The Dan Band has carved a unique niche for itself at the intersection of music and comedy, combining equal parts humor and chops to achieve their pitch-perfect pop culture send-ups. Known for their histrionic, tongue-in-cheek covers of traditionally female-fronted power anthems, comedian Dan Finnerty and his hilarious backup duo have become a comedy circuit favorite and late-night talk show staple. The Dan Band is a live act first and foremost — their 2005 debut album was a live album — and there's no better way to experience them than on their 2014 tour.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
The brainchild of actor and comedian Dan Finnerty, the Dan Band got their start in LA's comedy club scene, where they were hailed as the "hottest ticket in town" by Entertainment Weekly. After making several high-profile cameos in comedy blockbusters like The Wedding Planner (2001) and Old School (2003), the band released their 2005 debut album The Dan Band Live. The album was a hit, featuring parodies of pop culture subjects including Shakira ("Whenever Wherever/Hips Don't Lie") and bubblegum pop ("Genie In a Bottle/No Scrubs/Slave 4 U") and setting the tone for their future live shows. As the band hits the road for another gut-busting tour in 2014, no topic is off-limits, and fans wouldn't have it any other way.

Sooo funny! I highly recommend these guys to anyone who has a sense of humor and appreciates mad moves that will blow your mind! Entertainment at it's finest.
Went to see the Dan Band at the Wilbur Theater in Boston and loved every moment. We had been fans for awhile, obsessively watching the various YouTube videos and had been really looking forward to the show. It definitely lived up to our expectations. Dan Finnerty is really a very talented singer and the choreography is hilarious. One thing we hadn't expected was his interaction with the audience, including grabbing the cell phone of one poor guy and calling his last dialed number which turned out to be his boss! Overall a really fun, energetic evening.
We had a great time and lots of laughts. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to have fun! Even if you haven't heard of the Dan Band, you will recognize the songs and lyrics from other musicians. My husband is a big fan, having seen Old School and The Hangover movies and I surprised him for his Christmas gift. He loved it and has been wanting to see them for a long time. This venue is perfect, small and intimate. The ticket prices were reasonable also. We had to sit at a table with another couple that we didn't know, but they were friendly and it all worked out.
Great show!! I would have put 5 stars but the start time said 8pm but show didn't start till 9:45 pm other than that it was awesome.
Venue was great, everyone was relaxed and laid back. Loved it!! Thank you for the great time.

I would see these guys again, could not stop laughing the entire time. They covered so many good songs I couldn't begin to list them all. You guys rock!

We absolutely loved the show. The Dan Band is charismatic and completely inappropriate. This night was so much fun and the tickets were worth every penny.
Good show, they had a nice energy. Seats were in the balcony and the view was great but the sound was ok. Wilbur theatre should check their speakers. Fun night.
The Dan Band was awesome! Lead singer is always quick whitted, funny, and sure to engage the audience! The half hearted choreographed covers are a riot to see performed by three middle aged men. While the set list rarely if ever changes the songs are easily recognized from movies such as Old School, and The Hangover. Drink dance laugh and dig along with The Dan Band !!!!!
This was our second time seeing The Dan Band at the Wilbur. It was just as great the first time.
Didn't know what to expect, the show and performers were kick a$$!! Taking great songs and making them memorable again. The Dan Band was sweeett!!
The Dan Band is always a great time! Dudes singing girl songs with choreography and swearing is what they're about. Dan's interaction with the audience is always unpredictable and he really is a master at thinking on his feet and remembering people's names and things about them. He made me the "Sweat Rag Girl" once and remembered a lot of things about me, which made his serenade to me that more hilarious. Perfect show to see with a fun group of people with a sense of humor. Be prepared if you're sitting close enough to where he can see you... He'll pick on you. Hehe :-)
Dan Finnerty is a funny son of a bitch, a phenomenal singer/dancer and a genius. I just can't figure out exactly what kind of genius. See this guy, bring your kids, worry about the therapy later.
I was overly impressed by these guys, they were very cool and enjoyable the lyrics were bad ass and there act was over the top.
It's just nice to laugh now and then and forget your worries. Even better when you can sing along!
this show was worth what i paid. It was more than i expected.
