About

The Lumineers are a Grammy-nominated indie folk band from Denver, Colorado. Led by founding members Wesley Schultz (lead vocals, guitar) and Jeremiah Fraites (drums, percussion, piano), the band is often credited for helping mainstream the Americana genre in the 2010s, the band has cultivated a following thanks to their vivid storytelling, dynamic live shows and catchy choruses. Their 2012 hit “Ho Hey,” from their self-titled debut, reached No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100. In 2016, they released their second studio album Cleopatra, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. The Lumineers headed out on their first headlining arena tour in 2017, and opened for U2 at stadiums on the band's Joshua Tree Tour that same year. The band’s anthemic ballad “Ophelia” also went viral on TikTok in 2020–21, with help from a dancing kangaroo, and introduced the band to a new legion of fans. In January 2022, The Lumineers released their fourth studio album, BRIGHTSIDE, which peaked at No. 6 on the Billboard 200 and was described by The Telegraph as “a sweet slice of Americana that will get right under your skin.”

Performance was great! Venue was not...

by HC on 9/15/23Gorge Amphitheatre - George

If you ever get the chance to see the Lumineers and James Bay do it! They were both incredible and I would see them again. However the way the Gorge venue handled parking and camping was an absolute nightmare! We sat in stand still traffic for 4 hours and decided to forfeit our camping spot so we could make the opener. Luckily we were fortunate enough to walk into the concert as James Bay came on but a lot of others weren't so lucky.

    Amazing folk band

by SLOLerners on 9/14/23Gorge Amphitheatre - George

Lumineers are humble, talented folk storytellers. It is telling that they can sell out a huge venue like the gorge. 25,000 people were dancing, cheering, and singing along to almost every song. The experience was great fun.

Not as good as last year

by LB on 9/14/23Gorge Amphitheatre - George

Saw them in 2022 and such a great concert. This year they seemed more commercial and just getting through their sets. No jams no fiddle solo. Not as personal and definitely not as fun as last year. Feel like they’ve gotten too big and not delivering like before. I’ve been to 6 Santana concerts and going again soon because he never lets his audience down.

    Lumineers

by Disappointed on 9/13/23Gorge Amphitheatre - George

Was excited about the Lumineers at the gorge, but it fell short with excessive traffic and show starting very late to try and accommodate people trying to navigate horrible traffic. Lumineers were great once they started!!

    Roadside Corn Field Peeing

by Amanda H on 9/13/23Gorge Amphitheatre - George

The traffic. Terrible. Sorry farmers. Very confused how the Goege can get it so wrong when they’ve been hosting events like this one for years. Very disappointed. Thank goodness the Lumineers waited for everyone to get in before starting the show.

    Frustrated and sore

by Mike on 9/13/23Gorge Amphitheatre - George

Very frustrating event. I’ve been to the gorge many times and have never experienced anything like this. We were in our cars for hours 7 total from Seattle. We missed the sunset the openeing act and half of the Lumineers

Lumineers - AWESOME! The Gorge logistics - needs help

by sbk on 9/13/23Gorge Amphitheatre - George

The Lumineers, and their opening act James Bay, were amazing. Fantastic. The experience at the Gorge left a lot to be desired, and that's putting it nicely. It is weird considering they are a big, popular venue who put on concerts all summer. You'd think they knew what they were doing and have it down to a science. They absolutely did not on this night. Delays, employees unclear on which entrances are general admission, people (not myself) sitting on the road for HOURS trying to get to parking and into venue. My husband and I arrived early, as recommended to miss that traffic chaos, then sat around for 5 hours waiting for the show. But they have it set up all wrong - you get there early, you get punished by being in the far back corner of the parking field, farthest away from the exit so when it's time to leave you are completely screwed. We even (sadly and uncharacteristically) left during the encore so that we could try to make it out, but we were immediately in parking field gridlock. We didn't move AT ALL for an hour. THEY NEED TO FILL THE LOT FROM THE FRONT (NEAREST ENTRANCE/EXIT) TO THE BACK SO THAT THOSE WHO ARRIVE EARLY ALSO GET TO LEAVE THE EASIEST. Also, when did it become okay to charge $20 for a beer? I don't plan to ever return to the Gorge. See James Bay and the Lumineers again? Love to.

    Didn't make it

by Meehan on 9/13/23Gorge Amphitheatre - George

Pulled up to the venue after dropping our girls off with grandma in marysville at 4:30 By the time we got into George we'd been on the road for 6 hours. In line, we waited another 2 hours before we decided to head home. It was a bummer

12 tickets, 2 vehicles, and miles of Eric Church fans.

by Disappointed on 9/13/23Gorge Amphitheatre - George

1 star for venue management, 5 stars for Lumineers. Would have been a great show if Live Nation or whoever manages this venue didn't allow all the Eric Church traffic to gum up the works. We got screwed for this Friday show.

Loved the music but not the Gorge experience

by KT on 9/12/23Gorge Amphitheatre - George

First time at the Gorge. Have always wanted to see James Bay and excited to finally see our most favorite band, the Lumineers. Traffic was an absolute nightmare. Left in plenty of time, sat for hours in the carline just to get there after most of the lawn space was full. One person in our party was stuck in the carline and never even made it. Two sets of our friends never made it either. The experience was super disappointing. We still love the Lumineers tho!!

    A Catasphoe

by Jim on 9/12/23Gorge Amphitheatre - George

First off we arrived 2hours prior to the event to ensure we could park, catch the shuttle, clear security and enjoy the venue (the Gorge Amphitheater), which I had not yet been to. I have yet to experience it, as we arrived to a 6.3 mile traffic jam and never even reached the parking lot after waiting nearly 2 hours. Needless to say it was a very dissapointing experience. The venue promises to do a better job in the future, so I might give them a second chance. There are so many things the organizers could have done to resolve the problem. Ironically, this is not the first time this situation has happened this summer, although not as bad as it was for our visit.

    Never got into the venue

by Pete on 9/12/23Gorge Amphitheatre - George

The line of cars was insane and moving too slowly. We never made it into the venue despite arriving early and waiting over 3 hours in line. I have just received word that you will be refunding the tickets and I am very pleased with that. Although the experience was poor, the customer service in recognizing that is very appreciated.

    The Traffic Show

by Aly on 9/12/23Gorge Amphitheatre - George

I thought I left Seattle with plenty of time to spare, but I never actually got to the show because I was in traffic forever. I would have missed the entire show by the time I was supposed to arrive, according to google maps, so I just stopped for gas and McDonald’s, turned around and drove 2 more hours back home. So disappointing.

Excellent concert, not worth the traffic

by Diana on 9/12/23Gorge Amphitheatre - George

Very poor organization at the venue led to major delays. We missed the opener and were stuck in traffic for 5 hrs. Love the show the Lumineers put on, but the venue chaos took a major toll on the morale

    Worst concert experience...ever

by HM on 9/12/23Gorge Amphitheatre - George

I'll just reiterate the other terrible reviews on how utterly horrible the Lumineers Gorge concert experience was. A missed concert for thousands (definitely not the '700' I heard the band had said) due to unending traffic lines, people driving on the wrong side of the road, people using the farmlands as a restroom - just disgraceful. When the local sheriff apologizes before Ticketmaster says a word that's embarrassing. Do not ever, ever, ever go to a concert at the Gorge.

Organization at the venue really took the experience down.....long lines causing concert delays....need more staffing and security cues!!

    What a nightmare

by Sad Fan on 9/12/23Gorge Amphitheatre - George

6 hours to get in the door? Traffic went out to the highway in each direction... My kid peed themselves in the car... we didn't have access to restrooms, water, or amenities to prepare any medications... Another mis-step from the Gorge...

    Amazing show!

The Lumineers did an awesome job and played a very long and perfect set. We really enjoyed their skill and presence on the stage.
