About

The Ultimate 80s Tribute BandRemember the Eighties? Sure, we all do...but the Legwarmers don't just remember the  Eighties -they  relive  them. With  more  moves  than  a  Rubik's  Cube,  the Legwarmers  take  the  stage  like  it's  prom  night  in  a  John  Hughes  movie,  a  very special episode of "Square Pegs" and the Monsters of Rock Tour -all at once. So remember:  this  ain't  no  half-assed  cover  band,  this  ain't  no  disco,  this  ain't  no fooling around -it's the Legwarmers, the Ultimate 80s Tribute Band

  • The Legwarmers @ The National, RVA

This was one of the best shows I've ever seen!!!!! And considering my age, I have been to a TON of concerts in my day. This one was fantastic!! The play list was awesome, and there weren't any breaks in-between songs. As soon as one was finished, the next one was starting. The only break was a 20 minute intermission, and the first curtain call. The band was very high energy and they sound awesome! They played for approximately 3 1/2 hours!!! Well worth the ticket cost!!!

  • Everyone should go!

Amazing music, an excuse to dress up, and a great crowd. I couldn't ask for more!

  • Legwarmers are great

Good show. One problem is that the band didn't start until late and took a pretty long intermission.

  • Nice to do one time

    by Clover230 on 4/23/12The National - RichmondRating: 2 out of 5

This was nice to do one time, but I won't be going back. The warm-up band - was that a band?- was awful. Unintelligable rap to remixed mystery music (I did recognize Foster the People once though.) The Legwarmers themselves were on their game, and the mix of music performed would appeal to everyone. However, the show opened Late (nearly an hour) and their intermission - well, I don't know how long it was - we got tired of waiting for them to come back on. In a nutshell, it's as I said before - it was fun to do once.

  • The Legwarmers-The Ultimate 80's Band

by DiscoMC on 4/22/12The Norva - NorfolkRating: 5 out of 5

If you can't get your dance on with this band, the band is not to blame. Great musicians with personalities to boot. There is a reason they sell out just about every show. You better get your tickets early.

  • The Legwarmers will make you dance!

by noeybrook on 1/31/12The Norva - NorfolkRating: 5 out of 5

The band was awesome in their 80's attire, smooth moves, and playing all of the songs you want to hear. They are also great at bringing the crowd into the show. It was my friend's bachelorette party and they did a great job of calling her name out and including her in the show.

Great fun dancing down memory lane! Band did a great job covering 80's music from rock to dance

Second time seeing them. Pretty much the same set but still awesome. Lots of energy and they play for a long time.

  • Fun, if You're in Yor 20's

by Babygia on 1/30/12The Norva - NorfolkRating: 3 out of 5

I went to this concert, dressed as I did in high school, with the full blown out big hair, I teased myself. That was the best part of my evening.I arrived at the show in Norfolk, Va, and noticed most of the people there were babies, or not even born when theses songs came out. Many had no clue as to what the" 80's look" looked like, except for maybe how hookers might have looked back then. I understand, this is a coverband, I get it. I thought there would be more people my age at this thing (people who where in high school in the 80's), but it was mainly 20 somethings, just looking to get drunk and sing the chorus (because that's all they know) to the songs the band was playing. If I was in my 20's, I'm sure I would have had a blst, but perhaps, I have just outgrown the club scene, because I was ready to go after the first few songs. I went to the Regeneration tour (Human League, ABC, Flock of Seagulls, Naked Eyes, Belinda Carlisle) a few years ago, and had an awesome time. There were more people my age who new the music, the dances, and it was great. The legwarmers just wasn't for me.

This was as always an amazingly good time and well worth the money. The leg warmers brought it back like always to the good ole days.

Opening act Carbon Jam was entertaining and the female lead singer had some fabulous vocals. I have seen the Legwarmers several times and this time by far was the best yet. The place was packed and the energy was off the charts. I can't wait until April. Word to the wise, get you tickets early because for some of my friends it was a no go...sold out.

The Legwarmers is a MUST-see event/experience. I have seen them twice now and love the energy, not only from the band, but from those in attendance.

  • A rad time was had by all!!

    by LVT2b on 1/29/12The National - RichmondRating: 5 out of 5

  • Legwarmers rocked the Norva!

    by Jordan94 on 1/29/12Norva - NorfolkRating: 5 out of 5

I saw them at the Norva, and they were fantastic. While they didn't necessarily get to every song I wanted, they were fantastic. They stick to the 80's pop, so if you're there for Depeche Mode or The Police, you may be a little disappointed. I really loved how much the audience got into it- I don't think I've ever seen more fingerless gloves or oversize tops in one place. But the band really killed, and I would definitely recommend this to anyone who has a penchant for 80's hair metal. Not to mention, the opening act by Carbon Jam was pretty good- definitely a good choice.

  • Unbelievably fun!!

    by KW0205 on 1/29/12The National - RichmondRating: 5 out of 5

The music was fantastic; the crowd was absolutely fun; the band totally played to their crowd. Hope to always catch them when they're in town.

  • What a great time!!!

by SuzyheartsTheUsed on 10/16/11Trocadero - PhiladelphiaRating: 5 out of 5

Band was awesome! They play all of the greatest songs of the 80s. We danced all night. It was alot of fun seeing so many people dressed in 80s clothes and we will make sure to do the same when we see them again in January. I highly recommend this to everyone. You will NOT be disappointed.

  • Great band

    by Blondie415 on 10/8/11The Norva - NorfolkRating: 4 out of 5

The band played such an incredibly long set...I was impressed. Their song choices were good and I enjoyed their energy. The only downside was sound quality. I think it was more the venue than the band. Definitely a must see if in your area!
