About

The Lumineers are a Grammy-nominated indie folk band from Denver, Colorado. Led by founding members Wesley Schultz (lead vocals, guitar) and Jeremiah Fraites (drums, percussion, piano), the band is often credited for helping mainstream the Americana genre in the 2010s, the band has cultivated a following thanks to their vivid storytelling, dynamic live shows and catchy choruses. Their 2012 hit “Ho Hey,” from their self-titled debut, reached No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100. In 2016, they released their second studio album Cleopatra, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. The Lumineers headed out on their first headlining arena tour in 2017, and opened for U2 at stadiums on the band's Joshua Tree Tour that same year. The band’s anthemic ballad “Ophelia” also went viral on TikTok in 2020–21, with help from a dancing kangaroo, and introduced the band to a new legion of fans. In January 2022, The Lumineers released their fourth studio album, BRIGHTSIDE, which peaked at No. 6 on the Billboard 200 and was described by The Telegraph as “a sweet slice of Americana that will get right under your skin.”

If Springsteen could write women better...

by J. Jack Flash on 9/19/23Hollywood Bowl - Hollywood

I know this band has some New Jersey origins...& obviously that conjures up a famous heritage. It seems to me the best songs are actually tales about women...Cleopatra, Gloria, Ophelia etc. I'm not sure how intentional it is on the part of lyricist Wesley Schultz...guess dude's just in touch w/the feminine archetype. A sensitive soul to be sure...& his vocal style harkens back to early days of country/Americana (think Jimmy Rodgers circa 1930) w/its style of a yodel almost as Schultz can make that amazing voice crack at the top of the range going for the higher notes. And it always sounds so cool when he hits 'em. This was the 3rd time I've caught their concert & they always deliver the goods. Masters of catchy melodies...it was sooo cool when he let the crowd sing certain verses for him. I mean having a group sing-a-long is one of the coolest things people can do in our ever increasingly divided world. The troubling video footage backdrop of Gloria brought a tear to my eye...but I missed seeing the vintage parade footage of a more innocent time in America during the song Big Parade which brings a tear to my eye for different reasons. Luved how he talked about the indelible HOPE that burns deep inside alll of us. Overall a nite w/endorphins & euphoria in spades...keep up the good work guys!

this was my first concert at the Hollywood bowl and although seats were a little tight they were comfortable and The Lumineers killed it. James bay looks exactly the same I swear to god that man hasn’t aged and his voice was beautiful and so was he. The lumineers concert was magical , the wine flowed and so did my tears.

    Outstanding

by Brit on 9/18/23Hollywood Bowl - Hollywood

I’m a concert junkie so went to this show because I liked them enough to go. First visit to the bowl and it was a stunning venue. The venue and the band together, however, was a mind blowing experience. I was on my feet singing every song along with the rest of the crowd. Outstanding performance, wish I could go back and do it again.

    Talented musicians and fun show

by Terhoune on 9/18/23Hollywood Bowl - Hollywood

Before the show I would not have called myself a Lumineers fan. I kind of new some of their songs. My girlfriend wanted to go to the show, so we went. I love music shows, so I'm pretty much down for attending any sort of concert/show. These guys put on a really good show. The front man has a great voice and is really good with the crowd. The other members of the band are colorful and together they put on a really fun show. If you like the Lumineers, then you'll love them in concert. If you aren't a big fan, I think you'll thoroughly enjoy their show. They are some truly talented musicians and watching them live helps put into persepctive how talented they really are. So I give the show a thumbs up and encourage people to attend if they're on-the-fence about it.
