We saw BTO a few months back and it set me wondering who we were going to see this night. All was explained and the show was really something. If they are getting near your town it is worth your time. Stunning bit of R&R. They play a long variety of GW tunes and of course at 70, I knew of nothing after about 1972. The "New"stuff is very worthy.
Loved every minute of the concert performed by the Guess Who. Both new and old members alike wowed the audience. Such fun. Look forward to them coming back again, great venue at the Magnolia.
Great vocals and musicians, super crowd interaction, really enjoyed the show
Great walk through the classics and some new releases. Well executed performance
The band with the new members had a good energy and great musicians. The show was amazing.
This concert was amazing….I have been to many concerts over the years and this was seriously in the top 5! Thank you!!
The band was good, but it was not The Guess Who, so we were a little bummed. We were expecting the great talent of Burt Cummings and sadly that was not the case. They should not market themselves as The Guess Who. However we did enjoy the show.
Energetic band with really great musicians. Thoroughly enjoyed the evening with nothing bad to say.
Great band in a very cool venue. They played a good amount of their old hits and sprinkled in some new songs too. Worth the time to see for sure.
The Guess Who was a fabulous concert! The frontman was a great entertainer, musician and singer. He knew how to work the audience, and was dressed for the part with his 70's attire including his bell-bottom pants. It was pure nostalgia! I was very pleased that they played all of their hits, and performed them just the way we remembered them. Historical references were made by band members throughout the concert, and that made the concert even more meaningful. The length of the show was just right, and the acoustics great. It exceeded my expectations!
Overall the concert was lots of fun. Parking was easy both in and out. $15 not bad. The Guess Who played many of their old hits and this part of the concert was great. They also played a lot of new songs which were not so good. I think most everyone at the concert wanted to hear more of the old hits. That said, it was a nice night bringing back lots of nice memories.
Good fun show, good musicianship and showmanship, and of course great songs that hold up well. Went with a friend who didn't even know the Guess Who, and he really liked the show. Definitely worth the night out.
The Guess Who gave us a wonderful concert last week. Started promptly and lasted an hour and a half with no intermission. The lead singer, Derek Sharp, is amazing. His voice works for the iconic Guess Who songs, and he is an incredible musician and showman. Derek and the band were so generous in throwing out guitar picks, coming to the end of the stage for selfies, etc. The band played a few new songs which were fine, and did justice to each much loved Guess Who song. Clap for the Wolfman was beautifully supported by a real Wolfman in the band. It is really nice to be pleasantly surprised by an awesome concert. I hope they come back soon!
I had an awesome rockin' time with guess who... You guessed it... The Guess Who!! (I can hear your eyes rolling in your head...) Even though there was only one original band member - Gary the drummer - the total sound and performance of the whole group was just so much fun. Derek is a great lead vocal and a total showman. He knows how to have fun with the audience... and they all know how to make the classic sound come alive. Plus their new songs were great too.
First off, this venue is great - no matter where you sit, you have a good view of the band. The Guess Who was great as ever and Wow, they sounded as good instrumentally as the vocals. Entertaining show and played (all my) fav songs. Glad they came to T.O. and glad we went. Fun time!!
What a great flashback experience back to the late 60’s and 70’s! The venue had free available parking, the sound system was clear and not too loud, and all the band members were amazing singers and musicians. The song selections were a great mix of oldies and newer songs making for a very enjoyable music event!
If you love the songs The Guess Who wrote and performed in the days of yore, this show does not disappoint. While the drummer, Garry Peterson, is the only original member of the band, the other guys on stage are stellar, all of them accomplished musicians and fine performers. They really shined when they stepped out of The Guess Who catalog, to be honest, but every song was well-played. You will be entertained and hear all the great hits!
Fantastic show! Was sad they didn’t perform Star Baby or Laughing, which would have made a perfect play list. They played 3 non-popular songs which was a bummer. But all in all, a great show.
From the parking to the staff just an overall pleasant experience each time I have come to an event!
