Course fun. Caddy kind, friendly, & upbeat. Lexus stepped up with a hat in gift bag. Calloway missed the mark as big sponsor. Poor club selection ( not right wedges, players could not play their regular shots, 1/2 or 3/4 swings which they don’t play with their own clubs). No balls, hat, divet repair tool, ball marker, or anything in gift bag. Calloway needs to step up their game. Maybe a different golf partner. We are in San Diego, golf capital of the world.
I gave this as a gift to my husband and son. They had a great time. I went as a spectator and had just as much fun. See you next year!!
This year was still great event despise one hole being closed. Had a great time with my group and the staff were friendly! The event itself was lackluster compared to previous years. Previous years had a trackman setup to warm up. Putting competitions, more club selections, and more games.
Still a fun experience but not nearly as cool of a setup as prior years. The tee boxes were similar which is great but the landing areas for the greens were all synthetic turf so the balls just bounced off the green. They also had no character to them...no island green or sand/water features. The holes themselves didn't really have a theme to them either. Bring back the St Andrews hole with wind/water blowing in your face or the Arnold Palmer hole with the namesake drink and old hickory clubs to hit. It just seemed like they worked a little harder in prior years to make it a unique experience and got lazy this time around.
Was disappointed of the gifts (2) only! For a Padres sponsor was expecting more gifts or items from the Padres organization!
We had a super fun time at the Links at Petco Park! Our caddie Gabbie was really friendly and lead our group around. Great opportunities for pictures and making new friends.
A super fun experience. Hitting a golf ball off elevated tees onto the playing field at Petco is an exhilarating experience. Our Caddy Ben was entertaining as well as helpful. Only drawback is you could play a twilight round at Torrey for the same cost- a bit pricey.
Our caddie was Kai, and he helped make the experience fun. He politely laughed at our “dumb jokes” and was fun to be around
Awesome experience for golf and padre fans. Lots of fun
We had a great experience from the venue to the caddie, to the people we played with. I would say the only thing that was a real big bummer was we paid for spectators so mine and my friends wife could tag along but we were told they had to stay at the lobby/bar. We all signed waivers and would have made the experience that much better.
Great experience. The did not have women's clubs available, and it clearly said they would. Negative for my golf-playing wife, who has been looking forward to this.
What is not to love about "The Links at Petco!!" Fantastic venue, great people staffing the event. The reception room in the Western Metals Supply Building was outstanding. The different format, each player scoring was fine. Our caddie, Melissa, was a gem. The only problem was the tickets on Ticketmaster were impossible to forward and almost impossible to open on my iphone 11 pro. We will play again next year for sure!!!
A unique yet fun take on golf in the ballpark. Personally taken care of by our caddy, this gave the opportunity to tour the normally unseen parts of the park while engaging in one of my favorite pastimes. I'll be signing up for next year's event.
Although I dont golf, my boyfriend and his brother had the BEST Time!!! Their Tee time wa in the morning before the rain and then his step dad ans nephew had Tee time in the rain. Regardless of the rain they all had a great time. Even as Spectators we had a great time. There were activites we could do in between Tee times and the options for food were great too. This is definitely going to be a tradition from now on!! Thank you PETCO and Callaway
We attended the Links at Petco on January 14…. In the pouring rain! It would have been nice to have some tarps up, but I can understand why this wasn’t the case. Our caddie, Kai, was wonderful and kept us going. The venue was cool, but as a women golfer, I was really disappointed in the golf club selection! We were told there would be women’s clubs. There were not. I understand why you didn’t want to put a driver out there since someone who can drive the ball 300+ yards would be an idiot and use it, but on the holes that were 150+ yards, it would have been nice to at least have a 4/5 hybrid or even a 7 wood for some of us! (and there were a ton of women golfers on the day I was there). Despite the rain, everyone at Petco did their best to make it an enjoyable event.
Well organized. Very professional. Lots of fun. Will definitely do it again
Awesome experience! Can’t wait to go back next year. The tee box set ups were awesome and the caddy was super friendly as well and make the experience great. Can’t wait to go back next year. Just don’t bring your own clubs they have some for you to hit at each hole. Makes it easier
My husband and brother in law were practically giddy going in the dugout and hitting balls. Being in the empty stadium was kind of crazy cool and the experience was really fun for them.
Staff caters to you! If you love golf and baseball this is for you!! We will be back!!
