The Head and the Heart in Concert
With an infectious style that combines folk, country, pop, and smart songwriting, Seattle, Washington's The Head and The Heart have earned a reputation as a consummate live act, charming concertgoers with their layered arrangements and intricate vocal harmonies. In 2013, the band released their most confident and mature album to date, Let's Be Still, featuring lead single "Shake," an indie folk stomper that perfectly captures the energy of the band's live performances. After meeting at various open mic nights around Seattle, the band officially formed in 2009, touring the Pacific Northwest before releasing their self-titled 2010 debut album. The buzz of that album attracted the interest of several labels, and the band ultimately signed to Sub Pop Records, who re-released The Head and The Heart LP in April 2011 with additional material including "Down In The Valley, "Lost in My Mind," and "Rivers and Roads." The band toured widely throughout 2010 and 2011 as a supporting act for Dave Matthews, Death Cab For Cutie, and The Decemberists, also headlining their own shows before returning to the studio to record their sophomore album. On tour in 2013, the band impressed ticket buyers with their eclectic live concerts, leading audiences through foot-stomping sing-alongs of the indie folk anthems they've become known for.
The Head and the Heart will release their four studio album called Living Mirage on May 17, 2019. They start touring in the summer of 2019 with 39 dates in support of the new album along with the alternative rock band Hippo Campus on select dates.

My friends and I are still talking about the show. Great music, beautiful venue. Plenty of staff. Lines weren’t long. So, so glad we went.
Laid back atmosphere, friendly staff, vendors, ample parking, plenty of ports johns, acoustics were great, head and the heart put on a spectacular show. One of my best concert experiences. I’ve seen the Stones twice, Led Zeppelin twice, the Who 4 times and probably enjoyed this show the most!
The Head and The Heart sounded amazing - great energy, fun crowd, beautiful night. Firefly Distillery is a fantastic venue! Loved the opener, Happy Landing, too! Just a great night.
The Head and the Heart at St. Louis Music Park was a great show. Parking was organized, venue was great and the artists were great.
Combination of songs from new album and some older songs. Made for a great show with high energy. Never a disappointment.
This was my first time seeing The Head and the Heart and I loved every minute of it!! They have such great energy and played a lot of my favorite songs. Definitely worth seeing live!!
Shakey Graves and the head and the heart we’re both excellent. The venue was great. I definitely plan on seeing them play again. That was one of our favorite concerts we’ve been to. What wonderful memories we made.
The show was amazing! Performers were amazing, food was excellent, staff was friendly. I just wish I had more room to dance!
The sound was awesome at the sound stage. Would recommend. It was definitely worth it. Very fun
Incredible band that gave an incredible performance. Exceeded high expectations. Too bad they are so underrated. Listen to them. See them.
The show was amazing, start to finish, from Shakey Graves’ first note to THATH’s last note. The venue, The Armory (Minneapolis) is one of my all-time faves. Just, so, so good.
I took my son’s 12-year-old foster daughter to her first concert. This was around my 10th concert experience. I was excited to finally go to The Armory since I’ve heard a lot about it. First off, before they even scan your tickets, they put a 21+ wristband on you BUT if your under 21, they put a large black “X” on the top of BOTH of your hands with permanent marker. I understand the concept and, yes, it is effective but it seems there could be a less demeaning way of indicating someone is a minor. And COLD!!! It was so cold in there—the entire concert! I had on a t-shirt, sweater, leggings, skirt, thick socks and boots and I was still cold! The last thing, I purchased balcony seats (number 1 and 2). Usually the lower the number, the closer you are to the stage—not here. We were the FARTHEST you could get from the stage. Thank goodness The Head and The Heart was awesome! Shakey Graves put in a great show too, but something was “off” with the sound. The bass was too heavy/muffled and you couldn’t understand his voice (singing nor talking). It was pretty disappointing because I love Shakey Graves!
The concert was pretty good overall, hard to hear them talking though and the girl singers voice sounded terrible. Mostly, the venue is not good. I wish the stage were higher so you could see over the 7 foot tall people that like to stand in the front of everyone. There really should be some seating somewhere to give (older) people a break. $30 parking was kind of a joke.
I purchased really excellent tickets anticipating Dawes would be performing for a friend and myself - they didn’t perform and I wasn’t notified that they were no longer on the schedule it would have been nice to know so we could make other plans
Shakey Gaves was amazing!!! Sound in the venue is getting better every show I see there. H&TH were great but seem to still be missing the heart of the band. Had a fun night either ay
Just an incredible show. They have an awesome energy and sound in person, harmonies we're great, and the set list was pretty much everything I could have asked for. Shaky Graves was also an awesome opener, both getting the crowd loosened up and making some wonderful music along the way.
Great opening act, Shaky Graves! H&TH is great live and will not disappoint!
This was our second time seeing the Head and The Heart at the Sylvee. The venue is always a pleasure to be in and the band is incredible. I hope they continue making awesome music and coming to Madison to perform it.
The weather was perfect for this venue Everything was clean and neat The sound was great! It was an awesome show!
This such an awesome venue and the band was amazing live! The VIP Pass Experience was definitely worth it. The only suggestion I have is that they should have a few more coffee kiosks....
