    Really entertaining

by S. S. on 3/3/20San Diego Civic Theatre - San Diego

Had a great night and was well entertained by The Illusionists. We had excellent seats which I think is important for a magic show. The show was funny, charming, amazing, and mysterious. Some of the performers were better than others but I definitely recommend it.

It had great illusions, audience participation, and some comedy.

    Amazing

I loved it. I wish that Mr. Kim was featured more. He was amazing and we rarely had a chance to see him.

    Performers- GREAT, but Experience NO

by K. on 3/2/20San Diego Civic Theatre - San Diego

I think everything about the performers and their tricks were really good and would have been entertaining, but it was hard to see and hear everything. I didn't buy the most expensive seats, but certainly not the cheapest either, but the one large TV they used for everyone not in the first 3 rows was still really small and I felt on the edge of my seat only because I couldn't see what was happening as well as straining to hear. The mics were really low and it made it difficult to follow along. My son who LOVES magic found himself trying to play with the seat in front of him instead of watching the show. It was a bummer.

The Mentalist was especially good. All the performers were very talented. The humor and audience participation kept the show moving.

    The Illusionists

by Dennis on 2/29/20Fox Performing Arts Center - Riverside

The show was great until the mentalist came out. Very crude sexual innuendos. With half the audience being kids it wasn't cool at all!

    Grand Illusion

by Illusionist Review on 2/29/20Fox Performing Arts Center - Riverside

The show was a blend of grand illusion, mind reading, card tricks and a full view escape act. The acts were family friendly the type you would see at a small time resort and some more edgier modern magic you might see at a headline act in Las Vegas. The show was lacking that edge of your seat amazement but made up with the casts humor and antics.

    So much fun

by Drewster on 2/9/20Palace Theatre Columbus - Columbus

My mom and I had a good time. The magic was awesome! I liked the daredevil the most, especially when he did something Houdini couldn’t. Perfect date for kids and parents!

    Show had its moments but...

    by LAMM on 1/14/20

... it wasn’t worth the $140 pp. The venue needs upgrading. The concession stands were lacking variety especially for the exaggerated prices. The seats were cramped (small and very limited leg room). The stage should be a bit higher to reduce vision obstructions. The show was tame for adults for the most part. All performers, other than Steve Valentine, lacked personality and appeared bored with the show. The magic/ illusions were basic. It was an average night out with ok entertainment.

not as good as it used to be

    by j. b. on 1/9/20

We saw the original illusionists with the original cast and it was fantastic, but they've clearly got the B squad doing it now. Everything just felt cheaper and phoned in. They need to spend the money and bring back the A-team if they want to charge $100 a ticket. The British host was annoying and told countless jokes my grandpa used to tell. Nothing new or innovative, just standard bits. They did a straight jacket escape which put us to sleep. Show used to be great when it first came out, make the Illusionists great again!

    Amazing

by Guider Kai on 1/8/20Meridian Hall (formerly Sony Centre for the Performing Arts) - Toronto

We bought a ticket for our 8-year old grandson as a Christmas present. At intermission he wanted reassurance that there was much more to come and at the end of the show he asked if we could come again next time these guys are in town. Couldn't ask for a better review. The two hours passed very quickly. The show was amazing and lots of fun!!

Showed seemed more like a comedy act

by Melissa Adriana on 1/8/20Meridian Hall (formerly Sony Centre for the Performing Arts) - Toronto

There was hardly no magic. Show consisted of jokes that at times seemed very inappropriate. I would not recommend children to attend. The jokes consisted of topics such as Jesus & sexual innuendos. I will not return to another illusionists show again and I do believe in magic!

    Good show

by Sheabutter on 1/8/20Meridian Hall (formerly Sony Centre for the Performing Arts) - Toronto

We had been to something similar a few years ago in Toronto and found this one not as good. We found it wasn’t long enough and most of the magic was smoke and mirrors. The host was excellent. The encore performance was a disappointment with cards writing “the illusionist” we found the computer technology wasn’t anything great, just buying time. In a prior show we loved the person who called out someone randomly and knew their bank card number-really interesting. It was way too much money for what was delivered.

    Fun Night

by Effie on 1/8/20Meridian Hall (formerly Sony Centre for the Performing Arts) - Toronto

Quick change routine excellent. some card tricks were interesting. Could have had more "magic" content versus idle talking/too many card tricks....Overall OK show.
