About

The Head and the Heart in Concert

With an infectious style that combines folk, country, pop, and smart songwriting, Seattle, Washington's The Head and The Heart have earned a reputation as a consummate live act, charming concertgoers with their layered arrangements and intricate vocal harmonies. In 2013, the band released their most confident and mature album to date, Let's Be Still, featuring lead single "Shake," an indie folk stomper that perfectly captures the energy of the band's live performances. After meeting at various open mic nights around Seattle, the band officially formed in 2009, touring the Pacific Northwest before releasing their self-titled 2010 debut album. The buzz of that album attracted the interest of several labels, and the band ultimately signed to Sub Pop Records, who re-released The Head and The Heart LP in April 2011 with additional material including "Down In The Valley, "Lost in My Mind," and "Rivers and Roads." The band toured widely throughout 2010 and 2011 as a supporting act for Dave Matthews, Death Cab For Cutie, and The Decemberists, also headlining their own shows before returning to the studio to record their sophomore album. On tour in 2013, the band impressed ticket buyers with their eclectic live concerts, leading audiences through foot-stomping sing-alongs of the indie folk anthems they've become known for.

The Head and the Heart will release their four studio album called Living Mirage on May 17, 2019. They start touring in the summer of 2019 with 39 dates in support of the new album along with the alternative rock band Hippo Campus on select dates.

  • Incredible show

by Amy on 10/27/23Saenger Theatre Mobile - MobileRating: 5 out of 5

This show was amazing! I have seen Amanda Shires live and love her passion and violin playing but this was my first time seeing The Head and The Heart and I was blown away. The band interacted with the crowd and really seemed to enjoy their time in Mobile.

Easy to catch the shuttle in and out. Friendly staff. Great "pit"standing section right by the stage. I absolutely love the venue also. The band was delightful, energetic. The sound was great. All around great great experience.

  • The Head and the Heart rock out the Bandshell

by Jeff on 10/23/23Miami Beach Bandshell - Miami BeachRating: 5 out of 5

Saturday’s performance by the Head and the Heart at the Miami Beach Bandshell, a small-ish outdoor venue was inspired and memorable. They performed all their hit songs while also introducing new songs. The instrumentation, coordination between band members and vocal performances were all outstanding.

3rd time I’ve seen The Head and the Heart. This band is the best! Harmonies are sport on and the heartfelt and moving lyrics are unique and set this band apart.

  • The Head and the Heart is an absolute must.

One of my favorite bands at one of my favorite venues. If you have not experienced a LIVE The Head and the Heart concert, it simply is a must. Thy are so freakin talented and have such great energy on stage. The really know how to play and speak to the heart of the audience. I fell in love with this band at the Avett at the Beach concert and have been playing their music non stop since then, and that was years ago. At this particular show, Amanda Shires opened for them. She is incredible!! Such a great night with amazing talent non stop.

  • The best concert ever!!!

I know I have never been to a concert but I must say this was better than I could have ever imagined!!! I didn’t even know it was possible for them to sound better in person!! They really know how to make the crowd happy! It was one of the bests night of my life!

  • Great venue in the heart of LA

by Fabicarb on 9/4/23The Bellwether - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

The Head and the Heart are an awesome band all about the fans. The venue is very cool. It has a little restaurant upstairs where people can chill until the show starts or get food and drinks while the show is going on. The venue is clean and easy to get to. I had a great time with my daughter jamming to the hits.

  • Awesome Concert

  • Concert 5 stars -Parking 0 stars

by Disappointed Burg resident on 8/29/23Rating: 5 out of 5

The Head and the Heart =5 stars!!! Concert at Riverfront Park along the river with food trucks = 5 Starts!! Unfortunately, the city did not follow through with a critical part of the night - PARKING WAS ATROCIOUS!! They did not proactively have people pay for parking in the garage the site told us to park at. After an enjoyable concert, everything turned ugly - people were irate!! We had to wait hours to pay for parking and get out of the garage- it was disastrous!!! Extremely disappointing that the city failed with such a simple part of the Summer Series events!

  • AMAZING SHOW !!!!

  • Great show, great venue

by JennG on 8/25/23Rating: 5 out of 5

The Head and the Heart toured with Father John Misty and Miya Folick. Their show at The Sylvee on Monday 8/21 in Madison was so fun!!!!!!! Venue was great, clean, AC, 2 large well staffed bars. Security great. Check in was a breeze. The band (thath) pretty much stuck to their typical set list found online, great sing a long. Can’t wait to see them again.
