About

The Guess Who are a Canadian rock band formed in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The band released eleven studio albums, all of which reached the charts in Canada and the United States. Their 1970 album American Woman reached no. 1 in Canada and no. 9 in the United States, while five other albums reached the top ten in Canada. The Guess Who charted fourteen Top 40 singles in the United States and more than thirty in Canada.

The band found their greatest success in the late 60s and early 70s, under the leadership of singer/keyboardist Burton Cummings and guitarist Randy Bachman, with hit songs including "American Woman", "These Eyes", "No Sugar Tonight/New Mother Nature", and "No Time". With Randy Bachman's exit in 1970, Kurt Winter joined the band and The Guess Who would go on to release the band's top selling album Share the Land. Songs such as "Hand Me Down World", "Hang On To Your Life", "Albert Flasher", "Clap for the Wolfman", "Runnin' Back to Saskatoon", "Star Baby", and "Glamour Boy" would follow.

The Guess Who officially broke up in 1975 with the exit of lead singer Burton Cummings. Cummings. Members of The Guess Who reunited a number of times over the years, with their last concert being in front of 450,000 at the Molson Canadian Rocks for Toronto SARS benefit concert.

With Randy's powerful guitar work and Burton's distinct vocals and keyboard mastery, the duo continues to capture the spirit of what made The Guess Who a household name. They are more than just former bandmates -- they are ambassadors of Canadian rock, whose influence can be heard in countless acts that followed in their footsteps. Hailing from Winnipeg, Manitoba, The Guess Who were pioneers who dared to dream beyond their borders--and succeeded on a global stage.

  • Great concert

by MIKE on 5/22/23Tilles Center Concert Hall - BrookvilleRating: 5 out of 5

The venue (Tilles Center) is great. Not a bad seat in the house. The new Guess Who line up is fantastic. Derek Sharp stole the show. They sang all of the classic Guess Who his along with a smattering of new songs. Unforgetable. They are a must see!

  • Excellent venue! Excellent show!

by Dennis Beatleboy on 5/22/23Tilles Center Concert Hall - BrookvilleRating: 5 out of 5

I will definitely be back to Tilles Center! Great welcoming and friendly venue! As a guitar player for 55 years I can tell you that the Guess Who were top notch performers in every way! A+++

  • Totally enjoyed it

  • Classic Rock with contemporary style

by Artdirektor on 5/22/23Tilles Center Concert Hall - BrookvilleRating: 5 out of 5

The band had fun and didn't take themselves too seriously, which is great. Musicianship and chops were right on! Undun was a highlight for me. I thought the volume level on some of the heavier numbers wasn't appropriate for the venue... decibel levels were better suited for MSG or Jones Beach. Overall it was a great night and brought back memories of when "the music was good!"

  • The Guess Who?

by RockStar Rich on 5/22/23Tilles Center Concert Hall - BrookvilleRating: 5 out of 5

I was apprehensive about seeing this band because I knew the only original member left was the drummer … So in essence it’s really a tribute /cover band than anything. That being said , the music is great and the way the lead singer got the crowd going along with the great arrangements and excellent musicianship made this show a lot of fun… Hey the songs are what they are … great songs; that you will probably not here anyone else pull off quite as well… So I would say that if you love the music of the guess who … this is a great show to see👍

  • Blast from the Past

by Lipster on 5/22/23Tilles Center Concert Hall - BrookvilleRating: 4 out of 5

Orleans was charming and pleasant to watch. The Guess Who was excellent! At this point the Guess who is a cover band considering the Drummer is the only original remining member. The Guess Who lead singer is charismatic, has a great voice and puts on a 1st rate show. I had a a wonderful evening.

by JD Of Boston on 5/21/23Blue Ocean Music Hall - SalisburyRating: 5 out of 5

Definitely worth the price to see this excellent band. Vocals, musicianship, overall sound was superb. Lead singer is also a virtuoso on the guitar and just a fabulous showman.

  • It was awesome

by Leeanne on 5/21/23Blue Ocean Music Hall - SalisburyRating: 5 out of 5

I thought it was a great show! Went with my sister, we grew up listening with our parents. They sounded just like we remembered. They also had a really good show, energy, solos, participation. Great show, I’ve been telling everyone!!

Enjoyed the music and the new Blue Ocean theater seating instead of tables provided a much better view of the stage.

  • Classic Rock At It’s Best

by Pankaki on 5/21/23Blue Ocean Music Hall - SalisburyRating: 5 out of 5

Everyone is sitting when the band comes on stage, then they start to play all of a sudden they start jamming the audience is jumping up singing, dancing , swaying to the music it’s a small venue which I loved! They were excellent I can’t wait for them to come back & play again!

  • Unforgettable!

by JL on 5/21/23Blue Ocean Music Hall - SalisburyRating: 5 out of 5

Was thrilled to be able to see the Guess Who in such an intimate setting. It was a trip back to the 70's listening to them on my 'record player' in my room. Have been to concerts at Gillette stadium where you could barely see the stage and then spend hours just trying to get out of the parking lot. The Blue Ocean was a wonderful experience. Thank u!

  • Guess "Who"

by Kevin C. on 4/20/23Lillian S. Wells Hall at The Parker - Ft LauderdaleRating: 3 out of 5

Only 1 remaining survivor. More of a cover band! Bring back the "old school!"

  • A Night with The Guess Who

by Scubagirl on 4/11/23Peabody Auditorium - Daytona BeachRating: 5 out of 5

Everything about the concert was AWESOME!! The venue was exceptional! I knew that the only original band member was Garry Peterson, the drummer. I wasn’t sure how the “band” would sing, play, etc.. However, I know the words to ALL of their old songs, so I decided it would be FUN, regardless. The band did a FANTASTIC JOB! If you didn’t know better….you would think it was the original members! I am so happy that I made the decision to go - I had a GREAT evening!

  • A True Rock & Roll Show

by Maverick on 4/5/23Lillian S. Wells Hall at The Parker - Ft LauderdaleRating: 5 out of 5

When we learned that the Guess Who were playing, we jumped on it right away as I'm certain many of our contemporaries in the audience did. When lead singer Derek Sharp said that we were part of the greatest era in music, it was the absolute truth! Seeing groups from our time growing up is a treat and the band left us wanting more. What a performance! And the Parker, as always, was a great venue and the staff fantastic! Thanks Folks for a great experience.

  • Great Band

by Netter on 4/4/23Peabody Auditorium - Daytona BeachRating: 5 out of 5

I was very impressed when the band came out waving to the crowd. It was nice to hear songs that brought back old memories. I highly recommend seeing them.

  • The Guess Who rocked!

The entire band sang and played together as a cohesive unit. It was an excellent concert from start to finish!

  • Excellent

    by L. H. on 4/3/23Peabody Auditorium - Daytona BeachRating: 5 out of 5

This was one of the best concert shows we have seen at the Peabody in Daytona Beach. The last few shows, the sound system was terrible. There was 6 of us and we all enjoyed this event. The Peabody really needs more of this kind of entertaining

  • An amazing show
