I got my parents tickets for Christmas to the illusionists and they absolutely loved it!! They left wondering how everything was done. I was so happy to hear them satisfied with their experience.
The NY Times reviewer said there was too much "banter and schtick", and maybe there was, but the illusions and magic tricks more than made up for it. What's wrong with playing to the audience, when you are about to fool everyone.
This show was so refreshing to watch. It had magic but it also had comedy which made for a fun time! I admit I didnt know what to expect when I purchased the tickets but was glad I did. My husband and I enjoyed every minute of it!
My 20 something year old son & I went to see The Illusionists. It held our attention throughout the entire show. We laughed often and were amazed at what we witnessed. Definitely a fun show to see! It would be appropriate for young children as well that enjoy magic. Appropriate for all ages. We had our jaws dropped open many times throughout the evening. That evening and even the next day we revisited the show together talking about, "How the heck did they do....???" I love the Marquis Theatre too.
awesome and exciting, loved this show. the performers are each very different but each is really talented and they perform creative illusions and acts of physicality.
Definitely recommend this show for all ages. It has everything - comedy, suspense, fantasic magic.
My husband and I took my grandson ages 15 and 11 and they have not stopped talking about it. It was amazing.
Different from all other Broadway Shows.... Extremely entertaining. Would see it again.... Amazing!!!
It is merely a magic show. I've seen better. Siegfried & Roy in Las Vegas were fantastic. Elephants disappearing before one's eyes, for example. On Broadway, David Cooperfield couldn't be believed in 1987. The illusionists had some fairly good tricks, but nothing not seen many times before. If the show were half the price, it might be worth it. At the full Broadway rate, there are probably better ways to spend your entertainment dollar.
The show provided not only modern tricks of illusion using technology but it also incorporated comedy into the mix along with audience participation. The variation of what each illusionist brought to the show makes it worthwhile to go see for yourself. It was a great show and very different from what Broadway regularly offers.
My grandsons (ages 12 and 17), my daughter and I totally enjoyed you guys. Not only were your performances AMAZING, the reactions of my grandsons were MEMORABLE! Before purchasing the tickets I showed the promo clips to them to see if the show was of interest. ABSOLUTELY NO DISAPPOINTMENTS!

I saw much better illusionists on " America Got Talent."
I expected some magic. But I didn't expect this. The performers were beyond my imagination. Truly enjoyed the show. It was well worth the money. The performance was over 2 hours.Must See
My husband and I took my 13 year old son to see the show and we all loved it. It had the wow factor we were looking for. It had comedy and suspense. It was definitely worth it!
This show was short on WOW. There were few incredible moments where you said "That was amazing!" The blonde host Jeff was the highlight of the show. No doubt. There were also a ton of other people on the stage at various times that was just annoying without obvious purpose other than to distract you to help the act. Bottom line was the show with $200 plus seats in the orchestra were a disappointment.
Seen all the magic acts performed by other magicians. Nothing new.
This was an amazing show. Totally entertaining with a wonderful variety of personalities.
It was well ballanced with comedy, manipulation, escapes, etc. with audience participation.
The Illusionists are amazing! As soon as the show was over, our family wanted to buy tickets again to see it again. And again. And again! We were mesmerized and wowed the entire show!
