The Guess Who are a Canadian rock band formed in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The band released eleven studio albums, all of which reached the charts in Canada and the United States. Their 1970 album American Woman reached no. 1 in Canada and no. 9 in the United States, while five other albums reached the top ten in Canada. The Guess Who charted fourteen Top 40 singles in the United States and more than thirty in Canada.
The band found their greatest success in the late 60s and early 70s, under the leadership of singer/keyboardist Burton Cummings and guitarist Randy Bachman, with hit songs including "American Woman", "These Eyes", "No Sugar Tonight/New Mother Nature", and "No Time". With Randy Bachman's exit in 1970, Kurt Winter joined the band and The Guess Who would go on to release the band's top selling album Share the Land. Songs such as "Hand Me Down World", "Hang On To Your Life", "Albert Flasher", "Clap for the Wolfman", "Runnin' Back to Saskatoon", "Star Baby", and "Glamour Boy" would follow.
The Guess Who officially broke up in 1975 with the exit of lead singer Burton Cummings. Cummings. Members of The Guess Who reunited a number of times over the years, with their last concert being in front of 450,000 at the Molson Canadian Rocks for Toronto SARS benefit concert.
With Randy's powerful guitar work and Burton's distinct vocals and keyboard mastery, the duo continues to capture the spirit of what made The Guess Who a household name. They are more than just former bandmates -- they are ambassadors of Canadian rock, whose influence can be heard in countless acts that followed in their footsteps. Hailing from Winnipeg, Manitoba, The Guess Who were pioneers who dared to dream beyond their borders--and succeeded on a global stage.

Close your eyes and they sound like you were transported back almost fifty years they sounded so good.
I grew up listening to the guess who back in the 80s they are a great band still rocking in 2024
The Guess Who put on a great show and were very audience interactive and personable!
The Guess Who were spot on, singing most of their hits, including Undone, American Woman and many more. A fantastic concert. Well done.
The Guess Who were fantastic!! Great seats and loved the new and old songs!!!
Music was good but prices should reflect a "cover band"I've seen headliner shows that are cheaper than Ocean Blue prices..
I have seen a lot of shows over the last couple of years and this one was near the top. Like many bands from this era, all the original members are no longer there, but don't let this fact minimize the performance and celebration of their great music. The band is really tight and entertaining. If they are still around in a couple years, I will probably go see them again. I loved the show! Note to Blue Ocean: Keep people from standing up near the stage that didn't pay for front row seats!
Unless Bachman and Cummings are playing, itâs not the real Guess Who. I was fooled by false advertising several years ago by this tribute band, who, despite legal challenges, continue to use the original group name. Rain might do a good imitation of the Beatles, but at least they donât claim to be the real McCoy. Nobody sings like Burton Cummings!
As always, a great show. Lots of energy, and fabulous songs!!! Keep them coming back!
Guess Who put on a great show at Blue Ocean Music Hall. Musicians played some terrific guitar solos and the vocals were true and sharp . Everyone around us enjoyed the show. All my favorite guess who classics were played !!
The Blue Ocean is a nice venue to see bands. The Guess Who show was very entertaining, it was not just playing music but crowd interaction and stories, good musicians
Fantastic show. Highly recommend. The singer has a great voice and fantastic. He is so energetic and funny! Bank is excellent.
I was very surprised at the quality of the performance, I have been a fan of the Guess Who for 55 years. I felt that this band was very close to the original and very entertaining. The guitar play might even be better than the original. The venue was enjoyable, and sits right on the ocean, as in the waves, breaking on the building.
Outstanding performance!! A change in personnel that has coalesced into a great band!! Definitely worth seeing!!
The Guess Who is being sued by former members of the band, who did write some of the hits. But the band is now better without them! The lead singer, Derrick Sharp is a dynamic individual and voice that is a must see. The other guitarist (Michael Steratore) is an amazing talent, and now they have added Greg Smith on base (previously seen with Tommy James and the Shondells and the Happy Together tour) and Ted Zigzag (really?) on keyboards. Yes, they do the hits that we all come to hear, and they do some new material as well. Behind the band is the original drummer, Gary Peterson, who has been banging the skins for 74 years. This is the best version of Canada's #1 Rock export ever seen. They are a joy to watch and listen to!
Venue was nice. Guess Who should have played nothing but their hits. Two third of the songs I wasn't familiar with.
It was a great evening with the band "The Guess Who"who played absolutely fantastic. They played lots of old hits and some new ones from their latest album. All in all I would see them again.
Very good group, not what expected, I would definitely see them again
Great show full of energy and great music. Derek and the band put on an amazing show. Have seen them many times and they just keep getting better..
