About

The Head and the Heart in Concert

With an infectious style that combines folk, country, pop, and smart songwriting, Seattle, Washington's The Head and The Heart have earned a reputation as a consummate live act, charming concertgoers with their layered arrangements and intricate vocal harmonies. In 2013, the band released their most confident and mature album to date, Let's Be Still, featuring lead single "Shake," an indie folk stomper that perfectly captures the energy of the band's live performances. After meeting at various open mic nights around Seattle, the band officially formed in 2009, touring the Pacific Northwest before releasing their self-titled 2010 debut album. The buzz of that album attracted the interest of several labels, and the band ultimately signed to Sub Pop Records, who re-released The Head and The Heart LP in April 2011 with additional material including "Down In The Valley, "Lost in My Mind," and "Rivers and Roads." The band toured widely throughout 2010 and 2011 as a supporting act for Dave Matthews, Death Cab For Cutie, and The Decemberists, also headlining their own shows before returning to the studio to record their sophomore album. On tour in 2013, the band impressed ticket buyers with their eclectic live concerts, leading audiences through foot-stomping sing-alongs of the indie folk anthems they've become known for.

The Head and the Heart will release their four studio album called Living Mirage on May 17, 2019. They start touring in the summer of 2019 with 39 dates in support of the new album along with the alternative rock band Hippo Campus on select dates.

  • The head, heart and heavens

by Anupama on 7/12/23Rating: 5 out of 5

Rain held off, until dousing everyone dramatically at the end of the show! What a great venue, and both bands landed the heavens right there with us, their fans. Loved this, and hope to see another concert at Stone Pony Summer Stage soon.

  • Best show this year!!

by Jane on 7/5/23Rating: 5 out of 5

I was so happy with the Head and the Heart concert! Been following them for years now and I was very amazed and excited to see them again. Awesome experience!

  • Wanted more Revivalists

by KJ on 7/4/23Rating: 4 out of 5

For a "Co-headliner"tour, there was an obvious imbalance in the length of time Revivalists played. Which is who I went for. Also, I had great seats, so I didn't mind that the screens at the venue were either not working at all (left of the stage) or had partial outages (right of the stage) but I would imagine some were upset by this.

  • Great Show Every Time

by Greeny on 3/18/23Rating: 5 out of 5

One of my favorite bands. I’ve seen them 3 times in 3 different places and each time they sounded amazing. Would definitely see again!

  • THATH Riviera

by Chucktown melomaniac on 3/18/23The Riviera Theater - CharlestonRating: 5 out of 5

Although there were missing band members, the head and the heart put on a great show in a wonderfully intimate theater.

  • Great show

This was my first time seeing the Head and the Heart live. They did not disappoint. It was a great show. They played all my favorite songs. I can't wait to see them again.

  • Amazing venue and band!

by Emily on 10/19/22Firefly Distillery - North CharlestonRating: 5 out of 5

Loved the whole experience so much. The Head and the Heart was amazing! And Firefly is such an awesome concert venue. They could use more food trucks and drink tents though!

  • Awesome Experience

by BobB on 10/19/22Ascend Amphitheater - NashvilleRating: 5 out of 5

The band and the venue were awesome. Such a great night and can't wait to see the band again. The venue is one of the best i have been to...from getting in, the lines, the restrooms all of it was easy to access and went quickly. The staff is very friendly and the sound was perfect. We'll be back that's for sure (FYI, we are from Cincinnati and traveled to see this show).

  • amazing show

  • Came for the opener

by KH on 10/18/22Ascend Amphitheater - NashvilleRating: 2 out of 5

The Head and the Heart mostly sang out of tune, left after 5 songs. Shakey Graves was awesome though!

  • Shakey Graves was incredible

by Jons on 10/18/22Ascend Amphitheater - NashvilleRating: 3 out of 5

The opener, very boring, still don't even know who that was. The drinks, it should be illegal to charge more for a cocktail that's literally just lemonade and pickers vodka than a nice meal. Also the advertising for that is scummy as hell. Shakey Graves, incredible. Funny, engaging, charismatic and incredibly creative. Even if he was technically the second opener, he's the reason I went to the show. Didn't stick around for the head and the heart, literally no interest in seeing them play.

  • Two great bands, one beautiful night in Atlanta!

by Bubbles on 10/17/22Cadence Bank Amphitheatre at Chastain Park - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

Haven’t been to Cadence (Chastain) in years. Love the new beverage, refreshment and bathroom area.

  • New band experience

by Tree on 10/17/22Cadence Bank Amphitheatre at Chastain Park - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

Took my adult daughter who loves the band and Shakey Graves and went with her friend, who also loves them. They both were new experiences musically for me even though I did some homework prior to the concert. Really enjoyed both the acts and being with them. And I loved that I didn’t have to pull money from my retirement to go!! The weather and location were perfect! Love Chastain concerts ! Overall a great night!

The Head and the Heart's outstanding musical performance was enhanced at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre where there is not a bad seat in the house! From the old to the young, from couples to families to groups of friends, everyone enjoyed this evening filled with great music.

  • Hot as hell, amazing show

by Madi D on 10/16/22The St. Augustine Amphitheatre - St AugustineRating: 5 out of 5

We thought we were safe doing an outdoor show in October but honestly it was hotter than hellfire. However, Shakey Graves and the Head and The Heart were magical. We sang our hearts out and danced along with everyone in the pit.

  • Fantastic Experience

Shakey Graves opened up for HatH. Great energy, fantastic set. I hope they both come back soon.

  • Amazing concert!

by Jillejo on 10/16/22The St. Augustine Amphitheatre - St AugustineRating: 5 out of 5

My first time seeing The Head and the Heart was awesome! I love so many of their songs. My 20 year old daughter attended with me and it was an experience we will never forget, especially listening to Ghosts live, which we both love and was our first introduction to the band several years ago. They were fun and personable. The St Augustine venue was fabulous! I want to see them again!

  • Absolutely amazing

I’ve never seen them live before and now I will definitely make sure I see them every time they come to Florida. Such an incredible amount of talent. Loved the whole show! Great music and vibes
