About

The Guess Who are a Canadian rock band formed in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The band released eleven studio albums, all of which reached the charts in Canada and the United States. Their 1970 album American Woman reached no. 1 in Canada and no. 9 in the United States, while five other albums reached the top ten in Canada. The Guess Who charted fourteen Top 40 singles in the United States and more than thirty in Canada.

The band found their greatest success in the late 60s and early 70s, under the leadership of singer/keyboardist Burton Cummings and guitarist Randy Bachman, with hit songs including "American Woman", "These Eyes", "No Sugar Tonight/New Mother Nature", and "No Time". With Randy Bachman's exit in 1970, Kurt Winter joined the band and The Guess Who would go on to release the band's top selling album Share the Land. Songs such as "Hand Me Down World", "Hang On To Your Life", "Albert Flasher", "Clap for the Wolfman", "Runnin' Back to Saskatoon", "Star Baby", and "Glamour Boy" would follow.

The Guess Who officially broke up in 1975 with the exit of lead singer Burton Cummings. Cummings. Members of The Guess Who reunited a number of times over the years, with their last concert being in front of 450,000 at the Molson Canadian Rocks for Toronto SARS benefit concert.

With Randy's powerful guitar work and Burton's distinct vocals and keyboard mastery, the duo continues to capture the spirit of what made The Guess Who a household name. They are more than just former bandmates -- they are ambassadors of Canadian rock, whose influence can be heard in countless acts that followed in their footsteps. Hailing from Winnipeg, Manitoba, The Guess Who were pioneers who dared to dream beyond their borders--and succeeded on a global stage.

Great show The Peabody is a nice venue, nice vibe. every seat is a good seat The Guess who played for 1 1/2 hours with a nice mix of our favorite oldies & and some really good new music. Much better than seeing a show at a huge arena

The Guess Who is always entertaining with so many classic songs and some incredible new music too! First time at the Peabody and somewhere we will sure to check for any future venues that we would like to see. Thanks to the entire band for such a great show, AGAIN!

The band put on a very fine show. You lose track of how many good songs they had. Lead singer is outstanding. It's a pleasure to hear him it all the notes. Also great rapport with the audience. Well worth the admission.

by CJ on 4/2/23Peabody Auditorium - Daytona BeachRating: 5 out of 5

Of course all the songs we remember however the vocals, those harmonies, the lead and bass guitars, the exquisite piano flute and horn with the legendary drums, what can we say? Superb. Bravo.

I enjoy the Peabody Daytona, a great place for a concert. The Guess Who came into town, so I bought tickets the day they came out. they have been making timeless music since before I was born and will always love the pure music and vocals. i had a great time and will join them again next time they re in town. the crowd was loving it, we were entertained with new songs as well as the standards we love to listen to. they forgot to play laughing but the finished with no time and leave me with lasting memories.

  • The Guess Who

by Bird Eagle on 4/2/23Peabody Auditorium - Daytona BeachRating: 5 out of 5

One of our most favorite concerts and we’ve been to many. All musicians were extremely talented and were fun to watch. We loved the band’s new and old songs. We particularly loved the song Haunted. When four of the musicians harmonized together it was obvious they all have strong pipes. The lead singer had a voice that wouldn’t quit! We would definitely see them again and again.

  • The Guess Who -

by Chas on 4/2/23Peabody Auditorium - Daytona BeachRating: 5 out of 5

Excellent. Very good. Played 1 hr 15 minutes. Fun time........ only original member was the drummer (78 yo).... but had some really talented young musicians working with him .. AND surprisingly they have been making and releasing new music even thou the original band broke up in 1974.. played 8 of their Big hits.... I thought their new music was pretty good.... very very talented keyboard player.... good singers

  • Guess Who

by Sherry on 4/2/23Peabody Auditorium - Daytona BeachRating: 2 out of 5

This was a tribute band with only one original member from the Guess Who. They were very good, but not worth the price of the original band.

  • Outstanding Experience!

by Gray Beard Biker on 4/2/23Peabody Auditorium - Daytona BeachRating: 5 out of 5

FANTASTIC amazing show. Grew up with the Guess Who & BTO, almost unbelievable that at 77 Gary Peterson is still shredding the skins! His "front men" are hugely talented showmen. We will attend their show whenever they are close by! You can't go wrong!

  • The Guess Who at the Peabody

by Camheart on 4/2/23Peabody Auditorium - Daytona BeachRating: 5 out of 5

FANTASTIC!!! Such talented musicians with the original member. They were all so good vocally and musically. It’s hard not to mention them all. A definite go to again.

  • Quality

by Freshcut on 4/2/23Peabody Auditorium - Daytona BeachRating: 4 out of 5

Every song was great. High quality. Several members played multiple instruments. Only negative is Short show about hour and half. Maybe if the founder needs a break play 60 mins take 30 or so minutes break and return to finish long and strong.

  • Great concert

One of the best concerts I’ve ever been to. I hope I get to see them again.

  • Excellent concert

by Mela on 3/31/23Lillian S. Wells Hall at The Parker - Ft LauderdaleRating: 5 out of 5

The music was great, the vocals and instrumentals were spot on. Additionally, The Parker is a very good venue for any concert.

  • Pleasantly Surprised

by KJ on 3/31/23Duke Energy Center for the Arts - Mahaffey Theater - St PetersburgRating: 5 out of 5

Initially had heard that Randy Bachman was one of the members touring. Only the drummer is from the original group. However...this performance was extremely entertaining. Great replacements both musically and vocally! Totally rocked the place!

  • Music was good - but did not play long enough

by Marie Maz on 3/31/23Duke Energy Center for the Arts - Mahaffey Theater - St PetersburgRating: 5 out of 5

Seats were good - loved all the songs - wished they played longer.

  • Decent but a little disappointed

by Happytheman57 on 3/30/23Lillian S. Wells Hall at The Parker - Ft LauderdaleRating: 3 out of 5

Didn’t realize the concert would be like a cover band . The lead singer from this band is what made them great . He wasn’t there . Only the drummer was original. I liked the concert but didn’t love it .
