THE DAN BAND IN CONCERT:

The Dan Band has carved a unique niche for itself at the intersection of music and comedy, combining equal parts humor and chops to achieve their pitch-perfect pop culture send-ups. Known for their histrionic, tongue-in-cheek covers of traditionally female-fronted power anthems, comedian Dan Finnerty and his hilarious backup duo have become a comedy circuit favorite and late-night talk show staple. The Dan Band is a live act first and foremost — their 2005 debut album was a live album — and there's no better way to experience them than on their 2014 tour.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

The brainchild of actor and comedian Dan Finnerty, the Dan Band got their start in LA's comedy club scene, where they were hailed as the "hottest ticket in town" by Entertainment Weekly. After making several high-profile cameos in comedy blockbusters like The Wedding Planner (2001) and Old School (2003), the band released their 2005 debut album The Dan Band Live. The album was a hit, featuring parodies of pop culture subjects including Shakira ("Whenever Wherever/Hips Don't Lie") and bubblegum pop ("Genie In a Bottle/No Scrubs/Slave 4 U") and setting the tone for their future live shows. As the band hits the road for another gut-busting tour in 2014, no topic is off-limits, and fans wouldn't have it any other way.

    The Dan Band ALWAYS put on a great show! I have never been disappointed, even after being to 6 shows. Every show is different because there is interaction with the crowd. Can't wait for the next show

    If you have yet to see this band,you are missing out on music and fun. This band plays cover songs in their own way that sets the mood from funny to raunchy in a good way of course.

    If you have a sense of humor and like dudes that sing songs made famous by women, you'll love the Dan Band! They are simply fun, talented, and a bit raunchy. You will recognize them as the wedding band from movies like "Old School", "The Hangover", and "Starsky & Hutch". I've seen their show a few times, and always have a fantastic experience. A great show to see with a group of fun friends. :-)

    Watching the Dan Band will definitely go down as one of the best shows I've seen. It was awesome and to sing along with their version of songs was excellent. I would so encourage everyone I know to go watch them perform.

    Went and saw The Dan Band Saturday night with a group of friends, we all laughed and sang and laughed..it was one of the best nights ever. We can't wait for them to come back in July. If you have not seen them, I would highly recommend it. Such a great fun night out.

I BROUGHT 2 FOLKS WITH ME WHO'D NEVER SEEN THEM BEFORE AND THEY COMPLETELY ENJOYED THEMSELVES!!!! WE HAD A GREAT VIEW AND THE SOUND WAS PERFECTLY MIXED ;-] A GOOD TIME WAS DEFINITELY HAD BY ALL!!!!     Perfect show as always, but why put am 8:00 PM start time for a show that didn't start until after 9:00? Little annoying... but Dan and the Band were awesome!

    It was totally full of a lot of laughs, I would suggest getting GA tickets to get at the front of the stage because he interacts with the audience! The only downside is that it is literally only an hour :( We wanted to see more! I would suggest it for a way to kick off a night out for sure!

    If you love the dan band in old school and the hangover then I recommend you see them live. They put on a good show. About one hour. Good audience interaction. His sidekicks are a riot.

    Whatever you may have heard about The Dan Band, good or bad, forget it. The Dan Band is the single greatest act performing today or ever. Non-stop laughing combined with very talented dance and musical numbers. Dan Finnerty, the front man, is a consummate professional and his show is a MUST SEE. My girlfriend had no desire to go and refused to tell anyone where we were going but she had a better time than anyone else there. My 18 & 13 year old sons and I will never miss The Dan Band again (please come back to Boston!! In fact come to Worcester, you can stay at my house). Anyone that doesn't know, the Dan Band is the wedding band from Old School and The Hangover. Go see them!!!!

    I had such high expectations for this performance and it was HORRBLE. They were 40 minutes late, you couldn’t understand a word they were singing, and they only played for a little over an hour. I would NEVER see them again!

    I saw the Dan band in the movies, like most people have. Watching them live was a whole new experience. I cannot wait for them to come back to Boston.
