THE DAN BAND IN CONCERT:
The Dan Band has carved a unique niche for itself at the intersection of music and comedy, combining equal parts humor and chops to achieve their pitch-perfect pop culture send-ups. Known for their histrionic, tongue-in-cheek covers of traditionally female-fronted power anthems, comedian Dan Finnerty and his hilarious backup duo have become a comedy circuit favorite and late-night talk show staple. The Dan Band is a live act first and foremost — their 2005 debut album was a live album — and there's no better way to experience them than on their 2014 tour.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
The brainchild of actor and comedian Dan Finnerty, the Dan Band got their start in LA's comedy club scene, where they were hailed as the "hottest ticket in town" by Entertainment Weekly. After making several high-profile cameos in comedy blockbusters like The Wedding Planner (2001) and Old School (2003), the band released their 2005 debut album The Dan Band Live. The album was a hit, featuring parodies of pop culture subjects including Shakira ("Whenever Wherever/Hips Don't Lie") and bubblegum pop ("Genie In a Bottle/No Scrubs/Slave 4 U") and setting the tone for their future live shows. As the band hits the road for another gut-busting tour in 2014, no topic is off-limits, and fans wouldn't have it any other way.

The Dan Band is such a fun show! Dan is hilarious, I love the audience interaction.
I had front row seats for The Dan Band. They put on such a great show, we were laughing the entire time!
If you ever get the chance to see the Dan Band, take it. This show was awesome. The band rocked and the choreography was great. They were hilarious! Don't miss them!
Loved the Dan band! So much cursing and joking around with the audience! Dan was awesome and his two backup dinners and dancers were amazing! It's so awkward seeing two middle aged guys dance the way they did, but it made the night magical. Thank you Dan for coming to Tahoe!
Got there nice and early and ended up right up front, in the centre. Dan has some A grade crowd interaction. He even flipped me off personally. AAA+++ Will travel 200+ miles again to see him again.
The Dan Band will give you music in such a way that you'll never hear the songs without seeing them in your mind! As much as I totally despise Single Ladies -- I'll listen to The Dan Band's version anytime.
Simply put, the Dan Band always delivers a fantastic show. They know how to engage with the audience and make sure that everyone's having a good time. If you haven't seen them, you've missed one of the best shows around.
The show was awesome. Had a great time. The band put in one hell of a show. All the guys were very talented and had great choreography that I know takes lots of practice to get the timing right. Seemed to legitimately be having fun on stage and that echoes through the crowd. If you get a chance to see them, do it. We are already on the look out for their next visit.
This band is so much fun, great way to spend an evening laughing. They made our night.
The Dan Band is a real band not just a side show like i thought
The Dan Band was a fun, moderately high-energy concert. Dan interacted with the audience in a comedically-playful manner. If you have an aversion to profanity, then this probably isn't your type of show. I took my wife and two friends to the concert, and they were only vaguely familiar with The Dan Band. They all had a great time and we all laughed a lot and really enjoyed ourselves. None of us were particularly impressed with the opening act, Neil DiamondPhillips, which is why I did not rate this show higher.
I have heard nothing but great things about this show. As soon as I found out they were going to be in LA I bought the best seats in the venue available. The tickets said the "doors open at 8pm." I arrived at 8pm thinking they would go on at 8:30pm, 8:45pm or 9:15pm but alas they went on around 9:35pm. The jokes/songs are not that funny after waiting for over an hour and a half. Meh.
The Dan Band was such an entertaining concert. My wife and I laughed the entire time. They engage the audience and make everyone feel like part of the show. This was my third time seeing them, and I will see them again the next time they are in N. California.
The show was fantastic. They put on a very interactive and high-energy performance. Wonderful.
Being a Dan Band fan for a long time now, I was very excited to see that they finally made it to FL! Not only was the show a huge success and ridiculously entertaining, but Dan actually walks around a ton and talks with fans; our seats were close enough up front that we got a little chat with Dan himself and Dan had my boyfriend stand up and show off his amazing beard to the audience!
Great stuff, but didn't perform his best song, the one I came to hear-- Feel Like Makin Love. If I'd known, I wouldn't have purchased tickets. Still, it was a good show.
The Dan Band was hilariously fantastic! We arrived early and had a round of drinks while waiting for the band to go on. Bartender was very nice and service was quick. Great show and a lot of great music and laughter. The audience interaction was some of the funniest parts of the show.
He 's as much fun in concert as he was in The Hangover. Loved the show, just wish it was longer. Highly recommend if you're looking for a fun night at a great price.
