THE DAN BAND IN CONCERT:
The Dan Band has carved a unique niche for itself at the intersection of music and comedy, combining equal parts humor and chops to achieve their pitch-perfect pop culture send-ups. Known for their histrionic, tongue-in-cheek covers of traditionally female-fronted power anthems, comedian Dan Finnerty and his hilarious backup duo have become a comedy circuit favorite and late-night talk show staple. The Dan Band is a live act first and foremost — their 2005 debut album was a live album — and there's no better way to experience them than on their 2014 tour.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
The brainchild of actor and comedian Dan Finnerty, the Dan Band got their start in LA's comedy club scene, where they were hailed as the "hottest ticket in town" by Entertainment Weekly. After making several high-profile cameos in comedy blockbusters like The Wedding Planner (2001) and Old School (2003), the band released their 2005 debut album The Dan Band Live. The album was a hit, featuring parodies of pop culture subjects including Shakira ("Whenever Wherever/Hips Don't Lie") and bubblegum pop ("Genie In a Bottle/No Scrubs/Slave 4 U") and setting the tone for their future live shows. As the band hits the road for another gut-busting tour in 2014, no topic is off-limits, and fans wouldn't have it any other way.
FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:
"The Dan Band was one of the most entertaining and hilariously funny shows I've ever been to. What a blast! The best in comical acts!!!"
"The Dan Band exceeded expectations. The song performances and song selections were perfect. The group truly seemed to enjoy performing for us! I especially enjoyed when Dan interacted with the crowd, he was funny without being an a**hole."
"That was some funny stuff. The Dan Band was so funny and he can really sing. The performance was outstanding."

The Dan Band was a riot. Def worth the money and I intend on seeing them again when they are back in town.
incredibly funny. Don't miss them. Candy Shop and Total Eclipse of the Heart are to die for.
Amazing as usual!! Great show to go with a group of people......what fun!!
Show was delayed by 40min they removed the seating so we all had to stand. So not expecting that
As expected, the show was incredibly entertaining! My girlfriend and I laughed from the opening song to the final encore. The place went bananas of course when they performed "Total Eclipse of the Heart". The price was amazing also! All around great time, and a great way to spend a night with either your bf/gf/spouse, or with a large group of friends. Highly recommend!!
If only the show had been longer. It was a perfect show, and the price was right, but I could have taken another hour
Got into the show and I was so excited. We arrived about 10 minutes early...mistake. The Dan Band didn't take the stage for over 40 minutes. Absurd! Hate stuff like that. They only played for about 1 hour and 5 minutes. They were fun and funny and Dan was a riot. So pros: good time! Cons: Started late, didn't play for very long.
Show was fantastic, great crowd interaction, and fast, continuous pace. Only knock would be the show lasting only an hour.
The show started 45 minutes late and lasted only 1 hour. Although the performance was good, it was just recycled material that they already used. Since all of their songs are covers, I was surprised to see that there wasn't more content.
Not only was the musical performance hysterical, but the dialogue and jokes that he had with audience members was even better
Great show! Couldn't stop laughing throughout. Would definitely recommend.
Even beter than I hope, and I had huge expectations. A really fun show, i'd see them whenever they come back to Boston.
These guys are so funny and talented. We just saw them at The Music Box last weekend and at Club Nokia on October 30th and once again they know how to entertain. Love the music and the backup guys are great...Dan is very talanted...Can't wait until May 28th@ Club Nokia.
Second time I have seen them and they are awesome! So funny!
We had a great time, first time to the Grove and we enjoyed the venue. The Dan Band is Funny!
I had a blast! I loved the Dan Band! I want to see them again when they come back to Anaheim!
Don't wast your money. Every song sounds the same and they are really not that funny. My friends and I left after 20 minutes.
The band was tight, the choreography was hilarious all the way through, Dan was super-quick with comebacks and sizing up the audience. Joe Sib was a great warmup act - took us down memory lane from his childhood (a very typical 70's childhood! sort of). The musicians were great. It was just a great night. Only bummer was the super drunk group of secretaries partying it up next to us at the venue - learn how to handle your high! Otherwise, we had a great night and I'd recommend the Dan Band to anybody.
the show was entertaining, but, call me old, the speakers were soooooooooooooooo loud, i couldn't hear any of his lyrics (which sort-of misses the entire point of this type of show) and I couldn't even recognize the songs that were playing. It was that loud. Louder isn't ALWAYS better. Very loud is GOOD, maximum volume sucks!!! Also, didn't need an opening act. Not that kind of show.
Dan band was very funny and entertaining, solid hour of fun at the right price.
