphitheatre - George

James Bay and The Lumineers were amazing! Everything at the Gorge is WAY overpriced....ridiculous. Getting out of the parking lot was horrible; we even left before the music was over, and we still got stuck for an hour. The Gorge needs staff in the parking lot directing people. I'm not sure what was holding things up before the concert was even over. Everyone was frustrated. I probably won't go again. There's another amphitheater that is cheaper and easier, I'll stick to that.

    Poor planning and Management

by Heather on 9/11/23Gorge Amphitheatre - George

This was hands down the most frustrating experience going to a show ever due to poor management planning. The double book of shows for the weekend caused traffic gridlock and a thousand or more fans missed the show. We were just 3 miles away stuck in our cars for hours. Awful experience.

Bands Were Great, Venue Needs Help.

by Binder on 9/11/23Gorge Amphitheatre - George

James Bay and The Lumineers were amazing. The Gorge has implemented extra security/vehicle searches. This was needed, but the lines it creates are ridiculous. Then the line to get in, then the line to wait before they let you onto the lawn, are ridiculous. Not sure what the express lane is about, but it didn't seem to make anything faster. I'm just glad we arrived Thursday, unlike the hundreds of cars still in line as The Lumineers took the stage. The real debaucle was Eric Church on Saturday night. We took the shuttle in from Premier camping at 5pm, and Jelly Roll was just finishing up when we finally got through the 2 mile long line. The show was so over-sold, we could not find even standing room with any sort of a view. This will be our last trip to The Gorge unless and until they figure things out. Suggestion, open things up earlier so people can arrive early and claim their territory on the hill. Not opening the gates until just before the show only creates ridiculous lines.

    Avid Concert-Goer

by Emmy on 9/11/23Gorge Amphitheatre - George

The Lumineers put on an amazing performance at the Gorge! I was part of the lucky crowd that was able to get in and be able to enjoy the show, however for the unlucky thousands that were stuck in traffic due to the fact that the gorge and LiveNation crews were simply not able to handle the massive crowds that were expected for the entire weekend, I arrived around three and it still took my group an hour and a half to get in with the new security measures which are great! But they are simply understaffed for the massive influx of people. The Lumineers held off as long as they possibly could to make sure as many people could attend as possible and it was such a kind gesture. Overall it was an amazing show and beautiful venue but until the new security measures are more in place and smooth running I will not be attending a show at the Gorge again.

    Amazing group, beautiful venue.

by Sharon S on 9/11/23Gorge Amphitheatre - George

Getting there and parking were the easiest! Because we planned ahead and got to the Gorge early. Unlike half the people who were stuck in traffic and held up the show for 2 hours. Something has to be done to alleviate the traffic issues or we will never be back. We sat in our car for 90 minutes trying to get out with nobody directing traffic. Nobody knew where to go and nobody was helping.

Great show, The venue messed up

by Pegasus on 9/11/23Gorge Amphitheatre - George

Loved going to the concert and saw some very talented performers but the traffic was terrible in and out of the venue. I sat in the parking lot for an hour and a half with my car not moving an inch. I would’ve been there for another 2-3 hours had I not gotten out of the line I was in and drove to another angle to get out. And there was no one directing traffic within the parking lot. The gates were supposed to open at 4:30 and didn’t until after 5pm. And the concert started late because there were so many people stuck in traffic trying to get into the venue.

    Terrible parking

    by Savystar334 on 9/11/23Gorge Amphitheatre - George

The parking management of this event was ATROCIOUS and completely uncalled for. There was absolutely no direction getting IN to the concert and none getting OUT. Never before have I seen such mismanagement at an event at the Gorge.

    Terrible organizing

by Ok on 9/11/23Gorge Amphitheatre - George

Letting people camp the night before for a different show on a Friday night without letting people know they would be sitting in traffic 8 miles from the gorge for 3+ hours was outrageous. Didn’t make it to the show

The Lumineers were great, the line, not so much!

by Chris G on 9/11/23Gorge Amphitheatre - George

We arrived at The Gorge at 3:30 p.m. and were surprised at the 4 hour line to get checked into our campsite. Barely made it in time to the opener. The Lumineers were awesome though.

The best concert I have ever attended!

by Lumineers at the Gorge on 9/11/23Gorge Amphitheatre - George

This was the first time I have been to a concert at the Gorge. Unfortunately, a few days before, I injured my leg. I thought I might just cancel but I went ahead anyways and I couldn’t be any happier. From the security to the camping to the event itself, everything went beyond my expectations. I was able to contact Guest Services who directed me and my husband to the ADA shuttle. When we arrived at the venue I realized I wouldn’t be able to sit in the section that I had purchased tickets in with the rest of my family. We were all given tickets to the lower section, not just my husband and I, but my whole family. I am so grateful to all those who assisted us with our amazing experience. As for the actual concert, the Amphitheater is beyond words. It is breathtaking. James Bay was an incredible opening act and the Lumineers were out of this world. This may have been my first time at the Gorge but it won’t be my last!

Great show, but there were issues

by Snooze on 9/11/23Gorge Amphitheatre - George

Lumineers rocked, sound was great, but the gorge as a venue needs to get their act together. Some aspects were great, but way too crowded and that was even with people turning around because they couldn't get in in time!

A complete mess with no organization

by Tor on 9/11/23Gorge Amphitheatre - George

Horrible wait times and traffic management. We arrived at around 5 pm, and it still took us about an hour to get into the parking lot of the venue. Not to mention that once you were in the venue, getting to the lawn or the seats was not permitted, and there was no organized line to prepare to open those seating areas. The wait to get out of the parking lot is just as bad. We left the show at 11PM, and it is currently 12:30AM with no end in sight. We have not moved even a foot out of our parking spot since the traffic in the lot is so congested.

    Terrible traffic

by Lauren on 9/11/23Gorge Amphitheatre - George

It took over 2 hours to get to the venue from the Silica Rd exit, that's about 7.5 miles. That put a damper on the entire evening. We missed the opening artist and then the Lumineers delayed their start to get more people in, which meant we had to sit around for over an hour. Their performance was great! The venue seriously needs to figure out a better solution for traffic.

    Do better

by Asap on 9/11/23Gorge Amphitheatre - George

Spent three hours going 3 miles on the way to the venue with little to no warning. This was the worst experience I’ve ever had at an event and I will likely never go to the gorge again

    Good concert

by Gabe on 9/11/23Gorge Amphitheatre - George

It was our first time to the gorge. All of the employees were super nice and the concert was amazing. One thing I didn’t really like is that I paid 9 dollars for a cup of what was supposed to be lemonade, they gave me lemon lime Gatorade with no lid.
