About

THE FAB FOUR IN CONCERT:

You know the saying: if it walks like a Beatle, if it talks like a Beatle...it must be The Fab Four, the world's foremost Beatles tribute band. The California-based quartet have been reviving Beatlemania with their spot-on impersonations for over 12 years, and practice has made perfect — the band's tours consistently satisfy the Beatle-shaped hole in fans' souls, drawing rave reviews for their extensively researched, down-to-the-mannerisms enactments of late great band's legendary live concerts. The Fab Four continue to carry on The Beatles' legacy in 2014, hitting the road with their beloved show on a string of North American tour dates.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Founded in 1997 by John Lennon impersonator Ron McNeil, The Fab Four spent their early days touring Southern California and playing regular shows at Disneyland. As the band's reputation grew, they landed an increasing number of high-profile gigs, including a headlining slot at Liverpool's annual Beatleweek in 2004 and a residency in Vegas from 2005-2008. Since then, the band has taken their show around the world, keeping the memory of John, Paul, George, and Ringo alive and rocking.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

"What a great performance. It was like we were actually watching and listening to the Beatles live.”

"If you like The Beatles' music, and who doesn't, you owe it to yourself to see this band. They talk like The Beatles, they sing like The Beatles, they look like The Beatles, and  they play like The Beatles."

"Took my 11 y/o son who is the biggest Beatles fan I know to see the Fab Four in Reading, PA. I felt like I was watching THE Beatles live in 2013! They sounded spot on & I loved how they got the crowd involved in the show."

  • Paul McCartney is the show

by FollowYourHeart on 4/12/11City National Grove of Anaheim - AnaheimRating: 4 out of 5

The Fab Four played the sold out event at The Grove of Anaheim. My friends had raved about how exceptional this Beatles tribute is, and I found this to be very true. Unfortunately, a bad impersonator of Ed Sullivan told highly crude, obscene, and obnoxious jokes and walked all over the stage; this was distracting and was so offensive that had I not been with friends I probably would have walked out. For a tribute band of this caliber, their act was tarnished by this unprofessional amateurish host.

  • Fabs AWESOME as usual!

by TheScouser on 4/11/11City National Grove of Anaheim - AnaheimRating: 5 out of 5

I've written multiple reviews of the Fab Four, because I've seen them like... maybe 10 times? I don't know lol, but they just keep getting better!! The Grove of Anaheim is a great venue, intimate with great staff and wonderful sound quality; but the band was really on top of their game this performance. As usual, they do the Beatles better than any other tribute band I've ever seen, but they also had a WINGSband performance after wards, which was such a rare treat!! Both the Fab Four and WINGSband (obviously a Paul McCartney and Wings tribute) are made up of relatively the same band members, with the exception of a few other musicians. Both bands were absolutely amazing. All of the musicians are incredibly talented and you can definitely tell that they take great care in recreating the sound of both the Beatles and Wings!!

Enjoyed the evening entirely. They provide non-stop entertainment and we counted at least 26 songs! Their voices, style and slight nuances were all that encompassed the BEATLES.Only regret was they didn't include one of our favorite songs, Hey Jude. Nevertheless, it was delightful.

  • The fab four were amazing

The concert was very entertaining. The Fab Four band members are very talented performers and true musicians. I would love to see them again!! Wow, the vocals were AMAZING!!

  • Hands down, THE Best Beatles Tribute Band. Ever.

by PastorJeff on 4/11/11City National Grove of Anaheim - AnaheimRating: 5 out of 5

I've been a Beatles fan since their first appearance on Ed Sullivan in 1964 and have heard many Beatles tribute bands in both the US and UK. We have seen Paul McCartney and Ringo's All Starr Band live many times. While Beatles tribute bands like Rain may be better known in some circles, The Fab Four is, in my judgment, hands down, without question, the single-best Beatles tribute band, far ahead of the competition. All of their music is live (no sampling, recordings, etc.) and their performances are spot on, with amazing attention to nuance and detail. A woman we were sitting with had never heard the Fab Four before and actually wept in joy and amazement during this performance. Seriously, weeping. During their performance at The Grove in Anaheim the Fab Four added a set of Wings music in their (occasional) incarnation as "The Wings Band" to which they added a hot, four piece horn section. My only critique would that the Ed Sullivan character ijust open the show; I grew tired of him and found him distracting and even a bit annoying after a while. Apart from Ed, the show was, as always, amazing.

  • The Fab Four were FABULOUS!

by ocwaltz on 4/11/11City National Grove of Anaheim - AnaheimRating: 5 out of 5

My husand and I are in our sixties so of course were teenagers when the Beetles arrived in America. Watching the Fab Four was a trip down memory lane. We loved it and the Grove of Anaheim venue is so comfortable and easy to get to. We've seen the Fab Four 1 time before and will definitely see them a 3rd time.

  • FabFour was good entertainment

by fab53 on 4/11/11City National Grove of Anaheim - AnaheimRating: 3 out of 5

first time at this venue...great seating. will come back to see other shows. FabFour was good. Enjoyed the early Beatle music, wish they would have played more of their later music instead of breaking away and doing the "wing" stuff. But it was a great night out.

  • The Fab Four - Good Beatles Tribute

by RambleWithGamble on 4/11/11City National Grove of Anaheim - AnaheimRating: 4 out of 5

We all (6 of us) enjoyed the first 1/2 of the evening. The second 1/2 was mainly a tribute to Paul McCarthy and Wings - a band that I had never been a fan of. I wish they would have played only Beatles songs throughout the entire event. I could have left at intermission and not regretted it.

  • I felt like I was watching the Beatles!!!!

by Valkat on 4/3/11Montgomery Performing Arts Centre - MontgomeryRating: 5 out of 5

It was my first time seeing THE FAB FOUR and I really enjoyed the show from beginning to end. They did a great job allowing us to relive the Beatle years. I would recommend this show to everyone!!

  • Fab Four was Fabulous

This was absolutely a great performance with a sold out crowd. It was hard to imagine so much sound from just four guys. Love them and hope they come back soon!

  • The Fab Four is getting so GOOD

by Judielf on 3/22/11Montgomery Performing Arts Centre - MontgomeryRating: 4 out of 5

I have alway's been a Beatle's fan and when my first grandson turned 4 he surprised me by thinking the Beatle's were the greatest. We could be riding in the car with the radio on and one of their song's would play and he would shout it's the Beatle's. 2 years ago they played in Birmingham and I took him. He was so impressed with 'Rain" that he wanted to go all the time. For X'Mas this year, he is 13, I bought us ticket's. This he liked better than Call of Duty. He really enjoyed the Ed Sullivan part's of the show as he knows the first performance in the US was there and there are no rerun's on TV. They are getting sooooo much better and the Ed touch was the cherry. When he found out he could meet the Fab Four and get their autograph he was in 7th heaven. This group is a class act, took time with each person that wanted to meet them.

  • Blown Away

by nittnylion on 3/21/11Montgomery Performing Arts Centre - MontgomeryRating: 5 out of 5

I had heard a lot of good things about the Fab Four before going to the concert, so my expectations were very high. The guys didn't meet those expectations, they blew them away! I was so impressed that I went online the next day and looked at footage of the Beatles performing live, and the Fab Four guys actually sound more like the records than the Beatles did. No matter how you want to grade the Fab Four -- authentic looks, spot-on vocals, perfect on their many instruments, fun and entertainment -- it was all off the charts wonderful. I would go see them tomorrow and will definitely go see them any and every time they perform near here. Finally, rabid Beatles fans, fear not. The Fab Four are all about honoring the Beatles, and everything about the concert feels real and authentic. Attending one of their concerts lets you relive a special part of music history.

  • Like seeing The Beatles themselves

by montgomeryconcertgoer on 3/21/11Montgomery Performing Arts Centre - MontgomeryRating: 5 out of 5

I can't imagine there being a better Beatles tribute act than this. The guys playing John, Paul & George all looked like them and sounded like them whether singing or talking in all phases of their careers, from `62 to `70. The guy playing Ringo played and sounded like him when singing, but was too beefy and didn't look like him until the final segment when they dressed like the Let It Be & Abbey Road albums at the end. All the music was faithfully done, but of course like any band, they had their share of minor sparse flubs, which I didn't notice the last time I saw them, but those flubs were forgiven. They played songs that The Beatles couldn't have possibly done live in their time with just the 4 of them, so in that respect, it was more than surreal. I've seen them twice and will go back again. The place was sold out. Who'd have thought that a musician in 2011 could make a great living being in a Beatles tribute band & sell out 1,800-person theatres at $35 a pop?

  • Fab Four Average

by Scandlin on 3/21/11Montgomery Performing Arts Centre - MontgomeryRating: 3 out of 5

If you had never seen Rain you would be impressed by the Fab Four. However, their corniness and over-pumping of the audience was a bit offputting, especially the fake sentimental breakdown at the mentioning of John Lennon's murder prior to the excellent performance of Imagine. If these guys would emphasize the music and let it speak for itself then the "excitement" of the audience would be real and not so much manufactured. Excellent on some numbers but they would be better off to just perform the Beatles music as the Beatles would have performed it and put the studio elements in the backgroud with a couple of keyboard or sythensizer players off stage. Too much trying to impress and the music suffered somewhat. We know that the Beatles did not play all of the music they created. A good show for the price but a couple of notches down from Rain. However, with just a bit of good advice on their "show", these guys could be absolutely awsome, with a little more attention to their instrumentals. Vocals, less "George" was excellent.

Not what it was built up to be. Expected a far better show. Performers were going though rehearsed motions.

  • THE FAB FOUR

by HARLEYCUSE on 3/21/11Montgomery Performing Arts Centre - MontgomeryRating: 4 out of 5

Absolutely nothing to say negative about the group or show, however, I have had many trips to the center and this time we had Row A seat 1 & 2 and the volume, accoutics etc., were terrible...could this be a "blind spot" in seating. We were very disappointed in the sound quality...you can see that we bought our tickets last year when they first became available to ensure great seats...didn't happen Also, prices at the bar and snack booth are unacceptable...it's hard enough to afford a night out...
