About

The Guess Who are a Canadian rock band formed in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The band released eleven studio albums, all of which reached the charts in Canada and the United States. Their 1970 album American Woman reached no. 1 in Canada and no. 9 in the United States, while five other albums reached the top ten in Canada. The Guess Who charted fourteen Top 40 singles in the United States and more than thirty in Canada.

The band found their greatest success in the late 60s and early 70s, under the leadership of singer/keyboardist Burton Cummings and guitarist Randy Bachman, with hit songs including "American Woman", "These Eyes", "No Sugar Tonight/New Mother Nature", and "No Time". With Randy Bachman's exit in 1970, Kurt Winter joined the band and The Guess Who would go on to release the band's top selling album Share the Land. Songs such as "Hand Me Down World", "Hang On To Your Life", "Albert Flasher", "Clap for the Wolfman", "Runnin' Back to Saskatoon", "Star Baby", and "Glamour Boy" would follow.

The Guess Who officially broke up in 1975 with the exit of lead singer Burton Cummings. Cummings. Members of The Guess Who reunited a number of times over the years, with their last concert being in front of 450,000 at the Molson Canadian Rocks for Toronto SARS benefit concert.

With Randy's powerful guitar work and Burton's distinct vocals and keyboard mastery, the duo continues to capture the spirit of what made The Guess Who a household name. They are more than just former bandmates -- they are ambassadors of Canadian rock, whose influence can be heard in countless acts that followed in their footsteps. Hailing from Winnipeg, Manitoba, The Guess Who were pioneers who dared to dream beyond their borders--and succeeded on a global stage.

  • very dissapointed fan

    by schmoozie39 on 8/19/14Eastside Cannery - Las VegasRating: 3 out of 5

I am a true fan! i was the only one in the front three rows that knew the words to all the songs and they stank because they only played 6 songs the entire show. They were very selfish and show cased there musical ability which I could have cared less about. We already know they are musicians. I wanted to hear all the songs I love and sing everyday. In the entire 2 hour show they played 6 songs I knew and I was so dissappointed I would never go back to see them again. Waste of time for a true fan!

  • Where at the hitmakers

by mrkev on 7/19/14tropicana - Atlantic cityRating: 1 out of 5

Anyone going to see this band should be aware, that contrary to the radio advertising the original singer and guitarist and song writers are no longer with the band. This would be like Zepplin touring without Page and Plant.

Missed Burton Cummings but the concert was really good. They still sound great and played all the classic favorites.

  • The Guess Who comes through!

    by JMS1969 on 3/25/14Tropicana Showroom - Atlantic CityRating: 4 out of 5

Excellent show! The Guess Who gave a great performance providing their fans with all the classic hits we all grew to love... Amazing but true these hits stand the test of time and have been heard through the years by fans young and old... Quality and excellence... Close your eyes and flashback to times of listening to their greatest hits alone in your bedroom as a kid...

  • Guess Who

by Pacor on 3/25/14Tropicana Showroom - Atlantic CityRating: 1 out of 5

I thought that the concert was terrible. Essentially the Guess Who are now nothing more than a cover band capatalizing on the name of an essential 60's group whose time has come and gone. I rate the concert as poor.

  • The Guess Who

by keppat on 3/25/14Tropicana Showroom - Atlantic CityRating: 3 out of 5

I was disappointed in the Gues Who. They were half an hour late getting started. They did not play all their old songs and they played some new songs I did not care for.

  • Impostors

by RMHIII on 3/25/14Tropicana Showroom - Atlantic CityRating: 3 out of 5

While the guys were great musicians, they were impostors. There is only one "The Guess Who" w/ Burton Cummings, Randy Bachman etc. If you are a Guess Who fan, go see this show. It will only solidify, "How great the original member were. The lead singer is NO "Burton Cummings".
