The Guess Who are a Canadian rock band formed in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The band released eleven studio albums, all of which reached the charts in Canada and the United States. Their 1970 album American Woman reached no. 1 in Canada and no. 9 in the United States, while five other albums reached the top ten in Canada. The Guess Who charted fourteen Top 40 singles in the United States and more than thirty in Canada.
The band found their greatest success in the late 60s and early 70s, under the leadership of singer/keyboardist Burton Cummings and guitarist Randy Bachman, with hit songs including "American Woman", "These Eyes", "No Sugar Tonight/New Mother Nature", and "No Time". With Randy Bachman's exit in 1970, Kurt Winter joined the band and The Guess Who would go on to release the band's top selling album Share the Land. Songs such as "Hand Me Down World", "Hang On To Your Life", "Albert Flasher", "Clap for the Wolfman", "Runnin' Back to Saskatoon", "Star Baby", and "Glamour Boy" would follow.
The Guess Who officially broke up in 1975 with the exit of lead singer Burton Cummings. Cummings. Members of The Guess Who reunited a number of times over the years, with their last concert being in front of 450,000 at the Molson Canadian Rocks for Toronto SARS benefit concert.
With Randy's powerful guitar work and Burton's distinct vocals and keyboard mastery, the duo continues to capture the spirit of what made The Guess Who a household name. They are more than just former bandmates -- they are ambassadors of Canadian rock, whose influence can be heard in countless acts that followed in their footsteps. Hailing from Winnipeg, Manitoba, The Guess Who were pioneers who dared to dream beyond their borders--and succeeded on a global stage.

Great concert wish they would have played longer. Played all of their popular songs. Main singer sounded like the original
Venue small but nice. Sound was pretty good. I took my mother to this concert as she's a big fan of the Guess Who. I grew up listening to them with her while driving around in her car.
the music was ok despite no burton cummings and randy bachman.the problem was they barely played for hour and a half.8:05 to 9:25.they also had a guitar solo that wasted more time to play songs people wanted to hear.the banquet hall they played in is not a venue for music.folding chairs and bad sight lines.
Awesome!!!!! Everyone left there with a smile on their face!
While I cannot rate the venue very highly as it is a square room with very little acoustic tuning, the band was great. Derek Sharp, the lead man since 2008 did a great job of getting the crowd involved and building the enthusiasm. We had bought multiple tickets at different times as we took a "rolling party" to the show, those who were in the rear section of the floor said the sound was "muddy", and those who sat on the extreme right said that the view of the performers was not good, that they would strive to be in the center section in the future. The Guess Who? GREAT! The Blue Chip Casino as a concert destination? Poor.
the guess put on a very good and entertaining show glad we went
These guys Still Have It! Had a great time:) Concert was a little short but well worth seeing a blast from the past!
enjoyed the show they were great could really rock with them
The Guess Who sucked and sounded really flat. BAD all the time.
The Guess Who was totally awesome! We had a Blast, so much FUN!
Band was great....dissappointed there were only 2 original members and Burton Cummings wasn't one of them.
A great show. Hit after hit. Their songs are amazing.
So much fun! The band encouraged the audience to getup and party, so we did! They were just amazing and the music was better than ever.
Saw these guys for the second time @ Twin Rivers Casino. Great Venue, great seats, 5th row from the stage. Can't wait to see them again!
I think this is my 3rd review for these guys in less then three years. So, I obviously like the band. But to be honest: as concert dollars aren't unlimitted, if they're not playing within 5 minutes of home and on Friday nights, I'm probably not at this show. Not much more to add to the two earlier reviews. Good show. Granted, only the drummer (Gary Peterson) and bass player (Jim Kale) are left from the original members (no Bachman, no Cummings). And the bass player had some 'injury' and wasn't there tonight (last time I saw the band, the drum mer wasn't there, recovering from rotator cuff surgery). But the new members and fill ins are talented musicians and do justice to the original recordings. They played all the hits you'd want to hear. While I loved hearing American Woman, No Time, and No Sugar Tonight , my favorite part was when they played Shakin' All Over and the two guitarists (Derek Sharp and Laurie MacKenzie) just went nuts and jammed for a while!
Great show! They played a ton of the classics. Start to finish it was a great show full off cool highlighted solos by each of the members.
Exellent show as always!!! They still have excellent voices and seem to enjoy what they do.
Loved it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! would go see them again. had a great time
We went on a Friday night after a long week of getting up at 5AM for work, so I was afraid I'd be tired for the show, The band was really energizing though and their 1.5 hour set had 'a great variety of old Guess Who favorites from my teenage years and a few new selections. The only reason I'm not giving it a 5 star is that not all the original band members are performing. Yet a couple of the band members are the same. The younger lead singer (not Burton Cummings) had a strong stage presence and did a great job of revving up the crowd. The musicians were strong and they didn't stray too far from the original 60's/70's sound. The event didn't dissapoint.
